00:08 is an extraordinary avant-garde short where style, music, and intention align seamlessly. The animation is clean and visually appealing, and the subtle music supports the imagery without leaving any sense of absence. The work demonstrates a clear, systematic approach, with rules, patterns, and structures guiding every movement. Small variations within this system generate transformations, showing how minimal changes can reshape an ordered visual framework. A particularly striking aspect is the artistic perspective: references to well-known experimental works and styles are noticeable — stylized figures reminiscent of Keith Haring, Picasso’s line drawings, and perhaps even elements recalling The Scream. These cues emphasize that the film is conceived from an artistic viewpoint, rath…

I found this rather interesting. I'm not however going to sit here and pretend I knew what the message was or how it related to me in any way, I'm going to sit here as a passive viewer that genuinely just thought it was great. The animation is great. It's all hand drawn and takes you on a rather interesting journey. Its premise is that with every sip of coffee, something changes and by the end of this incredibly short piece, it's turned into somewhat of a crazy trip. I thought the animation was great and I'm giving it a 7/10 The music is superb. Not much more to say. The choice of music here is captivating. Again, I'm not going to pretend I know who wrote it. All I know is it's great. Normally my third category is story. It's a man drinking coffee and things change every drink. I won't…

If you derive "dementia" as the meaning of this, you're an idiot, sorry. Dementia, a sickness that consists of the mind decaying and slowly losing realization of memory and the world itself until its nothing. This short starts sparse, and starts slowly building itself into a wild, jazzy, abstract collage of wonderful sense expansion. It truly is the most extreme display of boredom and wandering thoughts expanding into a mess of creativity. no degradation to be seen so far. The score is wonderful, eccentric loops building until it explodes into an avalanche of free playing. it captures the monotony blooming into chaos perfectly. My only complaint is that the artsy fartsy conclusion isn't longer. it's fantastic, gorgeous shapes and colours splatter all over the place and make a cacoph…

It starts how it ends, a man taking a sip of their drink. At first, I thought it was just gonna repeat over and over again. But the animation slowly changed with every second that passed. This movie was tagged with dementia and there couldn't be a better word than that. It feels like life and death, and how your world changes with dementia. The animation is smooth but in your face, and I'm a sucker for pencil animation so I enjoyed that. The sound could be better it seemed quiet for most of it. But if you have a few minutes of free time, go ahead and watch it.

It was an interesting experience, I loved the sketched animation of this short film as well as its soundtrack that dances according to so many visual stimuli, and what captivated me the most was the general aesthetic of the work, adhering to a children's drawing style that combined with the context depicted. However, at a given moment, what sounded like animated surrealism ended up becoming a visual nuisance, not that it completely compromises the experience, but I believe that for such a proposal they could have taken it a little lighter, so that we viewers can enjoy the film without fear having an epileptic fit...

A man sits alone in an empty room. There is a cup of coffee in front of him which he languidly reaches for and raises to his mouth. He takes a sip before placing it back down on its saucer. This short series of quotidian actions take place in a mere eight seconds and repeat... Or so it seems at least, as it is not long before this cycle is interrupted. This seemingly everyday event is the basis for the animated short '00:08' directed by Yutaro Kubo. It is, in my opinion, a reflection on absurdist philosophy, portraying, in particular, the absurdity of everyday life. While it may not be everyone's cup of coffee, if you have not already seen the short then I strongly recommend you do as not only will my interpretation make more sense, but if you do dislike it you'll at least witness some of…

*sips* *SIPPING INTENSIFIES* *SIPPING INTESIFI-* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- *brain.exe stopped working.* ... Don't you hate it when you fall into dementia when you're trying to drink your "coffee"? It was a weird trip, but I liked the animation style and the creativity behind it though, how did something as simple as drinking a cup of "coffee" turn into such a thing huh? Just disconnect your brain to watch and enjoy it, don't even think on understanding, just look at these transitions synced to the music, babe. Music is a bit depressing at first, it gets more enjoyable by the end. Anyway, where do I obtain what the protagonist had? *sips* This was just a 5-minute short, don't expect this review to be too long.

0:08 is repetitive, it has good animation but wouldn't recommend ever watching it. In terms of story, there is none. He just d r i n k s there are also no characters per se, just the same scene. If you think the Endless Eight arc from Haruhi Suzumiya was bad, here is a whole anime which is just that. This one was better than that arc though, it was satisfying at points. This is basically the most mediocre show I have seen in awhile. _____ ________ __________ _________ ______________ ___________ ______ TLDR; boring mediocre but with good animation and aight sound design

It's basically a person sipping from a cup, which later turns into a series of surreal drawings. Frankly, the "sipping from a cup" part goes on way too long. That being said, the artist is clearly talented. The artwork is impressive enough to warrant a watch, especially given it's only a 5-minute short, but don't expect to be blown away. There's also music, but it alternates between being bland and being annoying. If there was some underlying message, it was conveyed too pretentiously for me to notice, but I'm pretty sure it was just a way for the artist to flex their talent.

I believe that this artwork is trying to show the complexities of what it means to be a human and it does that and takes it to a whole new level of depth especially when it shows how something as simple as drinking tea can show the true reason we are alive STORY: I interpreted this story as something to teach people how complex a human is ART: the animation style helps reflect the story so much with the collage like art style showing how crazy a human is SOUND: the music goes perfectly with the video CHARACTERS: the one character is at first showed to be a normal woman drinking tea but as we go on into the anime we see what is going on inside of her ENJOYMENTY: I absolutely loved the animation and the story it was telling OVERALL: 10/10

The best way I can describe 00:08 is that it feels like an acid trip. It's oddly hypnotic in a way. It has some nice art, too. It doesn't really have a story, there really are no characters except for the man drinking coffee. Overall, if you have some free time on your hands and want to see a confusing animation for a time killer, give it a watch just for the sake of watching it. Maybe you could get a chuckle out of it, too. Or if you just want to waste time, you could watch it. It literally doesn't matter what circumstances drive you to watch this, it's literally just 5 minutes of a dude drinking coffee turned wacky.

This is my first review, so don't come at me if it's poorly written. 00:08, standing for 8 seconds, is an anime short with the same clip repeated over and over again for 5 minutes, but something seems to change every time. The clip is of a man, unknown whereabouts or identity, drinking something which i can only assume is coffee or tea. Now that i have that out of the way, let's get to my ratings. Story: 3/10 To be fair, there isn't much of a story, but i still feel as though there is a slight story there. Art: 2/10 Be real, whether you like this short or not, the art is not very good. Sure, its unique, but, it mostly looks like just sketches. Sound: 2/10 From what I can remember, there isnt much sound to begin with, and the little bit that there is, it is pretty average sounding. Char…

To make it as clear as possible if you are expecting something more "conventional" and just want to watch stuff like that, I doubt you'll appreciate 00:08. If you feel like seeing something different, you might want to consider checking it out. It's something nice to watch if you are into "Picassoesque"-"Daliesque" themes, mainly form an artwork point of view. It's very short, 5 minutes, so you can give it a go. The drawings and "animation" are good, it must have been a nice exercise for the authors. The "soundtrack" goes well with the "story", it helps giving that surrealist aura. The idea behind is not bad just nothing special or new. I found it slightly unnerving a couple of minutes in but that's art for you. Only because I didn't understand it, it doesn't mean I wasn't entertaine…

I enjoyed watching those 5 short minutes, the animation is pretty good. I got anxiety listening to the music but I think that might be the point of it (not to give the viewer anxiety, but to show anxiety? maybe, it kinda represents me going on a loop when I'm angry or feel negative). I feel as if the person who was drinking the tea (or coffee?) was representing both males and females (not sure if it's just my imagination) which is pretty cool. It's pretty good, just a random person drinking a cup of tea (or coffee) and being lost in their thoughts while drinking it! I would recommend those 5 short minutes of your time watching this, it really wouldn't hurt!

This short 5 minute video is probably one of my favorite shorts ive seen. The sound design and music intertwine so well with the visuals giving you a sense of interest but also anxiety. Each time the character sips his coffee something changes. Anyone who has a few minutes to spare should watch this and admire how well done the art and sound is made. story: 6/10 There isnt much of a story to follow. all the watcher knows is that someone takes 8 seconds tosip their coffee.Though it may not have a deep and interesting story its still so intriguing to watch because of the mundane task being made so abstract and strange. art: 10/10 The animation is beautiful. It threw me off at first how the character looked but the more i watched the more i realised how important the artstyle is in trying…

Disclaimer: I plan to write a review of all the anime I've finished within the last four years. Let's go. This was an uninstersting boring short, so the fact I'm writing about it perplexes me. He drinks coffee in different ways until the ending changes altogether. Is this existential confusion? I don't know better than anyone else, but it did VERY little for me as a story. I would rather study polymath than re-watch this on repeat. Fun fact: I idealise Piero Scaruffi. Another fun fact: his life is far more interesting than this short. PS: I have no beef to whoever created this. Just try better next time.

Prejudice is a baseless and often negative preconception or attitude toward members of a group. Prejudice can have a strong influence on how people behave and interact with others, particularly with those who are different from them, even unconsciously or without the person realizing they are under the influence of their internalized prejudices. Common features of prejudice include negative feelings, stereotyped beliefs, and a tendency to discriminate against members of a group. In society, we often see prejudices toward a group based on race, sex, religion, culture, and more. While specific definitions of prejudice given by social scientists often differ, most agree that it involves prejudgments that are usually negative about members of a group. When people hold prejudicial attitudes t…

Many don't like this animation, which is understandable - but this is art in its purest, subjective form. Some like it, some don't - it's all up to you I personally enjoyed it as I am an artist myself. The traditional-esque animation style was refreshing to see. The transitions remind me of Gerald Scarfe's work and the music added to the atmosphere. In my opinion, there's no story to this. Giving it an extremely deep analysis would make it lose its simplicity. Art - as I've mentioned before, it was good. I cannot categorize the genre of music, but it is most definitely classical music which I enjoyed. Character - regarding my comments on the story, I'd say the same thing applies to the character. There is no story, therefore there is no character. Overall, it's dementia. Weird. Abstrac…

Honestly there's nothing much to talk about it, but one noticeable thing is that its animation is even smoother than most of the hentai anime. At first, it seems that a man is leisurely enjoying his cup of tea, but there's way more much than that. 5:19 is the actual length of this movie, but in this time, so much happened that it would even put One Piece to shame. However one cannot remove out the argument that something is definitely mixed in his tea. It might be Ruffies, so do not do drugs kids, its bad for health. At last, I would like to say its a good learning experience to watch such a surreal animation. The artists surely would have enjoyed creating this work.

*Watch with Headphones* This is Art. Do not expect an amazing story in a short amount of time. This is a visually pleasing 5 minute video that does not have one clear story. This is an episode of wonders and mysteries that I highly recommend watching. I thought it was very weird but that makes it so interesting. The music makes you actually feel something. I got very nervous forwhat was going to happen by the music alone. So it is 5 minutes and it will make you confused and this will make you THINK and thats why, I very much enjoyed it.
