BanG Dream! Ave Mujica

BanG Dream! Ave Mujica

Introduction

The day Sakiko Togawa's privileged life crumbled, she painfully broke her vow to CRYCHIC and left the band behind—an act that tore her heart in two. As days fade into nights, she struggles to make ends meet until a certain cherished memory is tainted, pushing her to the edge. Driven by a fractured sense of purpose and the need to reclaim what she lost, Sakiko forms Ave Mujica, a masked symphonic metal band. Its members are bound not by a shared goal but by the fragile threads of their divergent desires. Together, they weave a haunting masquerade of loss and rebirth, captivating audiences with a gothic musical stage play. But as the girls' ideals collide, the scars of their pasts rear their ugly heads. The brittle facade the girls have built threatens to collapse beneath them, bringing Sakiko to the verge of falling apart. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This is basically BanG Dream! SEED DESTINY. My first impression was that the script simply was not refined enough. It tries to do too many things at once, and the result feels scattered. More than anything, I disliked how the dramatic pressure and tension could never sustain themselves for very long. Around episode 2, I was thinking: “This is hell… and there are still ten more episodes of this? Excellent.” I genuinely expected the story to keep descending from there. But around the “Haruhikage” incident and the reunion, the pressure suddenly dropped. That was a major disappointment for me. The developments themselves make sense on a plot level. My problem is that the drama leading to them did not feel convincing enough. Instead of watching relationships gradually reach a breaking p…

What I liked: The music animation is well done — all the fingerings and gestures of the musicians are realistic and faithfully replicated in the anime The music is great, I especially love the opening and ending The animation is detailed and beautiful, even if it's sometimes a bit jerky The personal stories of the band members are explored, which makes it easier to know who's who What I didn't like: With all these girls from two different bands, it's difficult to know who's who, especially since they have nicknames too The stories of some characters aren't easy to understand — I was confused by Uika's monologue, for example The background scenes are beautiful but felt stark and not very lively; they weren't very varied either. What I remember is the Togawa mansion, the school, the scene…

I think its better you watch the prequel 'BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!' before you watch this, so you are more familiar with some of the characters. The show starts stronger than its predecessor. Of course music is at the center of this show but the show also deals with mental health and split personality. Though I felt the split personality story part kind of undermines the show a bit , which should be primarily about the pros and cons of forming a band. Some of the songs have burst of emotional outpour which is satisfactory for the viewer. The best songs of the show are left for the later episodes, so you have an better opinion of the show if you have finished it. So you have to overcome the 3D animation style they went for in the show. This is for anime fans and a normie might not be ab…

There's not a lot to say. This anime speaks for itself. It doesn't just speak though; it screams with all its might. There's A LOT to say. It's hard to conceive a more masterfully made piece of art. It was hard for me to just conceive the existence of this masterpiece while I was watching it. EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE. 'Masterpiece' may fall a little short of an adjective for this. If there's a Masterpiece category for media, there might be a God category above it. And over that, there's Ave Mujica. "There's no God. I will become God". And it did, it surpassed even that. Absolute cinema. There's a lot to say, but I'll let the anime speak for itself. This cannot be explained; it must be lived.

"Does the pain weigh out the pride? And you look for a place to hide? Did someone break your heart inside? You're in ruins." - Green Day, 21 Guns How do I describe Ave Mujica without spoilers? After delivering a well-received crowd-pleaser in MyGO!!!!!, it feels like the creators were given almost free rein to cook up whatever they wanted so long as they could bring in ticket sales for the actual band. The result is gothic fiction adapted for the modern age. Not just as an aesthetic, but committing to the tragedy that is the beating heart of such stories. It is the tale of a talented girl who was dealt a bad hand, yet whose hubris and lack of foresight bring ruin to herself and those around her. A tale of trauma repressed until circumstances force her hand. A cautionary tale about the lim…

Ave Mujica, I'd admit that was hell of a ride, I do enjoy watching it but with a tangled emotions from start to the end. Continuation from previous series, Bang Dream it's MyGo!!!!!. This one drives you into the world of Ave Mujica band. How does the band formed, as well as characters interaction and their backstories. The story revolved around conflicts of the band members and there's hella lots of drama every episode. I'd praise it for the theme and settings for this story. It makes me feel uneasy for how the story gonna resolve in each episode. Also, you'll get the answer that's left unanswered in MyGo series. It's a hell of a rollercoaster with no time to rest. One problem that I found is the pacing and writing near the end feels a bit rushed. No need to talk about the music and p…

Instead of making another peak like MyGO, they ended up creating something even cringier. But this cringe is clearly intentional, and it’s precisely that chaotic mess that makes Ave Mujica one of the most fascinatingly told works I’ve seen. From its multi-layered discourse to its play-within-a-play structure,it is, without exaggeration, an absolute tragicomedy. Everything feels a little ridiculous, but in a strangely charming way. The characters openly poke fun at their own stupidity, which makes it hard to take the drama too seriously. The stalker somehow turns out to be the most multi-talented person in the room, media scandals pop up like it’s a prime-time drama, and the emotional breakdowns go full melodrama mode. And then when the story reaches what’s supposed to be its tragic clim…

Ave Mujica: Great music but diabolical plot and character designs As a sequel to MyGO, lets just say: if you only come for the music, I would just recommend you to just head straight to first and final episode (or maybe half of ep10). However, if you come for the plot.... well get ready for a roller coaster ride. I recommend you to watch in one sitting, as the drama is densely packed, definitely one hell of a ride which will leave you quite satisfied. Although the overall story flow is similar to the prequel, the execution is way worse. There are so many flaws and plot holes that can completely ruin the whole show when you think twice. Also, character designs are... diabolical, completely ruined the characters from the prequel and this show. So don't look deep into the show if you want…

I enjoyed it overall. This might seem negative but that's honestly because it's easier to bring up negative than positives so there's my explanation for the tone not matching the score. Basically, its a 7-8 but it could've been a 9. This show's Achilles heel is that feels like it could've and should've been 24 episodes/2 cours but it was made into 12, except it wasn't based off of any indication I have. It's just paced oddly, especially compared to the MyGo which is honestly the first show that wowed my with pacing specifically on a larger, season-wide level. Sakiko and Uika are wonderfully realised. Their dynamic is wonderful and compelling and they definitely get the most out of it. Mutsumi and Mortis had a phenomenal start but their plot point felt kind of unresolved. Nyamu's entertai…

The story raises a very important and concerning question for everyone: can dolls become a person. According to the plot, five schoolgirls gather in a group, being anonymous they become superstars, fill a stadium for their first concert and begin to suffer. Then they ruin the first concert of the national tour, which only increases their popularity. We will call this group 'Supertroup'. The viewer is shown the story through the bad trips of one of the participants, who develops into Bedlam patient in three episodes. Therefore, she ruins another band performance, but nobody mind it. The only outcome of her performance is that she completely loses her playing skills. Of course, such an event as the disbandment of a popular band on the very first round is discussed by everyone except the sil…

(Minor spoilers ahead) so let me start by saying Ave Mujica is a real masterpiece of a show. the gothic nature of the band that mirrors there real life counterparts is stunning I particularly enjoyed the character development of the band members like Mortis and Mutsumi's split personality battle, as well as all the other members who were dealing with their inner demons and trying to change themselves for the better. this show was so good i dragged it out as long as I could putting time between each episode and it made the ending all the more satisfying I cannot wait for the next part of the series to come out, but honestly after seeing fan art I'd really like to see a spin off of the show where the characters are their band persona's in a separate dystopian world, that would be cool. highl…

It is really nice anime, especially compared to other BanG Dream! franchises, however, in my opinion, MyGO is slightly better. Ave Mujica takes a story that is engulfed in darkness and emotional complexity to deliver a refreshing yet challenging experience, unlike Bang Dream, which has mostly monotonous conflicts revolving around friendship, happiness, cheerfulness, and bright moods. I think Ave Mujica has revolutionized the idea of a girls' band being cheerful. Ave Mujica took a darker and psychological route as far as the storyline goes; emotionally weighing in to create a catharsis. The plot was not really a bang dream type; that was nice, but the majority of it revolved around Mutsumi and Sakiko, while Nyamu and Umiri barely got any story development. For the aesthetics, the band ha…

\Continue from the end of season 1, this time we follow Sakiko as the story slowly reveals the reasons she has to leave CRYCHIC in the first place and her own journey with Ave Mujica. While I do find this anime is not as good as the first season, the story is a bit convoluted at times (I'm looking at you, Uika, Mutsumi - jk, I love you both) and I would like more screen times for Umiri to shine. Also, the tone shift at around ep 8 - 9 is a bit rushed and not completely satisfying like how MYGO! completely nailed that part. But overall, the drama of Ave Mujica! is very intense, darker and crippling at times, there are moments I'm on the edge of my seat. And man, the girls from Ave Mujica! are completely obsessive of each others and nothing brings me more joy watching a show. The music is…

Despite being labeled as a Bandori anime, I honestly think this is something that can be watched and enjoyed on its own along with the MyGO anime. Now moving on to the actual review. Although this is primarily advertised as a music-centric anime, it features psychological themes which are portrayed through its complex character backgrounds which are pretty well-written considering the rather short length of the show overall. The story is full of tragedy, which is definitely a stark contrast from the rest of the band stories in Bandori. I personally found it interesting how every member of the band had different reasons for joining which really adds to their depth. Another thing I found rather interesting was that a lot of the issues that were presented were never properly resolved in the…

Honestly, this is a really good anime, especially compared to the rest of the BanG Dream! franchise—though I still think MyGO is a little better. The story here is actually a direct continuation of It’s MyGO!!, so if you haven’t watched the prequel yet, you really should. If you skip it, you’ll miss almost all of the important build-up and probably won’t understand the characters at all. Compared to other music-themed anime I’ve seen, this one definitely feels different. If you're expecting a slice-of-life music anime with minimal drama and lovey dovey character, you’re completely wrong. Even if you’ve seen MyGO, you’ll still be surprised by how different the vibe is here—and compared to the rest of BanG Dream! franchise. This time, the story fully focuses on Ave Mujica band and its memb…

It's 2008, and Doug Walker is confused. The famous film critic is doing a ten-year retrospective on Pokémon: The First Movie (1998). While watching the opening scene, in which a group of scientists explore a jungle, he poses a series of questions: "What are those things? Who are you? Where are we? What's that thing? Where am I? Is this Earth? Are we in another dimension? Is this the past? The future? The present? What's going on?! Where does this even take place?! Oh, my God, I'm, like, one minute into this movie, already I'm totally lost!" To Walker's credit, Pokémon is a notoriously impenetrable narrative, known for its high complexity and thematic depth. As he explains: "For those of you who don't know what [Pokémon]'s about, I can't help you because nobody knew what the hell it was a…

I absolutely recommend this anime! Firstly, because I love how bandori is become more mature. Yeah, there used to be drama. BanG Dream is not a comedic bocchi without conflicts. But the problem that bandori was always scared to keep push drama, interesting Ras conflict ended in two episodes. But now they taking it more seriously. And I support that, because i want more of this kind of anime Secondly, because such a serious attitude create better plots and better characters. What we can say about Rimi? That she likes chocolate cornets, yeah. On the other hand, Umiri can be discussed a lot. Because she a complicated character. She such a complex character that some people didn't even understand her. It's really cool Third, I like how mygo and mujica are connected. The one is impossible witho…

i was hoping to love this series even more than mygo, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. for me, the biggest issue was that i had too many expectations. if they could write such an impressive and charming story for a band as seemingly "ordinary" as mygo, i wondered what they could create for a band with a gothic and mysterious aesthetic. unfortunately, i ended up feeling a bit... disappointed. the story mainly revolves around mutsumi and sakiko. umiri and nyamu barely gets scenes...... ah. we got almost three episodes focused on mutsumi, one episode where umiri gets some attention, and the two episodes are abt *sign* uika. honestly, my biggest disappointment was uika. giving her such a background felt completely irrelevant to a band anime. mutsumi’s situation at least created conflic…

I have never had my mind occupied by something that I have arrived upon hating so much. There's things I do like. Watching episode by episode was fascinating. The BGM and sound design are a marvel. The voice acting is strong. The whole idea is great, and had so much potential. Sakiko's long-awaited (evil?/redemption?) arc! Mutsumi's getting real focus now, with a very interesting psychological angle to play off of! Starting the first episode with such a big play, where do they go from here? I had hoped. Anytime something that didn't particularly make sense happened, I would brush it off. It's something for the viewer to analyze, and we will be rewarded for our attention later, you'd assume. But that continues to pile up. Episode by episode, there seems to be a lot to unpack and think abo…

Oh thank you Bushiroad for giving us the wonderful Umineko anime adaption that Studio Deen was never capable of creating that we yearned for (I wanted to just write my first setence of the review but its to short for mal, so some thoughts!) Episodes 1-10 are a masterpiece, a great drama, each episode left me on the edge wanting for more. The real show stealer though will always be the beautiful representation of Dissociative Identity Disorder displayed in Mutsumi. No anime, no media has ever been able to captivate DID as great as Ave Mujica has. Her mannerisms, her struggles, her ideals, and her conclusion for her arc all fit perfectly and accurately. After episode 10, things get a little wishy-washy, but it is never not interesting. 9.5/10
