I went into Debt Account with basically no expectations, and I ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. You can definitely see it pulling ideas and inspiration from a bunch of top shounen anime, but the overall concept is unique enough that I was able to look past that. There are a few fan-service moments and some weird sexual stuff that felt unnecessary to me, but thankfully it doesn’t dominate the show. Overall, I thought the first season was really solid. The plot felt cohesive, the story actually progressed, and I liked that there was enough training and development that the main character didn’t just suddenly get powers and immediately become completely OP. The progression felt earned, which made the stronger moments hit better. Solid first season. I’d give it a soli…

After going through the agonizing horrors of watching all 12 episodes, I can certainly say Dead Account is a shonen. It's got fights, story, animation, characters, music, and light sprinkles of fan service! All jokes aside, the anime itself is pretty decent and is an enjoyable binge if your looking to kill time or wait for another title to drop. However, the reason why this show gets a mixed feelings recommendation will be explained as follows: Story More or less, it's pretty cookie cutter? Much like Tougen Anki, Dead account is very tropey with it's premise right off the bat in the first episode. Enishiro our protagonist, is your typical nice dude/delinquent who suffers a tragedy to which in this case will be the death of his sister. Said event also triggers Enishiro to awaken his cyber…

Dead Account The modern day anime infused with Exorcism of all things . Spiritual power determined by the battery left in your mobile phone ? People dying and turning into digital ghosts !! The anime gives of very simialr vibes to " Blue exorcist " and " Tougen Anki " yet it has good animations which kept me going while the story was a little slow in the mid but the 2 last episodes made it worth watching. Although the first episode really got me hooked to the show as Souji had to exercise his sister while he had just awakened his powers ! Many people might not like the anime because of the similar vibes we got from alot of anime before yet I feel " Dead Account " did a good job entertaining especially the characters having different personalities in both class A and B . Hopes " Dead…

This show was appalling and quite frankly one of the worst shows I've watched ART: more like fart 3/10 shit sucked was either bad or mediocre "CHARACTERS": more like fart 2/10. Boring uninspired messes of tropes and like the worst people you've ever met. COMEDY?: more like fart 1/10. There was one joke I laughed at. Mostly every time they made a joke I wanted to shove a railroad spike up my nose like a DIY lobotomy. MUSIC: more like not good 0/10. Some of the worst music I have ever heard. Would rather listen to an orchestra of people!!! PACING: more like fart 4/10. its just bad shit happens for no reason and plot seems to progress randomly. WRITING: no joke the actual definition of a 35 year old trying to bond with kids. like your totally aoeing my pogchamp when I didn't even press…

Dead Account is an anime about exorcists defeating ghosts, something that people are more than used to by now. However, the premise already starts off more interesting than the norm by changing how ghosts manifest into our world and how they are supposed to be defeated. It's a fun and creative anime with a well-written main cast of protagonists, even if the other relevant characters don't receive the same treatment. The protagonist feels very realistic, has a believable goal and isn't annoying with his mannerisms and drive. He also doesn't immediately start overpowered and has to learn and catch up with all of his seniors along his way to learn how to be an exorcist. All of the powers are interesting as well, not only fitting with the personality of the characters but being relevant onlin…

Dead Account can be described in one word: Whatever. It's a very OK show. It's not awful, but it can be if you don't like shounen. Especially very bare bones modern shounen. The kind where you can imagine the next scene and it will play out exactly like you thought because you've seen this exact same plot point in like 3 different WSJ legends. Almost every cliche thing in a battle shounen shows up before you're even halfway through the anime. There's a main trio, two male one female. The main guy tends to be hyper energetic and the other guy is more chill but an asshole, the girl's entire personality is just "teenage girl". Every character gets some kinda unique weapon but the main guy has the most special power evar!!!1!! Some sort of secret society that has been protecting humanity fro…

The exorcist theme is pretty common, but this anime actually manages to make it feel fresh. Instead of dealing with human spirits, it focuses on digital accounts of people who’ve passed away, which is a really interesting twist. The fact that the exorcism is done through smartphones instead of traditional rituals also makes it feel very modern. The story is easy to follow, with a fast pace that never feels rushed or all over the place. For a 12-episode anime, everything is put together really well without unnecessary filler. The art is solid too, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Unique concept + clean execution + fast pacing = a solid anime. It’s not just different—it actually works.

This is a good idea of how to form a world with today's day and age in mind. It covers the normal tropes of vengeance, friendship, getting stronger, loss, etc. The main character is a little thick-headed but is mostly grounded in reality when things are explained to him. The animations are nothing special, I suppose, and it comes off as a typical shounen anime but I liked the idea of integrating new ways to fight spirits as they explain in the anime. We could see more battles and powering up in sequels to come as the anime easily poised itself to do so.

Dead Account is the perfect example that filling your plot with clichés isn't always a bad thing. It all depends on whether you have something of value to show. The premise of this anime isn't innovative, nor does it try to be. It's a typical fighting shonen where the protagonist has a special power, is recruited into a school where there will be more people like him, and they'll have to fight the forces of evil. Up to this point, you might say, "If it's typical, then what's so interesting about it?" This is where the story strives to create a great magic system. I can easily say that Dead Account has the best magic system of recent years, at least of this decade. It's based on something as commonplace as cell phones or electronic devices. A story that seeks to give a modern twist to the…

" Digital Ghost Hunters " Usually we expect to see fancy dressing sense with rare sealed cursed equipment and a dark gloomy atmosphere in anime based on exorcism and ghost hunting . Dead is a pretty good concept of having a power system which is based on on mobile phone batteries even ghosts are digital . They have accounts online the more people follow it the more strong they become . It gives you a little bit of JJk vibe because of academy setting and a quota of exorcising evil spirits but it's a not deep as JJk it's just a simple shonen which can be enjoyed easily . Character designs aren't much special , decent VA , fire op song and some cool fighting sequences . I liked backstories too . I don't know much about Og source but yeah it's enjoyable pretty much . I won't mind another seas…

how much of the good features of jjk can you cut away before you make a show unwatchable? a lot apparently. this show draws from jjk heavily, from the relatively constrained set of abilities characters can have, to the intentionally shitty personalities of most cast members, and to the overall tone of the creatures they face. while not nailing the landing, the show starts fairly compelling with the leadup to souji joining the academy, if you watched just that part, you might be compelled to give the show an 8, but it doesn't hold that momentum for long. the quick bites you need to know to understand the show, which is fairly dark despite the art style implying otherwise, is that there's an upheavel in spirit sorcerery, and new generations of spirits are using digital forms that require di…
