So bad it's good. Only watch this with a group of friends for a good laugh. The visuals were so bad me and my friends would start laughing till we cried. Story is whatever but lets be real you ain't watching this because you've heard it's good. If you enjoyed watching the minecraft movie with friends you'll probably enjoy watching this with friends too. It was genuinely so funny seeing the 2D characters next to the 3D characters and backgrounds. It was also funny being able to tell which characters were gonna die quickly because they showed up as 2D characters.

Well, I guess ripping the band-aid is much easier when you know that this exists. But you know what's funny? Nearly four years later, when this anime has been out, I thought I was gonna think of this being worse than I remembered upon seeing this the second time in my entire life. Oddly, I didn't and actually had fun with it. Don't get me wrong, it is still terrible as well as being one of Crunchyroll's biggest failures when it comes to being an original series. It's just that I kinda find it a disasterpiece. Yes, that word exists, so sue me. Just once in a while, I would find anything so bad, it's good, and I kinda find this series part of that category. Sure, I get angsty when something stupid comes up. I did, however, laugh at it throughout the entirety of the series for just how bad it…

the animation is quite interesting. the mix of low frame rate traditional drawings and cgi characters is understandably off putting, but like. it doesn't bother me much. the story is kinda all over the place. but, importantly it has a story, it has themes, it's trying to say something.
now, i might be one of those broken people who prefers the likes of Neil Breen for /what they are saying/ better than literally anything disney/marvel/etc have made in the past 30 years. beautiful images empty espousing nothing. vapidity, my friends, we are beset on all sides by profound vapidity.
unironically better than rwby.

I watched Ex-Arm out of curiousity searching for the worst rated MAL titles. Initially, I gave it a 1/10 after 1 episode and dropped the show as I couldn't even look at the monstrosity of the animation quality and declared that this show would be the benchmark for a 1/10 entry, with completely horrendous animation.
A few months later, I was clearing off my list of dropped entries and decided to just complete the entry, since for me it is better to regret watching something, rather than to regret not being able to watch the show, since I'm watching it on youtube under a licensed distributor's channel for free (specifically: Muse Asia), not knowing if the license would expire someday and it might not be renewed. My FOMO basically got the better of me and I watched the remaining 11 episodes…

Ex-Arm is a masterpiece on par with literary works such as Skibidi Toilet and Monster School. The plot and setting is richly developed, and features extensive critique on what it means to be human, that puts Frankenstein to shame. The animation is flawless, and has finally hushed all the anti-CGI anime critics, who believe the medium is doomed to failure. The soundtrack is masterfully crafted and the choreography of the fight scenes is beautiful. I could not imagine how any show - nay, any literature - could possibly outdo Ex-Arm.
Yeah nah this show is hot ass 10/10 made me laugh harder than any recent comedy

Ok, I'm also one of the viewer thinking to be honest this series is not as bad as what those dislike said. The CGI was bad at first but as it goes it is getting better. Better as in like not crazy like Ufotable,Mappa not Wit. But the reason I can continue watch the entire series is because the story is good, pace is good plus voice actor/actress is doing their best job. I'm not sure about the dub cuz I no longer watch dub version. For those who read the bad remark. I think is best you finish the full series before make you rate it.

If you're looking for an anime that makes you feel like you're playing a free-to-play smartphone game, then "Ex-Arm" might be the perfect choice for you! This anime takes you to a world where characters seem to have been intentionally drawn and animated poorly. Don't worry if you can't understand the plot, because even the characters don't seem to know it. Additionally, you can appreciate the lack of shadows and nuances that make objects and characters even more beautiful with that veil of perfection, angles, close-ups always and in any case with the same basic expression. In short, if you want an anime that makes you say "wow, it looks like they drew and animated it in an hour", then "Ex-Arm" is the option for you!
But don't worry, because even though the animators seem to have used adva…

One of the best animes of 1994. The Artstyle is amazing it's like it was made by 4 interns in 1 night. You can really feel the hard work put into this thing with every frame meticulously animated to make it look like a masterpiece. If you like Attack On Titan, One Punch Man, The Promised Neverland, Overlord, Evangelion, and Naruto, you will love this movie.
Ignore This:
Unique story well rounded characters characrers reacted to the situation realistically characters were unusually strong/smart/stupid i liked the genere they had flaws i think people will like it/dislike it/why? Why-man dr. Stone/dr strange

So, the worst rated serialized anime in history. It can't be that bad... Can it?
To be honest, while I had absolute blast observing the bizarre trainwreck of Hand Shakers, Ex-Arm doesn't feel good to watch, outside of joining everyone in collectively taking a piss in Crunchyroll comments. The source manga seems very mediocre story-wise, but it has one thing going for it – it's pretty stylish and gives a decent amount of personality to its core characters. The anime just butchers it with eldritch, horrible, unfinished 3D amination blended with cheap 2D art in most eye-hurting ways imaginable.
Broken and unfinished are generally the main points. Something like Hand Shakers can be appealing in the so-bad-it's-good way because it never had potential to be anything more, it's just hilariously…

In my opinion the character and story isn't that bad, the only problem were the production team that make it be worse than abomination.
I've seen the manga and read it to the latest chapter and boy even the distant between heaven and earth it's just to short if I compare the anime and the manga. Honestly an apologize were not gonna fit anymore, the production, publisher, and those who funded it owe their soul and blood to the mangaka. Just read the manga and save your eyes from whatever this show really is.
From the first to the last episode there wasn't even a single moment that make me amaze to what the show gave me, even if there is it's came from a question "what on mother earth they thinking to say this worth to air?"

This is the prime example of what an anime should be. This anime single-handedly negates all other anime with only episode one. Crunchyroll really outdid themselves with this revolutionary, state of the art PS2 exclusive.
Everytime the main character, amos, or aimer one of those, went on screen, I immediately start praising the name of this masterpiece. Truly something to behold.
I particularly liked the scene where... Ah apologies I seem to have forgotten the scene. Anyway, this cartoon is really in a league of its own. I liked how they tried to incorporate this manga into real life by using realistic 3D modelling using photoshop.
Studios like MAPPA and Ufotable should be on their toes, there's a new GOAT in town. This sets a new standard for new webtoons alike and I cannot wait to se…

To be honest, from the manga it seems very well done. the story that the author gave us is good. I like they did some extra scene from manga. I know that this is the first studio that animated anime for the first time. I really respected their efforts for it. It was a good start for a company/producers made like this.. CGI animation is hard to get it right, not all big studios want to give CGI touch. But this studio tried so hard to made it right.. Really Good effort for it. Nice job
About the sound, VA and Backsound, it is not bad.. i gave 7/10 for it. i liked the atmosphere and vibes in this anime.
The characters it sellf had their graphics annd hierarchy on it. it is easy to know which one is the important characters or not. it is good, people will get it easilly. The characters deve…

I might call 'Big Order' as the worse anime ever aired, but Ex-Arm takes the cake, chews it, and spew it out to Big Order face. Before that, I wondered how this anime became the lowest rating of MAL? And I've already found it. I gave some tolerance for bad anime such as Samumenco, Queen's blade, or anything bad for me. But Ex-Arm is an exclusion that should be forgotten for its criminal, which should burn its corpse to ashes and spread their remains to the sea in hope they will never be remembered for their sins and existence.
Seriously, this even can't be compared with 7-min Chinese 3d wuxia animation. Hell, what I'm thinking of? Well, I could compare them... If Ex-Arm was handled by Digital Frontier.
I've regret everything I've watch in Ex-Arm which made me grateful to watch Big Order…

A lot of people bash the CGI animation, but while it is somewhat bad I don't think it deserves as much flak as it's getting.
There are obvious traces that the animators at least tried. There are cool and well animated movements or whole action scenes, there are well done facial expressions, and so on. But they just couldn't keep up for all 24 minutes of every episode. There are fair amount of stiff movements and faces too. Still, I think the animation deserves at worst a 4, with some moments even double that. It wasn't the kind of lazy CGI I've seen in other shows that deserves getting angry about. There are by far worse CGI examples - the most recent that comes to mind for example is "So I'm a spider, so what?".
Similarly, story wise it's not as bad as some people make it out to be. "No…

The hilariously bad animation is a good joke at first, but it gets old after about 2 episodes. I can easily recommend watching at least one episode of this anime, but you really aren't missing anything if you don't want to finish it. Once the story gets to a point where it wants to be taken seriously, it just gets boring. You'll see glimpses of something that looks funny here and there, but not enough for me to want to give this show an ironic 10/10. The characters are as bland as it gets, the story isn't all that interesting...I guess the pacing and voice acting are fine? All I know is that the manga creator probably deserves some sort of compensation for this adaptation.

Honestly I have no idea.
Not sure what to make of the story as the visuals kept distracting me. Not sure why they thought of making some characters CGI while in the same scene as characters that are clearly not CGI. I actually liked the non-CGI character designs more as they were not too distracting. I can understand if used CGI for the more complex designs but this was too much. Characters were lifeless (eyes). Point of view was simply confusing. Quite janky. Figh scences were too much and I had absolutely no idea what was going on. Mediocore story. Good Illustrations to be honest. Overall felt like it was just not refined.

I was actually pretty stoked to watch this anime when it was announced. Probably much of the excitement stemmed from the innovative storyline and interesting characters I had encountered when reading the manga, but good gosh golly was I in for a rude awakening!
The art and visual animation is abhorrent to say the very least. I haven't been this disappointed to see a manga to anime translation since Kengan Ashura. At least the Kengan Ashura anime had CGI mostly in only the fights and the CGI was cringy (as compared to the manga), but passable. The horrendous attempt at animation with this train wreck made me question if I was biased to CGI or not. But for some reason, I kept coming back to watch the conclusion of this anime. It mostly would be due to the interesting MC combined with the la…

in my opinion, this is the worst anime I've ever watched, in terms of graphics, plot, to the voice actors who don't really understand the character's nature, but that's okay, "every mistake is a lesson" so, for visual flight studio, try harder make anime, don't make the same mistake again. keep the spirit, and never give up. because in my opinion, you can make anime that is better than other anime if you want to try and work hard, I am one of your supporters of the many people who support you so that you can make a better anime. thanks for read my review~

Ex-Arm is arguably one of the worst creations ever unveiled upon the human eyes with the intention of being consumed as an emotional story to be taken seriously. The CGI animation is possibly the worst style ever used in anime history combined with an incompressible plot, emotionally absent voice actors, and the worst theme song in television history.
So for me to claim a show this horrible I should be able to provide my reasoning as to why but the biggest issue is that I could not tell you what at all happened in this monstrosity of a show. From my understanding Akira Natsume, the main character, was struck by a car in 2014 before waking up as an Ex-Arm in the year 2030 after waking up from a ten year long coma of when he was first invented in 2020. An Ex-Arm is a kind of cybernetic AI th…

I've never a written a review before, but for this I really have to, if only to warn others.
Let me preface this with the fact that I'vs read some reviews on here already, but I don't fully agree with the general consensus.
Minor spoilers ahead, not that I think you'll miss much because of them.
So, where do we start? Best with the story and characters.
Unlike many, I actually enjoyed the story for the first half of this series. It has an interesting premise, and introduces a whole cast of characters with the potential for some deep, intricate personalities. You might have noticed the "first half" bit here. Sadly, after that, it completely derails into a full-on cliché story with easily predictable "unexpected turns", one-dimensional characters and just frankly nothing redeeming other tha…
