Having watched from Season I to Season II, this story is a prime example of an isekai series trying to be different by selling an intellectual and cognitive narrative, but alas, it failed.
A. The Things I Praise:
1. Excellent Voice Acting
The voice acting is arguably the biggest highlight of the show. The performances are consistently excellent across the board. I honestly can’t even believe that Minase Inori, my absolute favorite voice actress, is part of this project, her presence alone makes it much more enjoyable. The other seiyuu are also good.
B. The Things I Criticize:
1. Wikipedia-Level Geniuses
Kazuya Souma's tactics are actually just basic, real-world common sense (like crop rotation, basic taxation systems, or disaster management). However, in the eyes of the characters in thi…

This part of the series was wonderful, there was way more country development, management and not much combat but still wonderful.
There isn't much to be said as it was about the same direction as the first season took and my expectations grew even more.
Relationship between the characters get closer and even more at the end.
The resolution of one of the main line did kind of sadden me and wish it had a different outcome and even shared the emotions of the MC.
I just hope it isn't ditched any time soon.
Here's hoping to another wonderful sequel.

This review englobes both seasons of the anime
when it comes to the isekai genre I would say that it is one of the sanest of the genre. of course there's the inevitable Harem and slavery aspect almost native to the genre nowadays that is a bit sickening however aside from that I do feel like the whole portrayal of a pragmatic but emotive hero is a breathe of fresh air. I was done with the whole nonchalant trend of heros and seeing the MC was a breathe of fresh air.
howeverall I personally think that it is a great anime to chill and relax to. that is why I recommend it
overall note : 8

I am so disappointed. I hate what was revealed in the last episode. I don't want to spoil anything, but even without that, I couldn't rate it higher than 5/10. It was boring. Characters are shallow like puppets. I couldn't feel anything. I forced myself to complete the story, which is another red flag. It had a promising first season, despite shallow character development.
Last episode changed everything. With hindsight, I'm sure I wouldn't even have started watching this anime. It all looks like a waste of time now.
I won't watch season 3 even if it airs.
P.S. This stupid automated AI feature won't let me post my review as it is stated above, so I have to add some organized Q&A info to pass the check
The story is not unique and is very predictable (especially regarding his harem, etc.…

The second season of realist hero continues to suck at being realistic. All people in the world are still retarded and treat an average person as god incarnate for saying the most basic things. My favourite scene this season is when the main character repeats someone's plan back at them and then commends the person he stole the plan from for being 'quick to catch on' to the plan. Add in a suggestion to exchange receivers and apparently this interaction is enough for a character to beg him to marry her sister because his sheer inventiveness would be such a big deal for their nation!! Sadly the issues are not contained to a collection of lobotomised characters worshipping someone with half a brain. This season reveals slightly more about the worldbuilding and manages to ruin most of it. Part…

I really wanted to like this but the amount of focus this show has on the harem elements completely degrades any actual progression of the plot. I can tolerate a good amount of it, but when the pacing shifts from somehow things finding themselves to revolve around some girl that for whatever reason finds some kind of appeal in the most boring "realist" protagonist of all time, it starts to look feel like that's the only thing the writer of this slop actually cares about.
However, there are a few saving graces which is why I've labeled this at Mixed Feelings. The first half of this show is pretty decent, it establishes some decent world building and builds some of the characters up to your normal generic isekai level. The concept and applications of politics, government, and finance are al…

I watched Part 1 and Part 2 as they aired, but I've had the time to go back and re-watch and subsequently write a proper review for the series as a whole.
In terms of Isekai, "Realist Hero" is not your typical trash or enjoyable slop. Yes, the cliché "Demon Lord is out to destroy the world" plot-thread is there, but it's more a narrative device used for world-building, rather than anything to do with the actual core of the show (as of yet).
Our MC, Kazuya, is not a typical level 999 Hero with all skills maxed-out, nor does he have a cheat that allows him to slay hordes of enemies and save everyone. He's a humanities student, with a vast knowledge base of modern-day political and societal practices, along with a good understanding of civilisation's history on Earth.
The story is about hi…

Really interesting anime, from a realistic viewpoint into economy and how modern concepts would fit in a dark age set world full of magic and finding ways to make them fit together well was cute. Felt like I was getting a fun lecture on the basics of economy, trade and how foreign affairs in a pre-industrial world would look like.
Finishing season 1 felt satisfying, left me wondering more about what would happen and where our MC was taking the kingdom, after starting off almost being sold to another kingdom by a bankrupt king and ending up fixing the starvation and money issues he gets crowned king and gains a hesitant fiancée on his arm the story slowly progresses of him dealing with finances and trade in their own territory, growing tention and rebellion from the land's 3 general armies…

It was worth watching. I'll be eagerly waiting for season 2.
.
I really love this anime. Characters are unique in their ways. The story is fun and it is rare for this kind of genre. There is also a lot of knowledge inserted throughout the story and you can apply that knowledge in your real life. The art & sound are not top-tier anime but the quality does not drop throughout part 1 and part 2. The story and character can compensate for art & music. I really wish it will have season 2. If you have never watched this anime before, I strongly recommend to try once. Let's support this anime together :)

-Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki-
As one of the isekai anime, this is an anime that is different from most other anime. In this anime, unfortunately you won't find much action, but you will be presented with lots of dialogue and the country's political life.
I think this is something very unique and interesting, because it happened in our own world (such as border disputes, international agreements, power struggles, corrupt aristocrats, refugees, etc which are problems that are still happening in our world today). I, as a person who understands these things and learns them, am very satisfied with the stories presented. there is also a lot of knowledge interleaved throughout the story and you can apply this knowledge in your real life.
The story is fun and rare for this kind of…

The concept is good but what is shocking is that trying to adapt it into 20 minutes of episodes. A concept like this could be very very long, so it was a challenge for sure. And I can't say they managed it so well but they at least seem to successfully convert a long novel into anime.
Realist Hero can become boring from time to time. For me it looked like the studio cared about the show so they didn't tried to rush too much. Some dialogues were so long that they took literally more than one episode if I remember correctly. So I would say that Realist Hero is a good anime for those who are interested in stuff like politics, history, economics, and such. But I wouldn't say it's a great one for its audience either since one side of this anime does not meet its name, the Weeb side. There is…

I almost didn't watch season 2 because I didn't really enjoy season 1. I'm glad I actually came around to it because it was a great step up from season 1.
Art and sound were solid and consistent to season 1, but the main thing that stepped this season up was the characters and story. I already knew I enjoyed the characters and the cast only grows larger and more interesting this season. Some characters wind up getting pushed to the side but I didn't really mind it too much as they still do have a presence and show back up later in the show.
The plot was fantastic. The side story from season 1 gets resolved satisfyingly and we get an interesting set of developments that I never could have seen coming. As much as I enjoy fighting shows I think this was the first in a long time that I legi…

Just finished it and I have to say, it's a downgrade comparade to the first season, mostly because it loses the surprise effect, the "oh this is definitely a different Isekai" feeling of the first season.
So here we have a definitely worst season, my reasons :
- Roroa was really underwhelming, I expected her to be an antagonist or at least to give the MC some trouble but she's just another waifu.
- There are two episodes in the middle who's flat out boring (the slave merchant one and the next) I saw myself skipping through them, I didn't even though about it in the first season.
- It doesn't go deep in the politics, Wich is a shame.
- For me the queens magic was kinda obvious, so it was not a big reveal, neither the direction or the soundtrack gave it the impact that it should have.

This anime is quite the odd addition to the Iseki genre. On the one hand, it follows many of the tropes existing in other Iseki works, and on the other hand, it tries to add new perspectives and interpretations to the genre.
The good parts where the anime excels will probably focus on the premise, which removes the battle aspect of the usual "beat the demon-lord singlehandedly" and makes the knowledge of the MC that was summoned from another world the unique power that he possesses. The anime mentions, on more than one occasion, that the role of the hero is to change the world, something that he successfully achieved by unconventional, unexpected means while utilizing knowledge, rather than brawn.
Of course, the anime falls apart by relying too much on philosophy and simplistic interpret…

i enjoyed this series so much the world building works the series up slowly at first but then starts steamrolling and it just works.
the reveal in ep 13 is incredible and comes out of nowhere and is a perfect season end point.
the characters are all memorable and work well together.
i am looking forward to the future of this series cant wait till season 3 hopefully it is sooner rather than later.
in summery i highly enjoyed it and 10/10 recommend to watch its a good starting point into isekai anime as it stands out with its character development and avoids common tropes for the most part but even the ones it dose have work well with the story.

This anime has been very interesting through and through. If you've seen part 1 or just happen to come across this review without watching part 1 then I'd recommend this anime. It goes into the politics of making a kingdom successful and makes it entertaining. Now there isn't really a big climatic ending, but none the less this anime has kept me entertained and taught me a ton of things. There are flaws such as introducing some characters that really don't play much of a part in the story. Though they try, but after hearing about the little wolf girl I was kinda expecting her to play a big part because of her abilities, but they kinda just made her a sister and left it at that.
So yeah it definitely has it's flaws, but the world building is interesting, so I'd recommend it. I rank it a 7…

Another "Fantasy Isekai with a harem". This would not be an inaccurate way to describe this show.
However, this show stands out as a "feel good" story.
The main protagonist is just another dude, but unlike a lot of protagonists, he's highly intelligent, rational, and hardworking. And the entire show involves him doing good things in a highly logical manner, caring for other people but knowing when to show strength and even brutality for the betterment of the kingdom and its people.
One might view this Isekai as an ultimate male fantasy story. A story where a normal guy rises to the top through hard work, intelligence and decency, and is rewarded with a good life and good female companionship. Which he does not abuse.
This is what makes the show so enjoyable. It's a story of success an…

I enjoyed the first season, I also have no hate against Isekai anime, I enjoy them a lot. I thought that it had laid out a very interesting foundation. So wow, was I really disappointed with this second season/half of the show.
I feel like so much went wrong here and by that last episode I was like like "bruh" what? That last episode really lowered the rating of the show.
Story 3
The story felt very blah and some of the things Souma focused on or went over I just started zoning out on. So if the last episode wasn't the way it was, I probably would've have left this at a 5, but that last episode added what felt unnecessary and made so much of what was previously laid down questionable and in the air. Sure, one could say there was foreshadowing, and at the same time I felt those hints wer…

Epic, Awesome, Amazing, Wonderful, Out of this World, Woah. What more can I say? I just wish for a Season 3!!!!
The anime is outstanding since Season 1 I really like how they took care of their pacing and did not rush anything at all, but do everything in order explaining all that needs to be explained, I do not find their vast amount of information tiring at all, but rather I am in awe of the dedication and hard work they poured in it. Each of the characters, especially Souma is outstanding. The story is amazing. Again I want to say this I wish for a Season 3!!!

first season was better and except the final last 5 episodes didint offer anything im little bit dissapointed but still love the show. The 12th episode was completly blank page, really was the worst episode of the series and 8th episode is the 2nd worst but i can hardly say 13th ep is the best ep and all those reviews goes for both seasons. I loved first half as story and still as i say love the show so my approach may seem too possitive but i belive this anime one of the must watch isekais so im giving 8
