This show feels like something that every romance lover (like me) should like. Unfortunately, it just missed the mark.
This show had a lot going for it. Good visuals, good music, good characters, an interesting premise, and, to me, the most important thing, a complete story in 12 episodes. In of itself, the primary dynamic of acting bleeding into their relationship is interesting, even without the multiple personalities. The character dialogue is pleasant (which is especially valuable given the acting aspect), and the two main leads are decent enough characters in their own right. Surprisingly, the pacing in this show felt nice. Their relationship felt like it developed fairly naturally (at least after the love at first sight), the story hit every major story beat that you'd hope for with…

The premise for a full-fledged romance anime was promising; the idea of the protagonist, Rin Nanakura, adopting various "anime clichés" to woo her *senpai*, Eiji Kitahama, offered an interesting narrative device. In the early episodes, the lighthearted tone and Rin’s constantly shifting personas were engaging and enjoyable. However, as the series progressed—despite its short runtime—I found it a real struggle to get through the middle section; the events felt somewhat saccharine, repetitive, or "flat" regarding character development. On that note, the characterization could have been handled much better; we learn nothing about their personalities or inner lives beyond their love for acting and their feelings for one another.

Masterfully written and directed.
Every episode doesn't feel like a waste. The interactions between the two main characters are heartwarming to say the least. It's such a pure innocent form of love that is expressed in such a comedic way. Fantastic idea of turning a "harem" (a cliche genre at this point) into a single character acting out different personalities in the context of a theater club towards her crush.
Honestly, cannot recommend this enough. This might actually top my favourite which was teenage romance SNAFU or 1st season of bunny senpai.
Art is totally fine, you either like it or you don't, as usually. Story is 10/10 in terms of the context
Characters (there are only like...6?) are well done enough. Really the entire show is focused on the main couple so it's actually re…

This is one of the most underappreciated anime. As you’ll see, the core idea behind it isn’t particularly unique. However, the series makes full use of its worldbuilding, and for a small 12-episode anime, it feels like a masterpiece.
Overall Rating: 8.6/10
Animation – 6/10
Nothing particularly outstanding, especially considering the low budget, but it’s consistently solid. Some 3D shots felt slightly out of place and didn’t blend perfectly with the rest of the animation, but overall it was good enough.
Main Characters – 10/10
One of the show’s biggest strengths. The couple has excellent chemistry, and the relationship avoids the typical popular-girl/shy-guy dynamic. Their designs are fairly simple, but they fit the tone of the series perfectly and are executed really well.
Side Charact…

The first few episodes were a little unconventional and didn't follow a traditional serial narrative and almost seemed more episodic, but that allowed it to establish the characters and the relationship dynamic and eventually transition back to a more serial narrative. It gave them enough depth and facets without adding the normal fluff to the story.
Pro/cons
Something that was not necessarily good or bad was the absence of any real side stories, the side characters were present and not necessarily undeveloped but obviously strictly supporting cast. Also something that was just ok was the total vanilla-ness. Yes, it was nice "relaxed" romance but depending on what you want it wasn't riveting.
I didn't really appreciate the development of the guy though. Although there is a spectrum to t…

I actually had this series on pause since like episode 11 back when it was first airing in 2024, but I finally got around to finishing it now in Feb 2026. To be honest, there’s nothing super "mind-blowing" about it, but it’s definitely not a bad watch.
The whole premise is just a guy and a girl and everything basically revolves around their little interactions. It's a pretty basic setup, but the hook with the girl, Rin, roleplaying as a whole "pseudo-harem" was actually kind of fun. It was a bit kinky in a friendly way but honestly it worked. Even though the tropes they used were the usual stuff you see in romance anime, they were still done well.
The biggest surprise for me was the ending. I really didn't expect to see them actually get married, but it was a nice touch even if it felt a b…

Description makes it seem kinda shallow. Like dude just kinda scummy.
But nah, not at all. It's like the author read/watched "Tsuredure Children", saw Kana x Chiaki dynamic and said. Yes. More.
The "harem" is just an inside joke. Really is just cute, flirtatious role-play, as she loves acting and he loves every bit of that.
Every episode is just. RELATIONSHIP GOALS. "Misunderstandings" to an absolute minimum, as you watch the near sickeningly sweet, high school sweethearts love story progress.
A refreshing, pure rom/com story with no annoying drama or forcing of comedy to get in the way. Not really even any side stories. Just them, natural laughs and a lot of bittersweet moments that has you screaming into pillows.
A hidden masterpiece likely looked over because the off-putting descri…

Cute but absolutely mid. If you just want something light hearted to wash over you then this is for you. With zero actual character growth or development its definitely one of the least interesting things ive ever watched. Not boring though. Just cute and thats all.
Technically its all perfect, no issues. Theres hundreds of better, more engaging romance but when series like rent a girlfriend, komi or a couple of cuckoos are running for hundreds of chapters with fuck all happening this is a nice change of pace in terms of people getting together.
No love triangles or short haired childhood cuck friend. I guess id recommend it if you dont want to think. I'll probably forget the series exists in 6 months time, but wouldn't say it was a waste to watch it.
If you like this kind of thoughtl…

You know the "three episode rule" for judging anime? It's totally overkill for this one. You need just 5 minutes of its first episode for it to win you over and for you to learn what it's gonna be like.
Based on a 4-koma manga it's core is just a constant barrage of short skits where a newbie drama club girl acts out different personalities for the props-department senpai she likes because he once jokingly said he wanted to be popular and have a harem of different girls. Each skit is fun and cute and awesome if you approach it expecting just that instead of a deep pulitzer-worthy story. They both mix in "acted out love" with their growing true feelings in a natural way never using one to completely hide or deny the other, never trying to artificially prolong or complicate the story by we…

Giji Harem is a comedy/romance/school anime that isn't particularly groundbreaking, but it's entertaining and enjoyable.
We follow the daily lives of the protagonists Giji and Rin, who both love acting and theater. Giji fantasizes about having his own harem, and Rin, being a very good actress, plays various female characters that cheer him up. Although the harem theme is mentioned, it's just a silly idea of Giji's and is never explored in depth. It's a way for Rin to get closer to Giji because, as I said, she "acts" different characters in the pseudo-harem.
Many might not give it a chance if they read the synopsis because they think it's a harem anime, but believe me, there's hardly any fanservice or harem elements in this anime.
In any case, I recommend it!

It's hard to write a review about this anime because I really want to say I enjoyed it for what it was but there's just some things that bring it down.
Overall it was a nice watch, the voice actors did their jobs well and the pacing was fine. I actually enjoyed the setting because it's rare to have a high school romance continue after high school and they actually show it. It was also interesting how the pacing was because it really felt like it was 2 episodes per episode, you'd get half way and it'd feel like the ED was going to play but it just continued on.
The animation was fine, yeah it was one the cheaper end but the focus was on the characters which is the main point the to romance.
The music was nothing spectacular, I couldn't remember any of the songs other than the OP and ED.…

Now this is what I call a romance anime! “Giji Harem” is a truly unique and refreshing take on the genre, and watching it was an absolute delight. The protagonists are charming, full of chemistry, and the series is packed with adorable moments that warm your heart. Best of all, it has a closed ending — something rare in romance anime — which makes the experience even more satisfying.
My rating is 9/10 — and the only reason I’m not giving it a 10 is because I personally enjoy a bit more buildup and “dragging out” in romance stories, which Giji Harem doesn’t really go for. Still, it’s a fantastic series I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, heartwarming, and complete romance anime.

This is one of the most wholesome romance anime you'll ever witness, and probably one of the first wholesome anime to make you bored. Well, slice of life is about making the viewers feel at home to be fair and it's not really about an epic fantasy story.
Giji Harem is not what I expected to be at all. I thought it was just going to be a girl trolling a dude who is fantasizing his girl classmates to be in his own harem but it's actually just the girl doing split personalities and actually ended up falling in love with him hence the romance tag.
In older romance anime, the stories are usually longer and in way more episodes because of the technology back then. This can be to air more in televisions to gain more revenue and to I guess maybe to transition to other titles with a slower paced…

No no, this anime is simply incredible. I have to say that at first I wasn't convinced and I was a bit creeped out, but each episode moved me more and more. I couldn't stop screaming with every scene of this anime.
I have to admit, it touched my heart. I didn't expect much. Even at the beginning, the character designs are quite poor, but as the episodes progress, they improve more and more.
I don't usually write in-depth reviews; I just write what I think at the moment and translate it as best I can.
Character design 7/10. The truth is, the protagonist is a bit lacking for me.
Romance 10/10, without a doubt the best.
Story 10/10. It's simple, but that doesn't make it bad. The pseudo-harem with an actress is partly original.
The score doesn't matter, since for me it's still a 10/10.

[TL;DR: A lighthearted romance romp with an interesting gimmick. While the art and animation leaves a lot to be desired, it's easy on the eyes and on the kokoro as well. A fluffy "boy meets girl" slice-of-life story without incessant melodrama and surprisingly real, heartfelt moments. It's short and sweet, only 12 episodes, it's an excellent choice if you are looking for something warm and fuzzy to watch on a Sunday afternoon!]
I like stories that don't try to be more than they are, and Pseudo Harem fits the bill perfectly. A light slice-of-life romance anime without all the fluff. The gimmick this time is "why would you need a 100 girls in your harem, when you can have one with a 100 personalities?". Not in a clinical sense of course, but that she is a very talented actress who can switc…

Four characters that swoon over one guy with various personalities this one is one character with four personalities swooning over one guy it’s literally called fake Harem and it works it is a harem but one to one it’s really good idea.
About being said it is your generic high school harem romcom doesn’t really do anything out of the ordinary apart from a lack of fan service beach episode which is nice to see and I’ve only just realised that writing this review.
The characters are nothing ready to talk about just your generic five piece anime characters but moulded into two like I say nothing crazy just 12 episodes of generic high school romcom but it was good I like the characters I like how it’s all a “ act “ whilst watching the relationship blossom was really nice
I could’ve sworn t…

I didn’t expect much just thought it was another cute romance. But I saw some clips and it just seemed so wholesome and I hadn’t watched a rom com in forever so I gave it a try! And wow! It definitely has some moments in the first few episodes that are questionable but by episode 4 you are HOOKED! It’s definitely a standout episode. The show is just a very wholesome and comedic journey. My biggest complaint is near the end. The last big conflict is an issue that doesn’t seem like the outcome that happens needed to happen. But luckily you get the whole story in this show and the ending fixes the result of that conflict so it’s all good. Great fun definitely worth the watch!

Pseudo harem is a very interesting anime with the main plot line being something surprisingly unique.
Where can we start with this anime, Ill say this don't use the 3 episode rule on this anime it gets so much better as it progresses. This anime is one of the purest romances out there (not horimiya level) and it certainly felt like a realistic romance despite the fact of how anime tends to exaggerate how it is, at times it reminded me of real life couples that i know. The whole trope behind this anime (not a spoiler as it is revealed at the very start of the show) is that it is a one girl harem. The animators executed this trope very well and ontop of that it had a very wholesome plot line and the character development is very decent to say the least. There is alot of memorable moments in…

please watch this anime if you want some simple plot and storyline romcom anime. this anime is so cute and really really show that if they want it, they’ll make it.
graphic and animation wise is so so. not that good and as i said it a simple story line so the progression in their relationship kinda fast but not that tooo rapid. overall i really like it and the relationship is also positive. for the harem part, i love it and they way they portray harem in positive and fun way not in sexually way is so refreshing for me because a lot of anime nowadays have turn harem into misconceptions. it’s exciting and after so long i finally can binge watch anime in one day straight bcause the story is good
