Introduction

Violent misfortunes frequently occur around 16-year-old Yuuta Okkotsu, a timid victim of high school bullying. Yuuta is saddled with a monstrous curse, a power that dishes out brutal revenge against his bullies. Rika Orimoto, Yuuta's curse, is a shadow from his tragic childhood and a potentially lethal threat to anyone who dares wrong him. Yuuta's unique situation catches the attention of Satoru Gojou, a powerful sorcerer who teaches at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School. Gojou sees immense potential in Yuuta, and he hopes to help the boy channel his deadly burden into a force for good. Yet Yuuta struggles to find his place among his talented classmates: the selectively mute Toge Inumaki, weapons expert Maki Zenin, and Panda. Yuuta clumsily utilizes Rika on missions with the other first-year students, but the grisly aftermath of Rika's tremendous displays of power draws the interest of the calculating curse user Suguru Getou. As Getou strives to claim Rika's strength and use it to eliminate all non-jujutsu users from the world, Yuuta fights alongside his friends to stop the genocidal plot. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This shouldn't have been a movie. Even though it's nicely produced with an enjoyable story, there's no big reason to turn the backstory of a secondary character into a cinematic movie. A set of OVAs or special episodes would have been more than enough to deliver what can be considered as complementary material only. My biggest disappointment was not seeing any further deepening of Gojo and Geto's relationship, which is hinted to be important for the future choices of both characters. Gojo is supposed to consider Geto as his one and only friend, so it was natural to expect the movie to have shown more about them for the sake of character development. That is, the movie feels incomplete because, even though Gojo is a secondary character too, in the anime, he's constantly moving the strings o…

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was a great addition to the series and gave a much more personal story compared to the first season. I really enjoyed following Yuta as the protagonist and seeing his journey from someone terrified of his own power into someone capable of standing on his own. The relationship between Yuta and Rika is probably one of the most interesting parts of the movie. It is tragic, unsettling, and surprisingly emotional at the same time. Rika is absolutely terrifying when she wants to be, and honestly, I think I would lose immediately if she ever challenged me to a 1v1. I genuinely wouldn't stand a chance. The movie also gave us more time with some great characters, and I have to admit that Yuta quickly became one of my favorites. Yes, I have a crush on him, and I'm not even going to…

I typically dislike prequels, chiefly for the reason that it is enormously difficult to present meaningful stakes to the audience: if you have even a rough idea of how the story "must" end — and by extension, which characters "make it" — then it's hard, at least for me, to become personally invested. JJK 0, however, manages to pull this off by centering itself on the psychological and emotional journey of its protagonist. You learn about Yuta's past, his fears, his hopes; you watch him fight, struggle, and change; and the film also takes its time to navigate his budding relationships and development with several of the JJK students, his mentors, the antagonist, and above all, his past. While some might dislike this de-emphasis away from action, I felt that it made the moments of high-inten…

The truth is- if you want to enjoy this movie or JJK in general, you absolultely positively have to look at this from a shounen perspective. That means: 1. The main protagonist is always "special" and the good guys always win. 2. The bad guys must be strong enough to be a "threat", but not strong enough to ever win because of reason 1. 3. The power of friendship. Without spoiling, Yuuta is a kid who is cursed and has cursed powers, but he is wimpier than Deku. Regardless, he's still dangerous, so Gojou is task to train him. So Yuuta goes to JJK High. And bonds with the first class. And they go on missions. And they end up being friends. But Getou, the bad guy, wants Yuuta's power, so he sets up a very simple and predictable scheme to kill Yuuta and steal his power. And all of JJK still…

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is an utterly fascinating anime film that left an indelible impression on me through and through. Though I didn’t know too much about the plot ahead of time, I was nonetheless immediately captured by its gloomy but emotionally intense ambiance. It was exciting for me that despite the high level of action presented in the film, the director succeeded in creating a meaningful story full of emotions. Indeed, all the fight scenes were excellently animated and very attractive visually. Meanwhile, the story had nothing artificial as it was focused on the issues of pain, connections between people, and struggles faced by some of the heroes. The cast of characters played by skilled voice actors deserves special attention. All the protagonists had strong personalities, which was…

Jjk 0 is a foundational piece for understanding the rest of the story. It's also emotional and has great fighting scenes. I don't know why you wouldn't watch this if you watched Jjk season 1 or, if you watched it chronologically by events, 1st arc of season 2. The only reason why I docked a point was that it didn't answer some questions that I think should've been answered in this movie. Other than that, the characters are enjoyable, the fights were nice, and the comedy hit. It was also a great rewatch. Helped me clear up some pieces that I've missed after watching season 3. Many of the events in this movie were referenced in other seasons, so it's pretty much an unskippable movie.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is a simply brutal film in every possible way. This film manages to be both a prologue and a perfect complement to the main Jujutsu Kaisen story, functioning both as an excellent entry point for new fans and as an extremely important expansion of the already known universe. It's the kind of film that takes everything that's best in the original work and elevates it to another level. The great highlight of the narrative is Yuta Okkotsu. Unlike Itadori, who possesses a more impulsive and extroverted energy, Yuta is a much more introspective, melancholic, and emotionally broken protagonist. This makes his journey extremely human and interesting to follow. At the beginning of the film, he seems like just a lost and traumatized boy, someone crushed by the weight of his own ex…

From adapting what was originally a one shot into a film adaptation after the success of the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen, JJK 0 is in a lot of ways a fun movie to watch as from the beginning to end the movie is an enjoyable experience and after reading and watching the Hidden Inventory arc, it elevated the experience of watching this film compared to when I first watched it in theaters. JJK 0 is a great film with a wonderful story, animation and by the end it is tragic knowing what sets out later in the future as it gets even more depressing but overall I had an enjoyable experience watching this. This is a good film one that I will happily recommend people to watch if they want to get into the series

absolute banger. This guy told me u look like ur fav is gojo and i said i dont like jjk. After refreshing my memory rewatching the show i realized I mixed it with demon slayer. Apologies. I hate that i do love gojo. only talked to that guy twice, am i see through? gotta start wearing shit bruh. Story, pacing, characters were amazing, shows how dynamic differences can be, where u come from, what u believe and what of that makes up who u are. ART’S AMAZING. so much effort. its crazy. I love the wacky animation style when they get all goofy. perfectly framed and posed. funny how they kept repeating the same few rules of the curses n shi multiple times throughout the series and movie, they know some aint gonna watch the 24 ep first season. fried brains. bro watching the first season just flew…

We're back in that anime again, the one that everyone praises but is actually bad. I watched this movie mainly because I enjoy watching the extra contents. Story: In this movie, they made Yuta the main character. He had a girl he loved when he was little, but she was dying, and actually, he was the one who cursed her. So, I would say it's average at best, but unfortunately, it keeps getting overhyped. This movie wasn't dramatic enough to make me cry or anything, honestly it was very cliché. I had only read volume 0 of the manga before, but I don't like it, it's very empty and unnecessary. Rating Story: 10/4 (you can't make me cry with these) Animation/Sound: 10/8.5 Characters: 10/4 (finally a series where Gojo doesn't steal the spotlight, I'm very happy) Overall enjoyment: 10/5 Conclusion:…

Really loved the movie, its pacing and story-wise it did not give any stale moments. the animation, music, battle sequences and choreography (the sound too!) is fantastic. I always watch this movie first at cinemas and had a friend who watch this movie without any idea of jujutsu kaisen anime(which is my mistake). But He liked It (though he has pretty good taste in anime) I really thought at first that he knew the show but he did not watch it and he came with me in cinemas with no anime knowledge(which is pretty intriguing part about him) He said he liked it and will watch the jjk anime. the 0 movie made him introduce to the jjk universe. (enough of him!) It was a really good movie even if non watcher liked it. And that movie was pretty special for me too. the ending song was my favorite s…

The popularity of the first season gave us a good looking movie with the best protagonist we could have gotten from the show. Yuuta is such an amazing protagonist with an great story, the way he interacts with the people around him is fantastic and the climax made him such a great character. The animation got a lot better from the first season... as expected from a movie of a show, still it had a great quality and the fight scenes are good... in theory, the last fight was the best one. After that... is just more Jujutsu. Great characters, interesting world building even if I don't care that much about it, good sound design and voice acting... is just good. I still don't care about the show but now with this movie I can say that when something new releases I will watch it. It's not like…

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is one of those anime movies I’ve watched multiple times, and for good reason. While the story isn’t overly complex and has a bit of fluff here and there, it still delivers emotionally and serves as a prequel to the main series. The movie centers around Yuuta Okkotsu a more timid, reserved protagonist compared to Yuuji and I personally found him really likable. His bond with Rika, the traumatic accident, adds a deeply emotional core to the whole film I really appreciated that Suguru Getou played a central role again. His presence, along with his cult and twisted ideals... It was interesting to see how his ideology started taking shape and how he interacted with Yuuta’s immense power. The contrast between Getou and Gojou also adds another layer to the bigger narrative. Vi…

I knew this movie would be good, but I wasn’t ready for how much I’d end up loving it. If you’re someone who appreciated Season 1 but felt like some of the side stories or characters didn’t get enough spotlight, this movie fills that gap perfectly. First off, the story hits hard. Yuta Okkotsu isn’t your typical shonen lead—he starts off anxious, withdrawn, and very unlike Yuji—but watching his growth felt incredibly satisfying. And man, that emotional gut-punch of a backstory with Rika? That actually caught me off guard. They somehow balanced the dark tragedy and the raw action really well without it ever feeling forced. Also I really love those all-out brawls where multiple characters get to go wild, and this movie delivered that energy like no other. It wasn’t just “one-on-one duel, re…

I really loved the premise of the main character!! Some may say it's quite cliche' however I'm a sucker for scaredy cat losers gaining confidence and a sense of 'wait MAYBE I AM CAPABLE!!!!' The story of how the MC came to be, is quite inspiring, as just love can bring us some sort of objective, even if accidentally. To be self aware is quite the blessing in disguise. The art was actually amazing, I per se am not a massive fan of the original series, however I love a good shounen from time to time, and this hit perfectly! i LOVED the design of the curse. The BGM was very atmospheric. Definitely more recommended than the og series lmao {1st season at least imo} Rika, ily sweet bb @w@

(note, I'm more of a casual anime watcher these days, as I'm in my late 30's and find it harder and harder to find motivation and time to watch anime because so many are childish or too generic) Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was an excellent fun movie, shocked to see some of the reviews here. I highly recommend it if you're into JJK or good anime movies. If however you're into the generic high school animes with cringe forced drama, I don't think movie is for you. It's a prequel so I wasn't expecting much in terms of developing the overall story but it was really fun to watch with a lot of feel good vibes and good action. Maybe I can agree there was a lot of flashbacks but it's a prequel movie, the whole thing is technically a flash back already. I wasn't crazy about JJK when the first season origina…

Help My Girlfriend Is A Demon This was the movie that told me that jujutsu kaisen could actually be entertaining all the way through without the feeling that it was like a saw and just kept going up and down. Story engaging, characters lovable goof balls that are unique, just the theme and The Journey, fights were so entertaining and gorgeously animated It cannot be understated how important the rule of cool is for the show, if it was just a little more cringe like Demon Slayer than it would not work, but it is cool and it shows me cool stuff, So my brain does not question any of it. It's a Small Part in a big narrative, It works as a self-contained story and that is a feed for a movie like this.

This movie covered what was my favorite arc in the manga and it did a great job! The protagonist this time is not Yuuji Itadori, but a new character named Yuta Okkotsu. He's a great protagonist because, to me, he's more relatable than Itadori. Instead of being a happy-go-lucky MC, he's a depressed teenager with no friends. Seeing him grow is a delight. The character of Yuta Okkotsu is similar to Junpei from season 1, so his story felt like an alternate reality for Junpei, which is something that I enjoyed. Something else that I liked about Okkotsu is his power. In general, Jujutsu Kaisen's powers are interesting, but his is my favorite so far. Now, I suppose we should talk about the visuals and soundtrack: both were great. For the music and sound, what I can say is there was a scene ne…

I did not care for season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen. I think I gave it a 6 on MAL. I did however like this A LOT. This makes a much better beginning to JJK than season 1. It does everything that JJK does well, better and avoids the stuff that makes JJK season 1 weak. The action was really good and thrilling. I felt more investment in the characters that were present in this film than I ever felt in JJK season 1. If you didn't think JJK was all that after the first season, give this a try. If you still don't like it after this, you probably just do not like JJK for whatever reason. JJK 0 is also a much better way to start JJK than season 1 as well.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 took me by surprise in the best way possible. Despite my strong dislike for the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, which I consider one of the worst I've seen, especially with characters like Itadori and Gojo who I find terrible, the movie was an entirely different experience. It's incredibly well-executed, visually stunning, and fluid from beginning to end. The pacing was perfect, and the film maintained a dynamic flow throughout, with action exactly where it needed to be and precise flashbacks that added depth without dragging on. What impressed me most was how straightforward and to the point it was. There was no unnecessary filler or stalling. They set out to tell a story, and they delivered it cleanly, with a strong beginning, middle, and end. The final battle between Yuta and Ge…
