Really underrated anime. The best thing you can say about it is that it doesn't jerk you around, that is, it doesn't try to be clever by subverting your expectations, like a lot of the modern stuff. It's a straightforward romance story, that pays off in the end. I'd say the first half feels a bit silly, being full of ecchi fan service typical of the harem genre. But then picks up in the latter half, and feels quite serious by the last episode. I'm baffled by the low score this gets here. Probably people started watching and were put off by the silliness of the first half and stopped watching. Trust me, keep going. It's worth it. One last thing: the main character, while wishy-washy on occasion, has a lot of charisma. So many male protagonists in anime today are such pushovers, and you find…

This was a great romantic drama!
The story was simple, and the only thing that annoyed me a little was the number of misunderstandings (especially later on), but other than that this was a typical school setting anime with each episode at just the right lenght. This didn't feel like a harem at all. The ending was also really cute.
As a romance enthusiast, I must say that the romance between Tsuyoshi and the other characters was really good and this was the best way to adapt a VN dating sim to anime.
The MC here had a lot of personality and I liked him a lot, and although I only liked and cared about some of the girls, each one is unique.
You can tell this was a VN made by ELF corporation because of the similarities between these characters and the ones on Dōkyūsei.
The OP and ED are R…

A very good anime from the 90s that was overlooked and overshadowed because it's a non mecha anime that came out in the time often called the Great Mecha Boom, because of the success of shows like Gundam Wing and Evangelion. If you are interested in the 90s anime but is tired of Giant Robots punching other Giant Robots and Monsters, this is a good anime for you.
Story: 8/10
Imo, this is one of the few good VN to anime adaptations. The story is not too unique. It's fairly simple and easy to follow which, imo, is a good thing. And it's not dumb like quite a number of romance anime. The romance in here, while being not actually that true to reality, or the best, is still quite realistic compared to most harem/romance anime.
Art: 8/10
When it comes to art, I have to say, this is the peak of…

Do you like girls? if so this is one of the best anime you could watch
With some of the best post Gunbuster/Evangelion/Princess maker designs I've ever seen and a tone that feels straight out of a Mitsuru Adachi manga this is what is up, I genuinely feel that this is one of the peaks of 90's moe and anyone who likes seeing cute girls will enjoy it.
While it does lean upon some more conventional elements of anime it utilizes the kinds of inventive characterization that appeared in KareKano,
If you're looking for something to come off you Gainax binge and to adjust yourself better to the typical climate of anime this will be the perfect trantition, no episode feels too long or too short, they manage to pack in just enough charm to keep it feeling good through the course of its run.
