Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You Season 2

Introduction

After a momentous New Year's vacation and with Valentine's Day approaching, Sawako Kuronuma is beginning to get along with her classmates. However, now that Sawako has realized her romantic feelings for the popular Shouta Kazehaya, she grows hesitant toward giving him obligatory chocolates and decides to not give him any. In turn, Kazehaya, who likes Sawako, feels a distance between them. As February ends and April arrives, the second year of high school begins for Sawako. Luckily, she ends up in the same class as her friends Ayane Yano and Chizuru Yoshida, along with Kazehaya and his friend Ryuu Sanada, in addition to the newcomer named Kento Miura. When Kento develops an interest in Sawako, Sawako and Kazehaya's feelings for each other are put to the test. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season continues the story with the same sweetness and warmth that made me fall in love with the first season. Watching Sawako slowly become more confident and open with the people around her remains one of my favorite aspects of the series, and her relationship with Kazehaya continues to be incredibly adorable. That being said, this season can be frustrating at times. The misunderstandings between the two of them last longer than they probably should, and there were definitely moments when I just wanted to grab both of them and force them to have an honest conversation. Still, their insecurities feel believable considering how inexperienced they both are when it comes to love. Despite the occasional frustration, I really enjoyed seeing the relationships develop—not only…

Absolutely gripping season but my god so much damn misunderstanding at some point I started losing my mind - I thought kenta was a real prick of a charachter and really disliked him the whole way through - absolutely loved the turn around that kurumi had this season and thought she was actually one of the strongest parts of the season - the confession was absolutely incredible and heartfelt and I loved everything after aswell from them becoming an actual couple to them making it all known - chizu and ayane continue to be goated friends and ones that will always look out for sawako - overall I recommend this more than season 1 however if you get annoyed easily and have no patience this would be a skip

Joe is officially the biggest cockblocker in all of anime. Ignore the blonde kid from the trailer because this season is not a cheesy love-triangle spin-off. Season 2 of Kimi ni Todoke is a straight continuation of Season 1, and it picks off directly from the shrine episode (or Chapter 31 of the manga). This part of the story continues to redefine Kazehaya and Sawako's relationship. Only this time, the stakes are higher and the pressure is mounting. It's a race against time as our two love-birds attempt to re-establish their feelings for one another. As we all know, Sawako is as dense as a brick wall. But just how long can she continue to misinterpret things?

I know people who watched this series had zero patience so I’ll make it short. People forget that Sawako is 16 years old. She’s a kid who has a lot to learn. Grew up with no friends (except that one forgettable character who showed up in S1 three times) and lowkey was bullied. Sawako is so dense and innocent because she hasn’t had experience with people growing up besides her parents who are very soft, protective and kind to her. It’s why she is the person she is. I like to see that this anime teaches us that there are all sorts of different people around the world who are genuinely kind, honest, and need time to understand. The anime is slow, yes it’s unrealistic but it has a lot of realistic values we can learn from. It teaches us to be patient, kind to ourselves and enjoy the litt…

I watched this right after season 1 and I'm going to be honest I don't think I liked season 2. First off the characters were a huge issue for me. I felt like Sawako completely regressed and was worse then herself in season 1 before the character development. Like she was way too passive and whiny in this season and crying over every little thing she was kind of like that in season one but it was worse here. All her problems were self inflicted. Kazahaya I didn't like either he became a bland and generic stupid whiny simp with no personality, just a empty husk and he was also super passive which made their relationship not interesting at all anymore. This brings me to my next issue the conflicts this season were so contrived. They both were acting weird and stupid and not talking and assumi…

After a couple of sh***y titles for this season, I had the brilliant idea to bring out some of the past works. I don't remember why this one was chosen, but here's the lucky one. I knew that the first season wasn't the greatest as the plot goes, but at least it was entertaining, and fun, and some drama, and some doki-doki. Plus, Sawashiro Miyuki! So I gave it a rewatch, after 10-15 years. And while I was watching and enjoying it, I was wondering why I never tried it earlier. Well, this season happened and from the first episode it all came back bit by bit. What a sh***y piece of media! Everything is a plot device, plot contrivance or plot hole. Forced drama just to give it something "new". Well, I don't know what it became, but what I personal felt was: annoyed, cringe, bored, more anno…

I already shared most of my thoughts in my review of the first season, so I will keep this one brief. Overall, the second season mainly continues and clarifies the relationship between Sawako and Kazehaya. To be honest, I do not remember many specific moments from this season. My memories of it might even be mixed together with the first season. What I do remember is that the story continues with the same slow-paced and gentle tone that defines the series. The charm of *Kimi ni Todoke* has never really been about having a unique or unpredictable plot. Instead, it lies in its sincerity and the way it carefully builds emotional moments between the characters. The art style still fits the soft atmosphere of the story, and the characters continue to feel genuine and relatable. Maybe someday…

Wow, first review of this season for the new year! On Valentine's Day no less! The first season of this felt very slow, but eventually I realized how much I loved it. The characters develop a lot more than I ever thought they would, and it's not just the Kuronuma x Kazehaya show. I love that we see her friends trying to deal with their relationship issues, where Chizuru deals with rejection, and Ayane learns she might have never been in love before. It provides a nice, sappy, but realistic example of dating for the first time, where things happen slowly, and that's healthy. Really, really cute series and I would recommend it to anyone who's really sick and needs something sweet to watch while they recover (based on no real experience there, lol).

So this is the continuation of part one, my feelings haven’t changed. The show is still incredibly slow paced and the only good thing about this is that season two.felt like a generic anime show which I guess is nice Though I am quite bored of this now I hoped it would improve in season 2 but it stayed the same but hey I watched it so it can’t be that bad. It has exactly what you’d expect from season 1 but adds a new character. It’s just more episodes of the same thing no new story nothing But season 3 is out and every EP is over an hour. Yeah I’ll watch it but purely because I’m this far I can’t stop now Overall 6/10 fine I would only watch it if you like it or you just want to continue the show because you don’t wanna drop it

So yeah, after wrapping up Season 1, I honestly couldn't sit still — I had to start Season 2 right away. The slow-burn build-up between Sawako and Kazehaya had already pulled me in so deep, I was practically begging the universe, “Please let these two finally figure it out!” And guess what? They did. And it was beautiful. Season 2 is shorter — just 12 episodes — but every single one felt emotionally charged and meaningful. I actually liked that they trimmed down the side stories and zoomed in more on the relationship itself. It was like all the emotions that had been simmering under the surface in Season 1 finally started bubbling up. Sometimes awkwardly, sometimes painfully slow, but always, always genuine. There’s a lot of misunderstanding between them in this season too — and yeah, a…

This season was better than the first season in some ways, but also a lot worse. It drug out needless drama, and it got annoying at times. It had some very cute and wholesome moments. Those moments don't make up for the tediousness of the other episodes. Plus, the side cast felt like props during this season. Like, they were just there to lift up the main cast. Though I do think this season was more fun, and a lot funnier. I recommend watching both seasons. They were definitely worth it. Though forewarning, this season will FRUSTRATE you and stress you out.

Just stop after season 1 and you're fine. I gave the first season a stellar 10 and here's a 'bad' rating for the second season, a 4, a "less than mid" score. In many ways this is a 1, but... There's a point to what it does, but how it delivers and moves the story along is disastrous. It rips everything away that was achieved, replacing it with contrived and frustrating drama that comes off as completely unrealistic. Worse, it leaves you feeling distrustful of what's going on because the story goes out of its way to disappoint your expectations and almost becomes predictably pessimistic and negative. It takes a first season of what was a comfortable warmth and replaces it with a mess just to stretch out the inevitable conclusion. This is not a matter of taste, this is poor writing, the…

I wish I could rate it higher, but I just cannot. All the issues with the first season are multiplied in the second. Among the notable ones, the length of the season, bad writing, unnecessary characters, unbearable personalities and worst of all; how badly the show lost its vision. Let’s start with the positives though. The most obvious indicators of low quality work were not present. The issue with the voices was resolved, and it seemed just a little more effort went into the faces and art. Of course some characters still don’t have eyes, but you can’t have it all. And now the long list of negatives. Most notably, how badly the show veered off course. The original feeling of the beginning of season was was just about lost by the end of the first season, and is six feet underground by th…

This "thing" is so bad I don't even know how to explain it. (Small amount of spoiler warning) First off, let's dive into this the school and romance theme is pretty common in anime. The whole high school vibe gives authors an easy way to throw in romantic scenes without much fuss. It's convenient too, no need for some elaborate setup about the main character and pals meeting up. Cool concept, right? Well, that's the theory, but let me tell you how it can all go downhill. So, here's the deal. The first season had a major hiccup, which I'll get to in a bit. Towards the end, though, when they started digging into the side characters Chizu and Ryu, and even Ayane with a different angle, I started to see a glimmer of hope. The first season was your run-of-the-mill romance anime, but towards t…

S1 is still among the best Shoujo anime I’ve seen to date, and S2 at least comes close. Much as it felt like a realistic portrayal of how these characters would behave given this set of circumstances, too much of it was driven by less organic means, which I can’t get into without spoilers. I'm a fan of how they did virtually every other character, though Ryuu in particular was a stand-out to me and his relationship with Chizu was a highlight of the series. Kurumi was shockingly effective as well, with much of her presence in S2 being kept subtle. This season had a lot of great moments, but didn't come together as well narratively as the first. Still among my favorite romances and, despite not getting as much time as I was hoping for, it wrapped up just about perfectly all things considered…

Second season of this mid ass melodrama proved to be tenfold worse than the slow ass first season. How come 12 episodes were more excruciating to sit through than the first seasons 25?? Jesus christ man. This is worse than any soap opera ive ever seen. Main female has profound mental retardation. She takes over 8 episodes to realize ‘if i use my words to communicate then people will know what im thinking and feeling’. Well thanks for coming to this conclusion which most people make as toddlers. Main couple has no chemistry. By the end of the series I was rooting for Kurumi to seduce Kazehaya magically. But that would mean Kazehaya fails his only objective in this show - have feelings for Sawako. Kazehaya has no personality trait except popular guy who likes Sawako. He has no dreams, no h…

##This review should be taken as a review of the work as a whole, including the first season## It's been a while since I've seen an out-and-out romance story that feels as expertly, intricately pieced together as this one. From the start, 'Kimi Ni Todoke' presented itself with confidence, and competence, and complexity. It's a story which balances a decent amount of themes, a respectable amount of characters, and pieces them together with a generally strong pace and consistent tone. Certainly, this is a character-driven story, and it benefits strongly from the reality that its cast is incredibly well characterised. Everyone is well-defined, both in terms of personality and design, with distinct, unique strengths, flaws, and perspectives, with all of these playing off each other perfectl…

English. It is noted that the quality of the animation increased even if only a little, even so they also lengthen the main plot too much, which is the romance between our two protagonists, from the beginning they made a conflict with two characters to further lengthen the plot (one of them its existence is only to create love conflict for the protagonist), it really extends what we all want to see (the confession) unnecessarily, they could have done it in only 4 episodes and it would have been good (besides, it would no longer be necessary to put another type to lengthen the season), although the season fulfills its mission, I think they could have made it shorter or even in some other case release a movie instead of this season. It's worth it only if you want to see how this love story e…

not the worst, but definitely not the best. all i can say is don’t start the second season with high hopes. i finished watching the first season and thought it was pretty good, just a typical romance anime with not much drama. however, the second season was very disappointing and a missed opportunity for the writer. I think most of the drama was forced and made no sense, which made watching extremely frustrating and i fought back the urge to drop it on the first couple of episodes. the only thing that kept me watching was the character development (which was very slow) and the “side characters” that had a much more interesting and realistic story than the mc. by the time everything works out for the characters you’re already so frustrated that it doesn’t even make you feel anything it ju…

I'm only giving this an 8 because they complicated a tiny misunderstanding SO MUCH and then actually managed to resolve it. Somehow. So my rating is purely technical. The story isn't anything special, I get it's one of the classics that basically set the tropes in stone. Can't say much more. 6/10 The artstyle isn't bad, with some exceptions that were REALLY janky (some of those artistic stillframes looked preetty bad...), I liked that they didn't go full shojo, but stayed somewhere between. 7/10 Characters are again, clearly the base for all highschool romance tropes after 2010. I'm glad to see where newer shows pull from and manage to make better, it's a good base to branch off of. Komi-san would clearly be a great example of how you can use these tropes and refine them. Shy girl, but…
