“Did you really think a mere mortal could cheat on me?”
Sylphie gazed down at Rudeus, her eyes radiating the boundless wisdom of the Heavenly Emotional Realm.
“Foolish husband. What you call infidelity is merely an illusion born of your attachment to worldly conventions.”
Rudeus trembled.
“Could it be… you've comprehended the Supreme Path of Unconditional Acceptance?!” “Indeed. Jealousy, resentment, and sorrow are nothing but impurities of the mortal heart.”
Rudeus fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face.
“Impossible! You've attained the legendary realm of the Primordial Heavenly Sage of Infinite Love and Boundless Compassion, who embraces all beings equally and unconditionally!”
Sylphie shook her head gently.
“Even the greatest sages remain bound by the concept of forgive…

Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Season 2 Part 2 shows more about Rudeus' relationship with Sylphiette, concluding the Ranoa University of Magic arc with the returning of characters like Norn and Aisha (his younger sisters) and those who are on Begaritt. Our main character was enjoying his life when Geese Nukadia sent him a letter from the continent informing about the trouble that Paul and company got into while trying to rescue Zenith. Rudeus, disobeying Hitogami's advices, plans to go to the local despite being worried about the long distance, however, Nanahoshi helps him by revealing an easier way to get there.
This final cour had some of the best moments of this isekai, however, it paradoxically turned into the most disappointing entry for me. Why? Read my review for more.…

This is why people watch anime fantasy to live the life they could never have:
Owning real estate? exercising every morning? Having fulfilling hobbies? A family that loves you? Eating good meals everyday? As if.
Thank you Mushoku Tensei for letting me dream.
This part starts off slow, with a very wholesome arc and ends with the mushoku tensei action and adventure you were probably expecting, a classic dungeon crawl. So instead of contemplating your life choices and if you will ever be happy, don't worry! You can forget all that once the action and adventure starts again in the later half of this part!

What a controversial series...
Yes Mushoku Tensei's ethics are screwed up. Cheating, perverted mental state of the MC and the moral unrighteousness of having two wives especially when one is on a verge of pregnancy. Indeed, these actions must be criticized and rightfully blamed and even hated, disgusted by the watchers.
If the story took place in "OUR" world. Yes I am talking about Earth. The world where the main character was killed by a truck.
Please try and remember what this story is about: It's about our MC recovering from his PTSD like life in his previous world.
The show is trying to show the flaws of mankind, humanity itself. It's not an isekai story about the MC being the strongest in the world and easily defeating every single enemy within seconds.
The world where Mushuko Te…

A pure pdf changing into a normal person at unbelievably slow speed can't be called a well written show, fans are brainwashed as hell
The story is average, take out the animation and it's just a mid story, the novel especially is more horrendous.
I ain't falling for a self insert fetish story with common Isekai story.
Fans says it's realistic, but when pointing out the flaws of the character, they say it's just fictional.
MT fans don't even know why they like the show, they don't even know that they are watching only for the pdf stuffs
MT fans have reading comprehension.
Only people who will fall for the oldest trick in the book will like it

Just binge-watched and caught up with the ongoing season in just 5 days. And even with all the controversial things, it really felt like a 10/10 masterpiece. Like, it's even rivaling One Piece for my no. 1 spot rn. 😭
For years, I remember seeing people recommending it as a joke (like recommending bokunopico), so I always thought it was like some hntai or some sht😭. But man, was I wrong.
Saw a cool edit and knew a new season was airing. So I started watching, ready to drop it, but there was never a bad or boring episode. All of them were so good I just wanted to see more and more. Like man, it's been ages since I wanted to continue a show like that after watching 4,300+ anime episodes and getting numb.
Fuuuh, maybe it's because I binge-watched it, or because the author having next to no…

I'm not exactly sure where to begin, but what I will say is this is the best part of Mushoku Tensei in my opinion.
Art Style - 9
Character Designs - 9.5
Fantasy/Magic/World - 8.5
Animation - 8.5
Music - 8
Pacing - 9
Characters - 6
Story - 7 Comedy - 6
Ecchi/Harem - 1
Enjoyment - 6.5
Starting with the negatives because it wouldn't me a Mushoku Tensei discussion if there wasn't something to dislike about it unfortunately. I said it in my previous review but I really don't like harem/poly relationships. I knew it was coming but that didn't make it any better once it finally happened.
And where do I even begin with Roxy, she deserved so much better. Going from a character I genuinely liked early on to nothing more than a poorly written addition to Rudeus' harem. Again I've said it before b…

Mushoku Tensei doesn't have a season that doesn't have atleast a singular moment where you go 'What the fuck man, that's not it.' This season is no exception. While I have mostly positive thoughts on the direction this season took and the character work it accomplishes, towards the end I was conflicted on the quality of the same.
This season started slow, dealing with more magic school shenanigans and more slice of life moments with Rudeus, Sylphie and the others of the magic school. Even side characters got to have some depth to their characters. Sure, they fit into one archetype or another but they were fleshed out well. Character interactions are great too, with lore drops, exposition and character development meshing well with casual conversation. I like the easygoing dynamics of the…

I liked it more, but I have some doubts... I'm writing about the entire second season.
It feels like Rudeus is following a predetermined path. As if fate has decreed it—he's happy here, and suffering there. The narrative's mood fluctuates along some kind of sine wave. It all starts in the village, where everything is joyful, happy, and good, then, bam, a great catastrophe, everyone is scattered, Eris abandoned him (a genius move, damn it), a depressed Rudeus tries to forget by going in search of his mother, and along the way he meets a group of adventurers, something is brewing with Sara, but then, bam, he nearly kills himself, and so do we. Then he goes to Ranoa, where the dark tone of events changes to a positive life at the magic academy. There's Sylphy as Fitz, there are his friends,…

The animation is noticeably better than part1, especially during the action sequences. epi 22 was fucking phenomenal. there’s a specific way they animate the characters during those scenes that gives the whole show a unique personality.
one of the highlights of part2 is rudy’s relationship with norn. their dynamic felt real, never forced or over dramatic to me. And, it leads to one of the most emotional moments of the entire season when rudy reaches out to her. That scene hits hard.
also the way they try to explore rudy’s dilemma, choosing between staying home or going on the mission to help paul save his mother zenith, is also handled really well.
but then… the last two eps happen and they are rough. It genuinely feels like the writers introduced a sensitive topic and then wrapped it u…

fuck the ending
polygamy seriously fucking scumbag
"Is the story unique? If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up?" the ending was certaintly not predictable only someone sick in the mind can write ts shit
"Do you think the art style is fitting for the story?" yh only good point
"Were the characters well-rounded? Did they have flaws and strengths, or were they unusually strong/smart/stupid?" rudeus is fucking scambag piece of shit "Did the characters react to situations and events in a realistic way?" ABSOLUTELY NOT
"Do you think others will enjoy/dislike this series, even if you didn't? Why?" idk i'm arab but still against polygamy

“Best way to cope with loss? Betray your wife and bang your teacher."
That one s2 ep proves mc's still the same horny reincarnated creep.
They had one job: make Paul’s death hit hard and let the audience sit with it. Instead, what do we get? Rudeus can’t even keep it in his pants for 24 hours. Dude literally buries his dad and immediately goes, “time to smash the teacher.” Pathetic.
If anything, this episode proves this show can’t escape its own degeneracy. The second things get heavy, it dives straight back into smut like a junkie who can’t quit. And the worst part? Some fans actually defend it like it’s “deep.” No... it’s horny trash dressed up as fantasy
Decent world building and plot by these qualities gets subverted by the mc's degenerate pdf personality who gets aroused by jus…

This review will encompass both cours of S2.
This season is definitely worse than the previous one. Animation isn't as neat and direction is more generic (with just few exceptions). Character writing, which was the strongest aspect of S1, took a dive. The worldbuilding, which was already shallow, is now stretched so thin you can see behind it, breaking the immersion.
Let's take a look.
In terms of production, the show feels cheaper now. It is still above seasonal average, but it lacks the lush animation of the first season. It feels overall less dynamic, with the exception of a handful of scenes (the duel after the wedding, the last combat in the labyrinth).
Story-wise, the worldbuilding starts to show the first cracks. It was evident already in S1, as I wrote in my other review, but…

This show is good BECAUSE the main character is a piece of shit.
I have seen a lot of controversial commentary on this show starting with season 1 all the way up until now and understandably so. From my perspective however there is a crucial disconnect between the viewers of the show and the message that is attempting to be portrayed. Rudeus is reincarnated in season one after living his life as a disgusting degenerate. Now that he is in a new world he retains all of his prior memories and his character is still the same as he was but he has been giving a fresh chance to try to live a better life. Rudeus throughout the narrative consistently looks back on how he was before reincarnation and it is EXTREMELY clear that he doesnt think that he is perfect in any sort of way. He is SUPPOSED t…

Seriously, it's a miracle I didn't go lower in the ratings, because this season was a terrible disappointment.
And yet we have some of the best moments of the anime, I'm thinking of episode 10 which is just a work of art in its own right, bringing a perfect conclusion to a great character and perfectly handling the shock and drama of the situation.
But alongside such marvels you have absolutely cataclysmic ideas, like seriously, this story around Rouxy is neither done nor done. Of course I saw it coming because it's not subtlety that suffocates the anime, but it's absolutely badly done, whether it's the moment of “adultery” that arrives with a completely farted-out justification, the resolution of the problem that's lunar and the ease with which everyone accepts the situation as if not…

Quite the masterclass in storytelling if i do say so myself . I was about to have my first complaint with the animation being lackluster and all, until the later episodes hit . Such a steady story ... Something rarely seen in most media today , not just anime. So many overcomplicated snoozefests and all. And even if the story isn't anything groundbreaking, it's still top notch due to it's pacing and all that. And there's still plenty of uncovered mistery . Maybe i am biased myself, but i just can't give any credit to the negative complaints this anime recieves, since they are especially biased. Especially about the harem route. I am honestlly torn about it myself. I don't see it as a pervert's wish or anything. I see it as an overly idealistic and selfish solution. But never as a morally b…

It surprised me, I was shocked by the quality.
Mushoku Tensei II surprised me with its direction because each episode caught me in a way I didn't imagine. I usually have a problem with animes that I've already read/read the manga because since I already know the story I'm not surprised by the story, but that wasn't the case this time. I feel like the fact that the work is following the direction of the light novel and not the manga was what surprised me because the manga isn't keeping up with the anime (especially with the third season on the way).
Overall, this second season has good sound quality (except for the opening, that one is boring), excellent animation and an engaging story. This was the first Isekai in which I saw that the protagonist, despite being very strong, is not invinc…

This season wasn’t as well-animated as the previous one, but it hit a spot in my brain I didn’t know existed. The characters have enough depth for you to see them as actual people who could exist in the real world, which makes you care when things happen—both good and bad. While the characters’ decisions and values are often shunned by many viewers, it’s undeniable that the sense of realism Mushoku Tensei portrays is immense (at least for those familiar with the medium).
What I find most interesting about this part, in particular, is how it explores what it truly means to be reborn with your previous life’s memories, as well as how we define human identity. Some might say that since the main character possesses memories of a past life, it means he’s still the same person. But I’m not so s…

While the first part of season 2 was overall a pretty good adaptation of the story, it tended to skim or outright skip many moments of volumes 7, 8 and 9 (the adapted volumes). While this was a detriment, the important beats were kept and masterfully adapted to the screen.
That can't be said for the second cour. The sheer amount of important scenes skipped and/or poorly adapted, specially during the second half of the story. The one episode I consider to be on par with season 1 in terms of direction and adaptation is episode 5 (Norn's episode), the rest are either lackluster or downright bad. It is highly advisable to read the Light Novel if you're a fan of the story up until this point.
