I think its theme is more like iyashikei (healing/refreshing) but the list said historical. Tbh there's nothing here resembles that except for the outfit. If you're looking for refreshing anime without plot at all, this anime is for you. Think of it like non non biyori or any other slow life refreshing anime.
But for me who already watched gintama, spyxfamily, hamefura, and other comedy historical anime which was really funny, I can't give a high score to this anime. I personally prefer a type of comedy that has plot like spyxfamily or a type that has real funny punchline like asobi asobase. This anime has neither of those.
So am I recommend it? Depend on your taste. Do you like watching "iyashikei" themed anime?

A family-friendly anime to share with anyone.
Cinderella-style stories are pretty played out by now, so it’s refreshing when someone manages to squeeze some juice out of that dried-up lemon. The only thing this anime shares with Cinderella is the presence of a stepmother. You can't even really call the girls "stepsisters," since they are actually half-sisters. Obviously, the story leans heavily into the fantasy of a poor girl entering a wealthy family and improving her quality of life. Even so, the anime focuses on the magic of family. Miya, the protagonist, is an absolute sweetheart; despite her delicate, noble appearance, she possesses great strength of will. She gradually wins your heart, just as she does with her new family. How should I put it, huh? But that’s reality for you. I am still puzzled why romance is apparently necessary to appeal to that demographic, regardless of whether the story is formulaic or unorthodox. To be fair, “Ibitte Konai Gibo to Gishi”, or “My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked,” is a web manga so it doesn’t have any specific demographic label, but at least many Japanese bookstores categorize it as shoujo. So unfortunately, some of the people who enjoy similar niches were apparently misled by the title, which essentially describes it as “Cinderella (or in Indonesia: Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih, except her stepfamily will always spoil her rotten,” suggesting the story ended…
