Naruto Shippuden the Movie 6: Road to Ninja

Naruto Shippuden the Movie 6: Road to Ninja

Introduction

Returning home to Konohagakure, the young ninja celebrate defeating a group of supposed Akatsuki members. Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno, however, feel differently. Naruto is jealous of his comrades' congratulatory families, wishing for the presence of his own parents. Sakura, on the other hand, is angry at her embarrassing parents, and wishes for no parents at all. The two clash over their opposing ideals, but are faced with a more pressing matter when the masked Madara Uchiha suddenly appears and transports them to an alternate world. In this world, Sakura's parents are considered heroes—for they gave their lives to protect Konohagakure from the Nine-Tailed Fox attack 10 years ago. Consequently, Naruto's parents, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, are alive and well. Unable to return home or find the masked Madara, Naruto and Sakura stay in this new world and enjoy the changes they have always longed for. All seems well for the two ninja, until an unexpected threat emerges that pushes Naruto and Sakura to not only fight for the Konohagakure of the alternate world, but also to find a way back to their own. This is, without a doubt, one of the best (if not the best) Naruto movies. Naruto Shippuden the Movie: Road to Ninja manages to do something that many fans have always imagined, but never had the opportunity to see in such depth: explore the classic question "what if?". And, in this case, one of the most painful and intriguing questions in the entire series, "what if Naruto had grown up alongside his parents?". The film delves directly into one of the most striking aspects of Naruto Uzumaki's life: loneliness. From the beginning of the series, this emotional void is one of the forces that shape who he becomes. Here, this absence is contrasted with an alternate reality where Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki are alive, and this completely changes the emotional weight of the story. At t…

The Naruto What If Story Naruto the road to ninja, is such a lovely piece of fanservice. That hits on the feelings of the show, and give us an alternative look at the characters We enjoy. It has a nice balance of the comedic and the serious. Friends and teachers that have got their personality twisted to something opposite. it is so fun to watch if you enjoyed the characters from The Show, to see them in this light, It is absolute hilarious. But it's also shows a side of Naruto that we know too well, but truly put him in a dilemma of feelings. it's so sad and heartwarming at the same time. The animation is the normal movie stuff where it feels just a bit above the normal TV show. but to be fair, some Naruto episodes looks amazing and this mostly keeps up. It has the same good naruto so…

Every bit of good that was in this film was squandered and/or wasted potential. It brings in interesting concepts but doesn't do shit with them as we instead follow one of the worst plotlines yet in these movies. The concept of an alternate universe where everyone is more carefree and goofy is interesting, I would've liked to seen more of these different versions from our cast...BUT, instead of doing that, this is a movie in which Naruto grows to respect what his parents have done for him????? Like do I even need to explain how absolutely fucking stupid and out of character this is? At first I though it's because the movie took place before the pain arc, but NO we get a flash back to Naruto meeting Minato in the big sparkly soul room so this HAS to take place afterwards. Did he just...fo…

This is going to sound pathetic but I cried at this movie. It's strange because watching the original show, you know the common story (Naruto, no parents, rejected by everyone, all that stuff) but I think this movie was the first time you really see how much it affects him and how much Sakura takes for granted. When watching, you really see how much Naruto would have been loved by his parents and it makes it all the more bittersweet. It also explains that one very random episode in Naruto Shippuden of a "different Sakura" from another world coming in, so kind of glad that clarified it.

They did it. They finally fucking did it. This is a real, actual movie with real, actual stakes for the characters and without a fucking escort mission. It's not even half bad! The theme they picked (Yes! A real, actual theme!) was the dangers of taking our relationships for granted. I don't relate to it super well, because my parents were awful, but I liked the direction for Naruto. The scenes with his folks were excellent. The bits they allowed Sakura to have with her parents were nice, too. Sakura gets the short end of the stick, as expected. Despite participating in the isekai plot as much as Naruto, it felt like she had far fewer scenes. That was a shame because it didn't have her engage much with the loneliness without her parents that we would expect to see. But it was there. I wo…

This is personally my favorite movie at this moment, if you're looking for amazing story line, amazing characters, and just overall a good movie Road To Ninja has you. I personally love this movie very much and loved how they switched some of the looks of the characters and personality, overall it's just a really good movie. I really think Hinata in this movie is amazing, clap on that lol. Outstanding characters if I didn't mention it already, will be my favorite movie for awhile really enjoyable. I love how Ino is really switched. My favorite character in this movie is Hinata major difference there. Also Kushina and Minato are alive in this move!! :)

This was surprisingly good. After the dumpster fire that was Naruto Shippuden: Bonds, I skipped the next two movies, but after seeing a couple clips from this movie, I decided to give it a shot. It's definitely not amazing, but considering the track record of these movies, it's a huge step in the right direction. A huge difference between this and all the previous movies is that it actually feels like a movie rather than three or four episodes of the show strung together. It actually has narrative weight and crafts an interesting story that's actually kind of engaging. It also tries to have some thematic weight as well, but it gets lost very quickly. For what it was worth, the whole mirror world concept was done pretty well for the little that was shown of the other characters and Naruto a…

I really liked the movie. It had it's goods and bads, At the first 30 minutes I thought it was going to be like another dull movie. But it turned out it was better than expected. The fact that everyone had to switch personalities and we got to see some moments of "Menma" and his parents was great ( Also the moment where Akatsuki helped was epic). Now the bads I think the villain wasn't that good another fake naruto. I expected more of a new character than him but overall I think the movie was good and you got to watch it.

Holy fanservice on a sandwhich! In a world where all Naruto characters have opposite personalities! And that's mostly it! >=D Naruto & Sakura go on a sad-date and get Tsukuyomi'd by Obito for giggles. They're both dreaming about this reverse-world where they goof around for a bit. Then a mysterious bad guy pops up, Naruto fights him with the power of friendship, and then they leave and the movie ends. There's some things going on like: well, goofing around with reverse characters. Seeing akatsuki members fighting, albeit -very- poorly. There's a few good animated scenes, but they're few and far between. The final fight is barely okay. The story makes no sense, and the premise doesn't either - if you think about it for longer than a few seconds, you'll fall in an endless hole. You get…

This is the ninth Naruto movie, made around the time when the Ninja War began. The main idea behind the plot is interesting, as Naruto and Sakura are sent to an alternative dimension where there is no war. That is supposed to show what Madara plans to do if he plan succeeds and thus excuse his satanic plans. Sadly this is still a kids’ show, thus the whole thing ends up being nothing more than a badly written fanfic. I mean, really, you are watching this just because you are aware of how one-dimensional everybody is and want to laugh with a “what if” anecdote. You are presented with an alternative dimension where everyone is supposed to act differently and all you get is them acting in the exact opposite way than they do in the normal world. Hell, they don’t even wear different clothes. D…

This is the ideal Naruto story that Studio Pierrot wanted us to show. So they made a movie. To promote the movie they even dedicated an entire episode from the Naruto Shippuden to it. The episode was better than the entire movie. The only good moments in the movie were Naruto reuniting with his parents, and the Akatsuki as a hero faction. Other than that the story was mediocre. The worst thing to hope in this movie which takes place in an alternate realm, thanks to Tobi, is Sakura's father being the 4th hokage, Sakura living the solitary life of Naruto, Shikamaru acting as a stupid idiot, Sasuke becoming a casanova and so much more. And also an alter-ego of Naruto called Menma!!!! Neji actig like a total pervert. So many minus points to talk about in this film. The only good parts are the…

Road to Ninja is simultaneously the best Naruto movie I've seen to date, and the ultimate fanfiction. While I struggle time after time to feel engaged by forgettable, one-off movie characters, even the slow parts of this one involved people that I care about faced with challenges deeper than a new, scary bad guy that must be defeated within the next two hours. While it's nothing technically impressive, Naruto: Road to Ninja distinguishes itself from other movies in the franchise by telling an emotionally charged story about its main characters. The production is honestly the most underwhelming part of this movie. The animation doesn't look that much better than a regular episode, ranging from poor to average. By contrast, the battle with Pain from the series makes this look boring... Visu…

I believe this is probably the best Naruto movie and it shows something every other movie lacks. It has everything from good battles, interesting characters, important problems, comedy and great music and art. The review is spolier free :) Read my full review here - https://wolf48blog.wordpress.com/2017/10/02/naruto-shippuuden-road-to-ninja-movie-review/ For general idea and summary of the review read the overall part, I hope it is helpful :) Story The story behind Road to Ninja is inspired by the Infinite Tsukuyomi - the technique that Madara uses in the original series to create the "perfect world". The goal of the technique is to trap every human being in an endless dream, where their biggest desires come true and they can live in a perfect, pain-free world. The storyline is rea…

This one is probably my favorite Naruto movie. I've noticed a pattern lately that the Naruto movies tend to center on good ideas... It's just the build-up to those ideas-- or all the surrounding story, really-- tends to be weak. For example, this movie commits one of my anime movie pet peeves where they effectively write the movie out of ever possibly being considered some canon event that could have happened off-screen, basically ending the plot-important bits by saying, 'You know that crazy thing that just happened? We're gonna not tell anyone... Basically pretend it didn't, if we can't find a good way to explain it. 'Cause, you know... village security and all.' However! I did preface this by saying it was my favorite Naruto movie, and I plan to make good on that statement. Let's star…

I am a big fan of Naruto. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm not oblivious to its faults or enraged by its haters; I'd even consider myself a "hardcore fangirl". Now, with that said, I had low expectations for this movie. Most Naruto movies have humungous plotholes and seriously out of character shenanigans. Fortunately, this move exceeded those expectations. In fact, there was actually character development in this one AND a moral lesson! The story line had surprisingly minor gaps and the characters were either in character or purposefully out of character for obvious reasons. The art and sound is average and the enjoyment level was somewhere above average. Overall, "Road to Ninja" was a high 8. I say, give this a chance. It's definitely above a 5(and probably above a 6). This is very…

This is one of the more entertaining naruto movies out there. It`s my third favorite under the Last Naruto Movie and Boruto. It contains the same characters throughout the series but puts a twist on things. Story: I can`t give explain much on this without spoiling things on the movie but I will say that it is very interesting and cool to see what happens. If you enjoyed the series at all you are definitely gonna like this. Art and sound: I didnt really notice anything different from the anime so stilllooks pretty good but nothing groundbreaking. The sound is pertty much the same as the series as well, so not much for this. Character: Again i cant say too much without spoiling the story but I will say that it`s fun to see what they do to the characters in this movie. Overall: Overall…

**THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS** From what I am able to see this movie has been rated to be the second best Naruto movie with its score but I can say that this is far from the truth. Story: (4/10) The story of Naruto: Shippuuden Movie 6 - Road to Ninja begins with a retelling of Minato and the Kyuubi. It then skips to the present with Naruto and his team fighting the revived versions of the Akatsuki and after the Akatsuki retreat Naruto and Sakura meet Tobi (Obito) who then sends them into a different world were everyone has the opposite personalities and now Naruto and Sakura must find a way to get back to their own world. I found many problems with this story. One of them would be how all the characters from Konoha in the beginning of the movie all act like dicks to Naruto f…

You know I just reviewed the last Naruto movie a few hours ago and I thought I wasn't going to review this movie until a few days later. However, I can't do it. The issues with this movie need to be addressed and I'm going to do it now. Now let me by fair by saying that the plot actually had something going for it and although it wasn't executed that well it also wasn't executed terribly. Naruto and Sakura get transported to an alternate universe created by Tobi where everything is the opposite of what it was, Naruto's parents are alive while Sakura's are dead (I'll get to that later). They fight the main villain (which was actually a pretty good twist in my opinion) and get back home. The story itself was kind of good. I think the best part about this movie was truly understanding how l…

Content (plot/characters): The story was conceived by Kishimoto himself so I thought it was definitely worth watching. The story takes place in a "genjutsu world" and it's kinda like your typical AU. The personalities of the characters are different in this world and so happen to be this world's Naruto and Sakura's family backgrounds. I personally find the plot to be not too interesting but, like everyone else, I enjoyed the scenes with the AU characters and that tiny glimpse of what happiness might have looked like for Naruto. My favourite part will always be that last scene with Iruka. It made me feel all bubbly and sentimental like the first ever Naruto (Part I) episode. "Villainous" plot-wise, it was interesting but just okay. Style (art/sound): Kishimoto personally designed the chara…

Oh my. This movie. Before I continue with review, I want to point out that this review may CONTAIN SPOILERS and is solely my own opinion. It might seems biased because I love Naruto in general but I just want others to know how much this movie impacted me. -Story- Naruto and his comrades fought the Akatsuki members even the ones they have killed before, abruptly, all the members disappeared not long after the fight, leaving Naruto and his comrades in confusion. They went back to the village and every single one of his comrades bragged about their achievement kicking out the akatsuki out of the village to their parents, asking their parents to promote them to a higher ninja level, jounin. Being an orphan, Naruto had no one to talk to as he stood and look around with a sad face. He then me…
