This season isn't very different from the previous one. It just has more fights, the characters get stronger, more characters appear in the story, and there's development in the story and in some characters (how many times did I say the word "character"?). For some reason, the ending of this season gives me a feeling of closure, even though there's still more story to be told and the manga is still being released.
I couldn't avoid spoilers and went to see who the main character ends up with, and I swear I'll be really pissed if he chooses the blond, blue-eyed twink vampire instead of the cute girl with purple hair and an influential family in the army.

I decided to watch Seraph of the End after I read a decent portion of the manga, for reference, I'm at about chapter 110. The first season ends at about chapter 22, and the second ends at about chapter 100... I haven't seen an adaptation this bad since The Promised Neverland season 2!!!
For this to work, they had to cut out a lot of the manga's plot, characters, and back stories. This made the anime shallow, boring, and confusing...
I genuinely thought I was losing it watching this stupid anime, like I was imagining the manga. Based on my memory, they cut Ky Luc, Urd Geales, Sika Madu, and Saitou, 4 very important vampire characters, and I'm sure they cut more than that. These characters are involved in important plots. Lest Karr is at least in the anime, but he's only shown like once or t…

This anime was nothing but incredible in my eyes. When I first started watching season 1, I really didn't know what to expect, how to feel or if I was even going to like it as when I watch an anime, it's always the same: Romance, Comedy, Isekai, Slice of Life, Fantasy and shows that are more laid back and nothing too serious. Seraph of the End was pretty much leaving my comfort zone and to be honest, I'm really glad I decided too.
Each episode of Season 2 was filled with more action than the rest. Unlike season 1, season 2 left little to no down time. It felt like something was always happening. Every single time something got revealed, it felt like such a surprise and revealing what was in the container at the end and the seraph (not spoiling was it was) COMPLETELY caught me off guard an…

I wanna say this anime is pretty ok, nothing spectacular but nothing really bad either. I was wondering how this anime wasn’t so popular when it was airing and how it just slipped under the radar for most people’s watchlist. It’s one of those anime’s where it got hyped for a few months, but later on it became forgotten. The story being set up as a war between humans and vampires, the two main characters introduced in a way that’s very stereotypical, and a little plot twist at the end that I wasn’t the expecting. Overall, I only liked 3 characters in the show. Most of the characters in the show seem either one-dimensional, an asshole, or just straight up annoying. The main two mc’s were tbh, the only reason why I continued watching the show, I absolutely love their dynamic and how they real…

A classic shounen that feels full of so much potential, but all too often feels dramatically underdeveloped. It has plenty of great action scenes, ost is great, some really fun characters (love u, shinoa <3), great animation but the writing quality is very inconsistent. There are some truly fantastic scenes sprinkled throughout, but SO MUCH annoying plot armor or unfulfilling writing! Characters are constantly kept alive just for being main characters. And sometimes major plot points are introduced, and then just...completely ignored for the rest of the show. Pacing towards the end is a complete disaster that makes no sense. I think if it had been given a consistent level of detail and quality, and remove the plot armor crap, this really could've been an amazing show but as it is it's...ok…

The second season delves more into the struggles of having a loved one on the opposite side of war. Mika the second main character adds depth to the story because of his selfishness, fear, and love towards his family. He is willing to sacrifice everything to have the companionship of a loved one. The stakes and losses are higher in the story. But the recklessness and stubbornness of the other main character ruin the story.
Also, the impact of the war only affects the side characters deeply not the main cast. And since there are no heavy burdens on them other than survival and protecting one another making the show shallow, because they have plot armor. The twist at the end was not well executed and we know the main characters will go into danger again because of the protagonist.

I came here from Owari no Seraph season 1, and really wasn't disappointed. I loved all of the anime, and it actually pushed me to read the entirety of the manga (which I plan to follow until it ends).
Though there are some negative reviews, I think that this show really deserves more, including a 3rd season to really HIGHLIGHT the CLIMAX of the action (which the anime hasn't reached!!!) which I feel would really make it a much better anime. There's at least enough material for 2 more seasons now, and just because this anime was not released at a great time (concurrently with a lot of extremely popular animes), doesn't mean that this one shouldn't receive it's fair share of the spotlight.
I truly hope an animation studio like Mappa picks it up to give the 3rd season of this show justice…

Owari no Seraph: Nagoya Kessen-hen
And here, too, little has changed. I honestly found the finale relatively creative in terms of the visually individual flow. But everything along the way, this was a purely generic fantasy/action anime with no real highlights or standouts. Even though I honestly found the rampage of Mikaele relatively interesting. In a better anime series, that scene could have really shined. But yet again, I found the scene really refreshing and appealing.
[Story 4]
The events of the first season continue, of course with the same deep-seated low quality. And no, that doesn't mean the animation.
The author still tried to pick up so many different concepts and couldn't do any of them justice, making the story feel like a mediocre action game from 2001. Including all…

Overall, this anime was pretty bland and lacked that spark of excitement you would want from some fantasy story.
(Spoilers from season 1 + 2)
The plot mixes unnatural creatures and the modern world into one (which was strange because the idea of seeing lambos and helicopters in a story about vampires and demons seems very odd to me).
As for the characters, I rated them a 4. In season one, we see the change Yuu had once he understands that teamwork is necessary and he can’t fight alone, in this season, there is absolutely no change in development in him. All that’s new is that he has some scary god form who could defeat an Angel with salt.
None of the characters change throughout the series, they are just side characters who added no value to the plot. Kimizuki and Yoichi who’d you expe…

*Spoiler warning!*
Story/Plot 7/10 - The plot was focused around the battle of Nagoya arc. It was a giant fight that got built up in the first couple of episodes of this "season". Uh, not much to say. It was good, but I feel like last "season" was way more put together, and overall was just more exciting and enjoyable. I also feel like their were certain characters we didn't see much of this season, and also, I'm still kind of mad about what happened to Guren.
Art/Animation 7/10 - Both art and animation are the same as last season I think. So as I said last time, "I feel like this art-style was very popular around 2015 - 2017, so I wouldn't really say it's anything special. The animation was also good, but again, it wasn't anything spectacular. Typical for the time if I'm honest, I stil…

Just as great as the first season overall. It still has issues, but I'm too much of a fan of this franchise to be bothered by them too much.
Once again it's follows the manga fairly closely while extending certain scenes to add depth to the story and intensity to the action. However, the ending to the last episode breaks continuity with the manga by a little bit, which can be easily retconned in a potential third season. But I think that goes to show that there wasn't really a third season being planned in the first place, which is sad and hopefully I'm wrong about that.
The animation is once again great. I noticed that the issue I had with the obvious CG character models in the background of some scenes was less noticeable this time around which is great. The backgrounds still look fant…

Seraph Of The End: Battle Of Nagoya is the subsequent war arc in the war between humans and vampires. Some of my critques of the first season transfer over here.
The story isn't all over the place as much as it is fragmented. Granted it's a war arc but in all honesty it follows your usual isekai formula. Main group faces enemy, main group gets stomped on, protagonist does some risky training/technique to get a power up, main group manages to survive another day. I'm not saying it's a bad plot, I'm just saying it's nothing ground breaking. Also they add even more new characters that unlike the original cast, the new characters are mostly forgettable.
What this season does really well is again world building and using the anime's foundation to help set up in my opinion some pretty cool plo…

I don't get why this series gets so much flak.. Yea the troupes are kind of intense (Literally only like 2 or 3 troupes in this one though) but i feel like every anime has done that since the dawn of time.. I feel like this one was handled really well.. I lost all focus on judging it critically near the middle.. Thats how much fun i was having..
Thinking back it was sort of generic, But i think the characters make the story more than anything.. In almost every anime. In this one it was the opening. That first episode reeled me in and i'll be anxious for the next season..
I gave this a 9, which is alot higher than most i'd rate.. Thats as much as some of the best shonen and so on.. I thought it had a layer of philosophy under it all.. Humans, beasts.. It doesnt really matter in the end. A…

Okay, to put it simply, this anime has the same theme as Shingeki no Kyojin / Attack on Titan. Just the downgraded version of it. But certainly, Owari no Seraph has its own charm.
Story: 6
As i said, if you already watch SnK, then you probably know pretty much the story of Owari no Seraph. But Owari no Seraph's story is little bit weaker than SnK but still pretty enjoyable and interesting.
Art: 7
The art was pretty good even though SnK is much better than this. They even made by the same studio, Wit Studio. The action sequences was also pretty good and well drawn.
Sound: 8
The OP and ED of the first season was pretty generic. But in S2, the OP is much better than the first one. The ED was also pretty good.
Character: 7
The MC was pretty annoying at first. Just like the SnK, but the ch…

Fights, fights, and more fights that we wanted in Season 1.
I am so glad that we are finally in the open about what is actually going on with the knowledge they gave us from this season. At one point, I thought the story might make a Romeo and Juliet situation with Yu and Mika, but I am glad it didn't turn out the way I thought it would.
I also got my favorite character development scenes, too, although a few seemed really unnecessary.
As per how the second seasons of animes go, it ended with a stupid cliffhanger as usual and as of now there's still no mention of another season. Well, at least we have the manga.
Now, all I need to decide is whether I want to wait for it a little bit more, or just give into the temptation and just read up lol

this is my first time giving a review, this anime was my first vampire anime after this anime i have became addicted to them, the story is great with a lots of actions and fantasy. the anime is perfect but the ending was not complete the way this season ends is just not satisfying, this makes a hope for season 3 without season 3 this anime seems incomplete. but other then that the anime is really amazing and worth a watch.
this anime was my second anime that i watched and enjoyed, the story is perfect i cant believe i watched the whole story 4-5 times it was really enjoyable

Okay, so... not the killer sequel series I was hoping for. Just so y'all know before you watch this, the season does end as though it's going to have a third season when, in fact, it doesn't. So, that's a bit annoying.
Starting off with the art. I'm still in love with it. The character designs are done so well, the effects are awesome, and the landscapes look great. The sound, again, wasn't up my alley when it came to the OP and ED songs. The background music, though, was bomb. Anytime something epic was supposed to happen, a track would kick in that would just make the scene 100xs better.
The characters... Listen. Every character is very interesting to me. Their relationships with each other, especially, were written very nicely. It made for some heartwarming scenes that I enjoyed a lot…

Firts, this is not the best anime like the most of the shonen's. It has a different story than another storys of vampires and inusual condiments. You can follow an apocalypsis with vamppires and humans into war and even demoniac possesions with drama and touches of comedy.
The good thing here is that you can enjoy the plot and the story line pace even if you don't capture the meaning of each stuff from the manga, by the way, there are some changes from the manga in the animation. I guess all this was because of the fan-service, in fact , I believe that the relationship between the two principal characteres is "canon" even so, they don't showed that there is here anything more than an closely "friendship" or "family relationship"- Actually, that was one of the problems in the construction…

This season doesn't even come close in terms of overall enjoyment to the first season. The storyline was chaotic and disorganized, it seemed to jump back and forth throughout the season - never settling down. The plot wasn't complex - it just didn't follow logic nor did it make much sense. I guess you could call it unique but not necessarily in a positive way.
The art was consistent with the kind found in the first season - industry standard and well-made, though nothing special. The backgrounds fit in well, accentuating rather than deterring from the scenes they were home to. The character designs were unique and none of the characters looked similar to one another. The artists didn't skimp out on this one - they made every character look distinct.
The characters were even less well-rou…
