Where do I start?... Let's see... It's not a bad anime, all things considered. In short, it's a classic rom-com; in this case, both protagonists have family issues (as you know, sometimes one side deals with everyday problems while the other is an emotional wreck), but here, both parties face different kinds of hardships. The downside is that this aspect isn't very well developed—it was just touched upon lightly, as the main focus was entirely on the childhood-friends-to-lovers romance.
I'm not sure if I'd classify it as *ecchi*, since there are very few scenes with that suggestive tone typical of the genre. There are a couple of risqué moments, though nothing too explicit—the plot doesn't really call for that.
The sibling dynamic is among the best I've seen; they have incredible chemist…

A show that works fine as a romance, but demands a season 2. The show has a habit of creating interesting plot threads and failing to properly resolve them.
Progress is nonexistent, and it turns into more of a slice of life with occasional drama.
That said, the characters are grounded with the childhood friend really embodying the role more realistically.
In terms of focus, the show jumps from one place to the next. This is the main reason that nothing ever gets resolved properly. Whilst the end goal should be clear, it gets entangled in a series of 5 minute drama plots that fail to provide anything substantial long term, with lots to keep track of. This results in lots of interesting things drawing you in, but none of it truly mattering in the end.
Honestly, as a standalone show, I…

This anime has so many clichés that I honestly don't even know where to begin...
Childhood friends get separated, only to realize years later that the boy was actually a girl.
How does that even work? Has that ever happened to anyone in real life? How socially inept do you have to be not to notice?
Then there's the little sister who sometimes seems wiser than her older brother.
Honestly, she's the best character in the entire anime.
Unimportant side characters. Completely unnecessary drama scenes. The two main characters are clearly into each other. They're in love. They both know it. But they keep dragging the whole thing out.
At some point, the whole situation becomes unbearably cringe.
Multiple times throughout the anime, I had to pause because of how much secondhand embarrassment I…

Oh boy, I was wrong about the animation.
This show had a nice promising premise and plot but you can’t really enjoy something when everything looks like png simulator. It’s like you can’t enjoy a meal that has a shitty presentation.
I feel that this show would have been amazing if the animation was just good, or not even good but average. The overall plot and character designs are relatively solid, and the comedy is sort of there, but I just can’t with this animation.
Realistically I should have dropped this at episode 7, but I just had hope that it would get better. Overall, this was not a fun watch or entertaining watch.

MAL is nudging me to write something constructive and actually comprehensible, which is a pretty bad sign for me as and my base-floor level of review. Starting from the top again, the concept / title is unique, and the main draw to this story. However, the characters are very flat, and the writing is somewhat on and off with itself. At times, you can visibly see the author's intent when characters have their interactions, which is to say that dialogues can feel a bit inorganic. However, the show continues this trend of what I'd say is unserious writing, so somehow it ends up feeling in character, even if it is jarring at first.
The plot is as shallow as its characters, so don't go hoping for much there. Really, this story relies more on you making fanfic in your head on how and why the ch…

There’s been a growing slideshow epidemic when it comes to romcom anime in that, perhaps in response to the lack of movement, animators end up deemphasizing the animation in these kinds of shows, transforming it from something dynamic to what’s essentially characters talking in a static frame. While I can’t blame the animators to an extent, a slice of life romance such as this doesn’t provide a whole lot to work with visually, this does severely limit the amount of enjoyment a person is able to extract from viewing the show. TenBin is a shining example of the worst that this growing trend has to offer, as it feels determined to stifle all of its potential through its presentation, which affects not only the visuals but also the general pacing of the show.
First and foremost, I do think th…

Oh, brother. OH BOY, was I wrong about this show!
Sorry. I had to do it. 😂
I couldn't take the chance to miss this obvious joke because of how much I like this show, despite the studio behind it.
Anyway, let's start!
How did I find this?
By browsing through the MAL seasonal release list. Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
This story reminded me of some komik on Webtoon Indonesia that I like.
- Bucket List SMA-ku
- Never With You
- Teman Rasa Pacar
and
- Love Next Door
At least the appeal of it.
This is a rom-com story about the MC and his childhood friend.
May I add that the female lead also looked like a boy when they were young.
I'm not joking; those four have this element in their storytelling.
Platform
It's only available on Crunchyroll. (Sadge)
And after a quick search,…

When I was on youtube, I got recommended some clips featuring this show. The clips were about her getting jealous he was talking to other girls while at the same time pretending she doesn't care. I then read the premise, that they were two former friends from the country, and after not seeing themselves for years, they reunite and she's had a glow up. They then are uncertain about their feelings towards one another.
So I thought that the story was going to be about a girl who gets jealous easily, having feelings for a clueless guy that kind of likes her back and we get this push-pull as to who was going to make the first move, or perhaps, he'll date another girl and she'd have to figure out how to get him to notice her. Nothing ground-breaking, but could be funny.
Oh boy was I wrong abo…

The story began pretty good, i had a good feeling about it being a classical romance story.
there where some romantic scenes and the story was clear.
The ending sucked imo, nothing romantic. and in the end it didn't really feel like a romance at all so yeah that kinda sucked.
art style was good ig.
background music was fine aswell.
i really liked the side characters though so thats a plus.
ima rate it a 7 bc its not bad but also not perfect.
maybe this review sucks but this is my opinion and im not an expert at reviewing animes

What did I even watch? I was looking for a simple feel good romance but hardly even got that. The main relationship goes nowhere after the first few episodes despite the main characters obviously liking each other from the start. A bunch of characters are introduced with potentially interesting backstories that barely go anywhere. Despite the “winner” being as predetermined as can be, 3 other love interests get thrown in. Why? I can only assume to artificially create conflict and drama when they inevitably lose to Haruki, and of course because our protagonist is just such a nice guy that all the girls lust after him. On top of that, the side character explored most was Kazuki of all people, the most pointless character, who only exists because what would a boring rom com protagonist be wit…

Hello. This is a hard one, because its all over the place, but I'll try.
Visuals. Meh. Some ok-ish character designs, but it becomes inconsistent as the show progresses. Decent colour palette. Meh (or even worse) animation. All of this excludes the last episode which becomes a crazy mix. It starts with some horrendous 3D something, but it also has gorgeous backdrops. Maybe that happened earlier too, but I wasn't paying attention, because of the sht story.
Audio. Meh sound design. Decent/good OP and ED for this anime, but the rest is meh. VAs did ok-ish.
Editing. Kinda meh. The scenes keep dragging, too much "dead time". The pacing is all over the place, it mainly depends on the author's (scriptwriter) wish to force a narrative or he/she is lacking ideas and its just dragging to fill the t…

WORST ROMANCE OF THE YEAR. Yeah, I mean it. It has a story that feels like an absolute nothingness. Nothingburger. Characters are extremely flat and boring. ANIMATION SUCKS. Both the direction and animation is so, too, very, extremely boring and I'm not even exaggerating. It has likeable character designs but that's it, that is it. It's a complete waste of time that even now I feel like wasting my time typing a review about this "anime". And the only reason I watched it till the end is cause i hate dropping anime series, nothing else. TLDR never ever touch this one. Go watch some other gems. Trust me and thank you.

Such a confusingly empty anime, with a story that has nothing to tell and characters that have barely anything to say. The premise wasn't bad at all, it was definitely something that has potential and easy to make interesting, somehow that didn't end up happening.
There's close to no plot or much interesting happening, Haruki's relationship with her family was barely explored which could've been the only interesting part of the story, Kazuki's character was not bad but that once again only lasted an episode or two. Hayato's adaptation to the city life was fun but the writer decided to pick and choose when to pay attention to this fact. It's like there are breadcrumbs here and there but it definitely doesn't make up a loaf's worth.
The romance part of the anime can be summed up by Haruki…

Every season has it's extremely mid romance that is being held together by a thin plot thread. Oh Boy Was I Wrong About Her chose that spot this season. I equate this to being served with raw unseasoned meat to chew up.
You could fast forward through episodes and you'll be fine. It's just not interesting including the story, the characters, their interactions and whatever situations they have going on in each episodes.
I don't remember the name of girl that's always in the garden though I've religiously sat through all the episodes. They tried an emotional character arc for Haruki and even that fell flat.
Honesty, I'm not even going to pretend this had potential cos it was always going to end like this - the required mid show to fill a slot in every season. Yes, that should be the taglin…

The only part of this show I really enjoyed was Hayato and Haruki's relationship; I loved how their reunion led them to become each other's emotional support while growing more confident in themselves. Sadly, the rest of the series constantly gets in the way of that relationship. The pacing becomes exhausting, with poorly written characters like Kazuki repeatedly being shoehorned into the story despite adding almost nothing. The romance is also dragged down by predictable tropes and clichés, the production is underwhelming, and the finale offers absolutely no payoff at all. It's difficult to recommend when there are so many better romances out there.

This is a very wholesome romance story that has one of the best chemistries between main leads, and one of the best brother-sister relations I have seen in anime/manga community. Shame that is really the only thing making this anime the gem it is.
Animation and music: it's bad, there is no easier way to say it. I really do not know what happened but the animation started solid enough and then just took a nosedive from episode 6 onward. The characters feel stiff and scenes play out like they are from picture drama instead of anime show. Only reason why this anime is not tear down like OPM season 3 was is because it is not that popular. Music is subpar, which is better but not much. There are no notable tracks but when it kicks in certain scenes it does elevate the feeling.
Overall - musi…

This is a fairly average anime that has some interesting ideas but doesn't fully live up to its potential. The animation is rushed and needs improvement but not horrible The pacing and the plot felt inconsistent. The plot starts with an interesting premise but becomes somewhat predictable as it progresses. The storyline has entertaining moments and some enjoyable character interactions, There was also not a lot of romance so this would be better suited for the slice of life genre. The parts about this anime is the cliffhangers at the end of the episode which keeps the watcher intrigued.
Overall, it’s not a bad watch, but it also doesn’t stand out enough to be particularly memorable.
