Touch

Introduction

The story centers around three characters—Uesugi Kazuya, his twin older brother Tatsuya, and Asakura Minami. Kazuya is the darling of his town as he's talented, hardworking, and the ace pitcher for his middle school baseball team. Tatsuya is a hopeless slacker who's been living the life of giving up the spotlight to Kazuya, despite the fact that he may be more gifted than him. Minami is the beautiful childhood girlfriend and for all intents, sister from next door who treats both of them as equals. Society largely assumes Kazuya and Minami will become the perfect couple, including Tatsuya. Yet as time progresses, Tatsuya grows to realize that he's willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of his brother, except at the expense of giving up Minami to Kazuya. And thus the story is told of Tatsuya trying to prove himself over his established younger brother, how it affects the relationship between the three, and both brothers' attempts to make Minami's lifelong dreams come true.

So I came across the mal site for touch many times, and because of the poster I always thought it was a manga and I got it wrong, that happened again, again and again. Now I have finally watched it and I can confidently say that it is by far the author best work, better than cross game, better than mix, better than anything else. I would rank this as the best dramatic sport anime of all time. No overexplaining rules 20 times, no "huh I unlocked this new secret ability and I will demolish everyone", no rushing it on a single year, no not finishing the last year (looking at you ace diamon). It is just perfect, the humour feels so natural, you can actually feel characters think about stuff and develope as persons. It has drama, humour and entertraining matches, you cant ask for much more.…

If you’re thinking you’ll enjoy TOUCH for the sake of nostalgia — then sorry, there’s absolutely nothing nostalgic about this show. In reality, TOUCH is just a stretched-out mess filled with unnecessary drama, emotional manipulation, cheating, lying, and mindless sacrifices — all revolving around a guy who deserved way better. The worst part? The character that completely destroys the entire show is the FMC – Minami. This bitch is the type of character who acts like she doesn’t know anything, while she actually knows everything. And when things go wrong, she’s always blaming Tatsuya – our poor, innocent MC – for everything. She constantly plays with his feelings, gives mixed signals, and the moment you try to enjoy the story, she swoops in with her emotional circus and ruins the whole da…

This anime is ridiculously boring, like to an extent that is incomprehensible. You'd have to be strapped to a chair to watch this plotless disaster of a show with more 2 minute pauses per episode than one piece. The first 26 episodes are apparently the "setting", yet nothing really happens. A confession is made and the anime should end right there, yet it goes on for 80 or so more episodes. I recommend not watching this! People get a ego and admiration for old shows with low member counts, to fill their ego of finding "hidden gem anime." This isn't a hidden gem. This is hidden for a reason, no one wants to watch this.

Touch! is the perfect Sports-Drama anime probably ever. Full of memorable characters, fantastic writing and great (if not typical) hype sports anime moments. I'll start this off with a warning, the majority of the first quarter of the show is Drama, but it's the kind of drama that doesn't seem forced whatsoever. It comes as an organic result of the characters and what drives each of them. It's a very human story about 3 friends and baseball and what it means to each of them. once a certain character enters the baseball field it very quickly becomes 85% about the sport The strengths of Touch!: -Most major characters are written intelligently and only add to the story. Even characters that seem annoying or totally dislikable eventually grow on you and come to be a well rounded part of the…

Touch is a baseball drama with hints of romance sprinkled about, especially in the later part of the story, about the Uesugi twins, Tatsuya and Kazuya. They also have a childhood friend named Minami Asakura. Very early on the show establishes an end goal, to go to the Koushien. The Koushien is a huge stadium where big High School baseball championships are held. I'll say this right now, the first twenty-seven episodes are amazing. This is the first big arc of Touch and it's very strong. The subtle romance between the twins and Minami is great, the show's use of foreshadowing is great, the characters and their interactions with one another is great, and the soundtrack is great. The first OP titled "Touch" keeps you on your feet and gets you excited for each episode. And it's use of bass is…

Touch was an anime that gave me a great experience and slowly I fell in love with the Work is its characters. If you are thinking of watching the anime or reading the manga, here this is a great description of the Touch. With a calm pace and great soundtrack Touch is a very endearing story about growing up and love Throughout history, we have accompanied two brothers in love with the same girl childhood friend Asakura, Minami Beyond a beautiful love story touch introduces us to the sport of baseball without the exaggerations present in sports animes like Prince of Tennis or Captain Tsubasa, A great recommendation for those who enjoy romance and sports and looking for something more human. Just pick up the headset, turn off the lights and enjoy.

Touch is a very endearing story about growing up and love. As I searched for what to watch next, this came across my radar few times but passed it because it was about baseball - a sport which I had no idea about and still understand only basic aspects. Luckily, after watching Slam Dunk I decided I enjoyed sports anime and decided to give this a go. I'm so glad I did because this anime has a special place in my anime experience. Touch uses baseball to tell a bigger story about growing up and love. Synopsis is pretty accurate where Tatsuya takes a back seat to his more accomplished twin brother Kasuya in life and love until that is he can no longer take the back seat and watch Kasuya go for the girl they both cherish since their childhood, Minami. Thus begins Tatsuya's development as an ath…

Notable for being one of Mitsuru Adachi's most famous works, Touch focuses on the bond between Minami and the Uesugi twin brothers who grew up as neighbors and childhood friends with the trio having the desire for the twins to play baseball and make it to Koushien to play in the national high school finals. The twins have different personalities with older brother Tatsuya being the slacker not involved in any school activity and younger brother Kazuya the hard working of the duo and the star pitcher of the school baseball team. The series explores the developments of our three protagonists throughout the three years they are in high school with the characters gradually changing as episodes in the series progress. The first quarter of the series starts off rather slow in its pacing as it s…

Since the birth of the written word, we have been taught that storytelling is most effective through drama. Good triumphing over evil, a mystery solved, a pair of lovers. But there are also stories that choose to convey something a little bit more ordinary– something more human. A story not about the apocalypse, but one focused on a normal person growing up and finding their place in the world. A story where the antagonist is not some cackling lunatic, but a sibling or a friend. What is interesting about something so mundane? Adachi Mitsuru's "Touch" has the answer. Uesugi Tatsuya is a lost soul. He wakes up every day only to be shunned by his family and classmates for not comparing to his younger brother, Kazuya. Kazuya is virtually perfect– an ace pitcher for Meisei's baseball club…

Touch became my favorite anime as soon as the first quarter of the series ended. What stands out in Touch is the outstanding character development, which makes you really like them, specially Tatsuya. The pace of this develpment is really slow, which helps to see a lot of details on their personality. The relationship between him and his two best friends (his brother Katsuya and Minami, their childhood friend) also makes you not want Touch to end. The way they push each other foward and how differently they respond to these incentives plays the most important part of the story. There are ups and downs. There is no denying that the third part (coach sunglasses) is a tad below the rest of the anime. But for a series with 100 episodes this is really good. Baseball parts are well made and…

I'll keep it short since there are already great detailed reviews of this anime. But since Touch is one of the best anime series out there, I had to write and recommend it. The way Touch plays out as well as the characters who are very original and unique makes it a masterpiece. The story is very easy to follow, yet the characters contain so much depth that I was just amazed beyond words. Don't let the old artwork or the fact that it was produced in the 80's deter you from watching it. Once you start it, you better have a lot of time and a comfortable chair because you won't want to stop! I also liked it because it really reminded me of what Japanese high school life was like. The baseball team, strict coaches (not as mean as Kashiwaba lol) the different sports and clubs, athletic meets,…

Animation - 4 Touch has that signature, old school character design. Big hair, pretty natural to exaggerated bodies, and big, blank, stupid eyes. With that said though, I will say that Touch has the most expressionless faces I've ever seen in any show. The face is completely the same whether or not the character is crying, stunned, happy, or angry. From scene to scene, body proportions change from heads being proportionally larger to smaller to natural. The animation is terrible. For eyes that aren't the type that normally catch lots of mistakes or shortcuts regarding the execution of animation, mistakes are very obvious. One easily catches recycled scenes all over the place, be it gymnastics, baseball, or just running to school. Even for this time period, I'm not so sure that this was acc…

In a sentence, this series will touch your heart - this is a hard anime to find, but if you can get your hands on it and don't mind watching anime from another age (the 80s), sit back and enjoy the ride. Slow but very deliberative and excellent character development, packed with foreshadowing and plot twists; some expected, many more not. While it is a "sports-themed" anime, don't let that stop you from picking it up - the near-flawless execution triumphs over what on the surface may seem like a fairly simple plot outline. This is a masterpiece; if you're in the market for a story with characters that you actually want to succeed but also want to be kept guessing whether they will or not, look no further. Touch, and never forget.

I started watching thinking I would only watch a couple of episodes of this sports anime in old fashioned drawing style, but unexpectedly I finished it rather fast and wishing there were even more episodes. The story is slow paced and character development driven, it is all about the relationships between the main characters. Before I knew it I was sympathizing with each one of them, as they all have a lot of depth. I don't care about baseball and have no clue about its rules, but the baseball parts are never boring, on the contrary, they were very exciting to watch and I really got into them. The voice-acting was good and I thought the sugary music suited the anime really well. It was 101 episodes long, yet surprisingly enjoyable from start to end. Hotness: Although the anime is not pa…

I'm sort of surprised there isn't a review for this show already. This is really a great show. It's defenitely a classic. Story The story itself may not sound extremely original, but the way that it develops is excellent. The main focus of the series is the growth of the main character, Tatsuya. His brother, Kazuya, is the ace pitcher of the baseball team and everyone loves him. Both him and his brother like the same girl, Minami. Over the series, Tatsuya tries to make himself a better man for Minami, with a lot of influence from his brother Kazuya. The show has a lot of romance in it, as well as sports, but there is a good balance. Also, the dramatic parts of the story are done so well, but not overdramatized. The first 26 episodes focus on the relationship between the brothers and Minam…
