It was very decent and was pretty much the same as the 2011 version. That doesn't mean that I didn't have a good time rewatching, I loved the OP soundtrack and how they used the same song towards the end of episode 8.
For the Greed Island arc, I find it the most chill and underrated in the series because Gon, besides facing obstacles, enjoys himself in the game by following his father's word. I also found the development of Gon and Killua's nen to be the most enticing; their strength gets better over time. I like to think of my reaction to Gon and Killua improving their skills like Bisky's, she looks like a proud mother sitting over them watching everything LOL.
Overall, it's short, simple, and very enjoyable! BTW I appreciate Gon for teaching me the cheat code to win rock, paper, scris…

A respectable and enjoyable ova for the most part. This ova takes place after the end of the old version of Hunter x Hunter. They skipped some of the parts from the Yorknew city arc and also the pacing was a bit worse in this arc. The animation definelty improved but this lighter color scheme was kind of hurting my eyes but overall the art somewhat improved compared to the series. The sound was very good and it had that tone and vibe from the original series. The characters were pretty much the same and we didn't really get any new introductions on big screentime characters except for like one or two characters.
A recommened watch after you have finished the old Hunter x Hunter.

If you have watched any of HxH, go ahead and watch this. It's amazing. I started by watching the new adaptation of HxH and then went back to watch all the old adaptations, and I'm really glad I did. There is some sort of nostalgia to the old ones that every diehard fan needs to see. Going into the specifics...
The story is the same as the manga and the new adaptation. For new viewers, it's just a lot of MMORPG fun. The classic 'sucked into the game' ritual. It's Sword Art Online, but a million times better and with an actual plot. Honestly, this is probably my favorite HxH arc besides York New. It's got a good balance of everything. Especially concerning the plot, it has humor and serious moments that really push the story forwards. On top of that, the logistics of the game itself are ver…

Greed Island is the second of 3 Hunter x Hunter OVAs. It chronicles Gon\'s search for his father, Jin/Ging Freecs. The only clue Gon has is the Greed Island game disc which is father left for him. Unfortunately he needs a special \"Joystation\" to play the game - and the Greed Island game is expensive (think $ Billions). Gon and Killua attempt to purchase the Greed Island game at auction. Thus begins the Greed Island OVA.
Similar to the first OVA and the Hunter x Hunter series, the animation is what we\'re used to - good but not fantastic. The sound is great even though by now it\'s really predictable. Opening and ending themes are interesting though.
The story is fantastic. Greed Island is a special NMORG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) for Nen-users, and if a player\'s ne…
