This anime would be great, If its art and animation weren’t so pathetic, this looks like a YouTube animation (if not worse), but its story is pretty good, if the anime’s animation were better, it’d be a good one.
The anime is so short, it have 12 episodes and each with approximately 3 minutes (you can watch it in 40 minutes), and this is the second reason why I’ve watched it, probably if this one were longer, I wouldn’t watch.
In my opinion, you watch it only if you don’t care much about animation or art; otherwise, it’s a bad idea and a waste of time.

If you are one of those that "graphics is everything" scum then you won't like this, i bet you won't get past episode 1, it's not a masterpiece by any means but that annoying little imouto is cute, i would have hoped it would be more of this.
There is no manga, LN or anything and is an original short anime which if you do like it you will want more development for the characters since they do not get that much.
Sure the 3/4 minute animes are always hurried up, and most of the time they flop but I guess this one is fairly enjoyable, if you do not have much time on your hands, and want to learn a little bit about stereotypes in Japan, give it a go.

I stumbled upon this anime while looking at random shows on Crunchyroll. I had low expectations for it, since I really just wanted something quick to watch. While I was satisfied to a certain extent, there were still some flaws in this show.
I dislike how the intro to most of the episodes is the same explanation that gets shorter as the show goes on. I would understand if they cut it off at about episode 3, but on the 10th episode, do you really need to still explain that you were an average boy living an average life until your Osakan sister came along? I also dislike the ending song, if you wanna call it that. Bath tub songs aren't the thing for me. Other than the intro and the ending song, I also hate the pink hair girl. Why is she even included in the show? She doesn't have any charac…

I have seen my fair share of anime shorts, this was quite possibly one of the most enjoyable ones I seen so far.
Boku no Imouto wa "Osaka Okan" is a show full of humor as it playful shows off and explains numerous stereotypes of people from Osaka.
The animation is not all that impressive and the voice cast is limited as is the case with most shorts, but it still doesn't take away from the characters or the story. The brother and sister pair well together (as true brother and sister).
Namika (the little sister) is cute, lovable, and 100% Osakan, Kyousuke (the brother) generally goes along try to make sense of his Osakan little sister, and Kaede (the Little sister's best friend) helps round out the cast.
I went into watching this having little to no expectations and upon completion wa…

Have you ever experienced (or at least imagined) someone close to you going to a distant place, staying there for a considerable period of time, and returning as an entirely different person from your point of view? That's how things happened for Kyousuke Ishihara, whose younger sister Namika has returned to Tokyo from Osaka after being separated by family circumstances for the past ten years. And with that, we are introduced to the short anime series 'Boku no Imouto wa "Osaka Okan"'.
For anyone else, there isn't really much that this 12-episode series has to offer, with each episode running just 3-4 minutes long. Though the artwork still looks decent from my point of view, the animation quality is the major letdown here. Where it redeems itself is the fact that this show aims on educatin…

Time for a short series. I randomly picked a short series to watch for some joy. So, it's Boku no Imouto wa Osaka Okan, animated by some very obscure studios. After completing the anime, I have to say I'm surprised(with a very small "s"). It's a rather cute story about an imouto who returned after 10 years and reuniting with her older brother. From her brother's(protagonist) point of view, she changed a lot; She came back as a hyperactive Osaka-n girl.
Story-wise, it's nothing too extraordinary. Just the usual slice of life I've seen, quite similar to "Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai" in a way because of it's "imouto" concept. Unfortunately, in terms of comedy, it terrible. Jokes and gags are not hilarious at all. The show teaches the viewers the "rules" on how Osaka-n people…

intro to each episode is basically a 15 second introduction with him introducing the setting and his litte sister makes ecchi joke at beginning
If you can get past the animation of this show, then you'll find a very good show of comedy/slice of life talking about the humorous things Osakans do. Couldn't decide whether to pick 8 or 9 so i picked 9 since its underrated.

The only good thing about this series is the porn that's going to be coming from it.
The jokes fall flat most of the time, but damn if I wouldn't hit that Imouto like the fist of an angry god.
