Bruh, I watched the full 4Kids version on YouTube and lemme tell you: I really liked it! The show wasn't a real 10/10, it's just fun to watch. The dialogue is sometimes funny, and the whole story is just goofy. Also, because it's 4Kids, guns are replaced with ketchup/mustard bottles. Also, since I watched Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, I recognized some of the voice actors. (But hey, that's the funny part of watching 4Kids: returning voice actors.) Like, Mayor Slim Rations (the mayor of Dusty Town, the wild-west cowboy place) has the same voice actor as King Dedede. I remember that in his first appearance, he changed the tone of his voice. But by the end of the episode, he just gave up and went back to the old King Dedede voice XD. There was also an episode (the one with King Hungry the Ate.…

Technically the best necromancy anime on the market This is Pokemon if you got it off wish or if you got 3 wishes from an evil genie and said "I want Pokemon but with a character that will make me a furry". The premise takes every good trope from 1990's anime and really combines it to make something that will make you nostalgic for better Saturday morning cartoons or anime. It has a little card captor a dash of Pokemon, the characters from beyblade/metabots and a little mecha but overall does not stand on its own and will make you wish you were watching those.

Time for a quick review. Every time Rightstuf has an anime sale, my buddies and I always look for garbage that they basically give away for free. That's how I bought Dark Cat for 2 dollars. Last week, my friend got Fighting Foodons. I of course bought the new special edition of Chargeman Ken, so I could watch Dr. Volga explode in HD. So what is Fighting Foodons? This series is a low budget parody of Pokemon from 2001. Master chefs do battle with magical monsters made of food. Just like in Pokemon, the monsters all repeat their names incessantly and have special moves. In the first episode, the dark chef summons a giant kaiju cow called Beef Steak that has atomic breath for...no reason. As I mentioned above, this series is a low budget parody made to get some cheap laughs. It's supposed…

(Note: this is going by the 4KIDS dub.) Fighting Foodons is an odd batch. A way to describe it is put Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokémon together in a mixing bowl, batter until gooey, sprinkle some Monster Rancher seasoning on top, then put it in the oven for whatever the equivalent of 26 episodes is. You may be noticing there are instructions missing. For one, I'm not a cook and thus am failing to make cooking jokes. Two, what you do with this make-shift recipe depends on how you want it to taste as all of the ingredients are laid out for you. The reason is because it knows what it is, and it just runs with it from there whether you like it or not. Basically, the story starts with a quick exposition prologue about a king who asked his subjects, “Which is stronger, fried duck or stewed tofu?” A strang…

I remember watching Fighting foodons when I was younger. The concept may seem a little riddiculous, and it is , however thats what makes teh show so enjoyable. If you like types of shows like digimon, pokemon, etc, you will definately enjoy Fighting Foodons. The different food inspired characters are done really well . the english dub was done by 4kids, and like all 4kids dubs some of the voices will get ANNOYING, however this does not take away from the enjoyment of the show. The fights reminded me of pokemon in so many ways. Overall, even though this is an anime directed to kids, anyone can enjoy it easily, if you like shows that are like pokemon, you will enjoy Fighting Foodons.
