Introduction
Shouta Handa is a jobless 25 year old who is sick and tired of his boring life. One evening, at the class reunion, he gets to meet all of the cute girls that used to be his classmates. He soon discovers that they are all successful with interesting careers, and even more importantly—really beautiful now, with bigger curves. Unfortunately, it seems that they are all aware of his boring, unsuccessful life, so they mock him and call him a loser, just like in the old days.
Everything changes when Shouta goes for a walk to have a smoke and accidentally falls into the school swimming pool. This triggers a supernatural phenomenon that takes him back ten years into the past. He finds himself in the same swimming pool during swimming class, surrounded by his female classmates in bikinis. It looks like hentai, there are several situations that seem to have come straight out of hentai, but technically it isn't. Mujaki no Rakuen is a work that flirts heavily with adult content and bets heavily on ecchi and fanservice. Personally, I don't have a problem with works of this genre when there's a clear purpose and a specific audience to consume them. The problem, in the case of this work, is the way it constructs that purpose.

Everything about this looks and feels like exactly a low budget hentai OVA from the early 2000's. How is it that this was made in 2014? Why does this exist? I'm pretty sure I've played more than one eroge with this exact same plot. It's lewd for the sake of lewd and not really comedy. If it was supposed to be for comedy it really wasn't that funny. I think it deserves it's middling reviews and is probably best left to fall into obscurity. Nobody should watch this, it's really not worth it.

Dear readers, I've been watching anime for a long time. I've seen a LOT of bad anime over the years. I actually seek it out because I have a morbid fascination with the absolute worst of the worst. I thought I had seen it all and nothing could really shock me, but then I learned of a non-hentai, ecchi OVA with a MAL rating under 6 and I got curious. That simply doesn't happen. Half the users on this site act like giving something a 5/10 is the same as giving something a 0/10 plus sending death threats to all of its fans. The ultimate fantasy brought to life, an outstanding three-episode story that will leave any cultured person fully satisfied at the end.
This series is basically perfect. It isn't afraid to ignore social stigmas and boundaries to create a rich and beautifully lewd plot. The only thing I could wish for was a better / cuter art style.
However, I cannot hold the art against this series, it's not the newest, and it more than makes up for any distaste in art style for the superb amount of ecchi scenes and fan-service. They're literally off the charts. At times, it seems like it could become a Hentai at any second, but never crosses that boundary.

This is a kind of anime where it would've been better if it's animated as a hentai instead of a fucking anime lmao.
