It's the Strawhats. Playin' soccer.
Not too much to write for this movie special. It's nice. I wish I was able to find a higher quality rip online. Animation is alright, but again, couldn't really tell with the rip I was watching.
The Strawhats fight an odd rouge's gallery of "Villains Who The Strawhats are Kind of Cool With and Buggy". Mostly, it's just a highlight reel for the Strawhats, with a focus on Sanji. Nami and Vivi are relegated to cheer leaders, which kind of sucks. Like, c'mon man, you have an octopus and a reindeer out on the field. Let a girl play.
I didn't hate the short, but I enjoyed the whimsy of Jango's Dance Festival much more. If you're a fan of soccer, you'll probably like this way more than I did.

I wasn't expecting much when I decided to watch this short, I mean, it's just a pre-movie short to be bundled with the actual movie, but the storytelling & comedy in this one is pure perfection.
Without giving any spoilers, this is probably the author's favourite bit from the entire One Piece show, for a very special reason.
the artstyle has some elements that are a bit different than usual, if I understand it correctly (by watching it), there's a 3d environment with 2d animated characters on top. when I saw the environment I thought "wait, is this a 3d One Piece short?", so it might be a little misleading when you first boot up the episode, but it is not a 3d short, and the artstyle works really well. it reminds me of what Disney has done in the past when adding cartoon characters to r…

Stadiums were desolate. This was a time when Football (Soccer) Meant nothing to most people. Then His majesty ODA comes and graces us with his voice. The events that unfold in this 5-minute film are magical and intense. Oda decides to miss his penalty out of the kindness of his heart so Sanji can score the greatest penalty of all time. It was after this film was released,
When football became the greatest sport ever and the Most Popular.
Thank You Oda-Sensei for enlightening us
MAL is asking for a longer review so I'm gonna talk about just how amazing one-piece is.
It slaps the dog. I've only read like 100 chapters and I can say for sure it's perfection. Zoro is perfect, Luffy is goofy (In a good way) and something about Nami just keeps me wanting for more.

It sounds almost like a dream, it that what it was. Your favorite characters having a competitive football match (yeah, it's call football Americans, not soccer, get your facts right).
A lot of key characters appear you get Vivi, Koby, and Hellmempo, along with some memorable villains like Bon Clay and Buggy.
Sanji manages to prove his kick is continent crossing, typical. It feels like the type of specials that really needs a remake with newer character and updated animation, it would really make for an amazing standalone release if done right, as this one seemed a lot on the rushed side and needs more direction.
