Honestly, there isn't much to say about AkaKill! Gekijou. This is another one of those specials in a chibi format made exclusively to get a few quick laughs from fans of the main series. It's short, light and unpretentious, without any intention of expanding the story, deepening characters or adding anything really relevant to the universe of Akame ga Kill!. The proposal is simple: take characters who normally experience extremely violent, dramatic and tragic situations and place them in absurd and comical scenarios. The change in tone even has its charm, especially for those who have finished the main series and want to see the characters in more relaxed situations. After all, after so much suffering and so many deaths, watching this cast in sillier moments ends up being a curious experi…

It's a little hard to rate AkaKill! Theater due to the varying nature of each one minute short, however, I can say, I really did not enjoy this. Whilst crude humour is normally found throughout a lot of these different shorts, and whilst I'm not normally one to mark a show down for the odd joke here and there - AkaKill! Theater has the script writing of a bored author opening a book of terrible crude jokes, picking 18, laying out a story line for them and then having a small handful of actually good content in between. I think there was maybe four or five episodes I enjoyed throughout this entire thing, coming from someone who adored AkaKill! as a whole, concept and the theme of the show. This felt like a massive let down compared to what the original series is - I'm not one to complai…

Akame ga Kill! Theater is a compilation of shorts parodying the parent series “Akame ga Kill”. As dark as the original turned out to be, many fans wished for a more lightweight comedy centered parody to light up the heart. And as bad the original turned up to be (facts) ONA had no effect on that. - Story (6.0/10): The story as a leading aspect here was absent, but for a good reason, and that's what parodies are all about, instead, humor and jokes make up for that. It seemed as if all the jokes throughout the entire ONA were a direct reference going in sync with the original, making fan of some characters just for the heck of it, trying desperately to push some laughs out of us, but unless you were a hardcore fan that you'd feel bad if you didn't laugh on the dry jokes, you would most of t…

TLDR: If you enjoyed Akame Ga Kill! watching this will give you closure of the ending and good feel vibes you'll need. I write this after binging the entire Akame Ga Kill! and Akame Ga Kill! Theater and for the first 22 mini-episodes they are enjoyable, it adds an extra layer of comedy and unseriousness since it wasn't in the original show. Now having said that while watching I didn't expect much to come from it since they are kinda like mini skits, but what really makes this outstanding in my eyes is the last two episodes in which they can give a sort of closure that the original anime doesn't give you. (Spoiler Warning) In these two last episodes it shows these characters after they have died and them interacting with one another and being a group once again, friend or foe they all can…

This is a chibi style series of comedy specials for Akame ga kill. The series generally follows the main story. For example, episode 14 in the main series is about esdeath and tatsumi. Episode 14 in this series is also about esdeath and tatsumi. It does it's job sufficiently. Not hilarious, but they were amusing enough. If you liked the main series and want to see more akame ga kill, I'd recommend watching it. The last 2 episodes aren't funny, but touching. In fact, I was going to give this a 6, but the last 2 episodes bumped this to a 7. I only have two criticisms (which aren't really criticisms); I would've liked more jaegers/esdeath episodes, and it would've been nice if the last 2 episodes were one normal style ONA/short, even if it was a comedy one.

I have to say that you can't write much about this ONA in a review, since every episode is only 1 min. and few seconds long. Without much to say about the story and art...etc,I could only recommend to every Akame Ga Kill anime\manga fan to watch this series,it's really funny (though I find some episodes really poor) and don't take much time, just try it out and I'm sure it isn't really a waste of time, the personalities of the characters aren't far from that of the main series so the jokes can be really funny as if you were watching the main story.
