Heart Cocktail. A cocktail of bold and unassuming. Unconventional and earthly. Rapid and placid.
As you can see from the score below, this is one of the animes of all time for me. But how come, despite my numerous gripes against the episodic shows and romance genre in general?
Well, the thing about HC is exactly that it doesn't try to be anything special. Now, make no mistake, this show makes a very bold statement by its very existence, yet it remains faithful to itself and to its original premises in a manner, inspiring appreciation, respect, and admiration. It remains mature, devoted, touching, and moving all the way through, without losing that mellow old-fashioned mood.

Heart Cocktail came out in 1986 and is about various romantic stories that last around two to three minutes.
The animation quality various from episode a little but overall looks like a very well transitioned PowerPoint presentation. If you compare it to something like the 1985 anime Twinkle Nora Rock Me it looks way better but if compare it to most anime it would be bellow average animation. The art itself it pretty good for the time. It just didn't have a large amount of movement.
The romance in this episode various in quality. It's like a three minutes Hallmark movie. It doesn't have a lot of plot. There's not much to say because the character barely speak.
The music is where this anime shines. It is the best part about watching it and where it shines most. Each track is really good…
