AniWorthTiger Mask
Introduction
Tiger Mask (whose real name was Naoto Date) was a feared heel wrestler in America who was extremely vicious in the ring. However, he became a face after returning to Japan when a young boy said that he wanted to be a villain like Tiger Mask when he grew up. The boy resided in an orphanage, the same one that Tiger Mask grew up in during his childhood. Feeling that he did not want the boy to idolize a villain, Tiger was inspired to be a heroic wrestler.
The main antagonist in the manga and anime was Tigers' Den, a mysterious organization that trained young people to be villainous heel wrestlers on the condition that they gave half of their earnings to the organization. Tiger Mask was once a member of Tigers' Den under the name "Yellow Devil", but no longer wanted anything to do with them, instead donating his money to the orphanage. This infuriated the leader of the organization and he sent numerous assassins, including other professional wrestlers, to punish him.

A Masterpiece That Taught Me Strength and Sacrifice.
Tiger Mask is a masterpiece in every sense. It was one of the first anime I ever watched, and it holds a very special place in my heart because I watched it with my dad. He is an orphan, just like Naoto Date, and that made the story hit even deeper for both of us. He explained everything to me, from the reason Naoto wore the mask to what each match truly meant and what it means to fight for what is right.
The story is simple but deeply powerful. A man who once fought as a villain in the wrestling ring decides to change his life. He turns against the dark organization that trained him and fights instead for justice and for the children in the orphanage where he grew up. Every time he steps into the ring, it feels like he is fighting for…

Really great anime, with a fantastic protagonist, that feels very relatable, thanks to the doubts and insercurities he displays, despite him being skilled and strong.
Music is also very good. Decent mix of sad and energetic melodies, that perfectly complement the images on screen.
This is an highly suggested anime to watch, because of his simply and yet engaging story, even if you don't care much about wrestling.
The animation is pretty rough at times, but it's like a nice time capsule from the 60s, but it gets better the further you go with the episodes.
I'm currently subbing the italian version of the show in english.

And i still can't believe that nobody wrote a review for it yet, Tiger mask is a story about wrestling, this will be your first impression when you watch it for the first time but believe me its about so much more, and I don't want to keep you detailed about the story. my advice just keep watching it. And also a small note if you're a fan of wrestling you better check out this anime, cuz i have one word and it's Awesomeness.
Story: As I said earlier the story evolves about wrestling and a famous wrestler who's loved by everyone and tries so hard to keep his identity secret. I don't want to give yo…
