Introduction
This series tells the story of 9 year-old Katri, a girl who lives on a farm in Finland with her grandparents. Katri's mother has been away in Germany for three years. The farm is not doing well, so to help support her family, she goes to work on a neighboring farm. Katri faces many struggles and challenges.

For starters, I'm from Finland myself, so the review is a little biased, and just to mention that this is the only anime to date to be based entirely on Finland. I would recommend this anime for anyone looking for a mostly light-hearted show with a bit of drama, and with a sweet, likable protagonist. If you're interested in Finland, or are a Finnish person, this is a must-watch.
In a WW1 era Finland, Katri herds cows with her trusty and clever dachshund, Aapeli/Abel, at a neighboring farm in the countryside to earn a living for her grandparents during troubling times. To summarise Makiba no Shoujo Katri, it's an anime about a diligent, precocious and endearing young girl, who takes it upon herself to face the many trials of adult life within an early 20th century Rural (and later Urban) Finnish setting - all so she can pull her own weight and help her family out during a pinch. You watch her overcome many tough obstacles through hard work and determination. Other well crafted and unique characters are gradually introduced, most of which fall in love with her zeal and dedication. You will likely resonate with these characters and develop a sense of paternal love for the sweet girl who you watch over. This is a story of a girl named Katri who lives along with her grandparents in a remote village of Finland. Her grandparents are poor and she lost her father at the age of 3 and to support the family her mother leaves her to work a far. Mostly she is away from her mother.
This story has 2 parts one is where she works with Raikkoku farm and another arc with Ms.Lotta's farm.Personally i gave 7 only because of how well the story was in the first part at Raikkoku. Here you can see herding cows, wheat harvest and especially weaving. I wished that the second part is not there after i watched the entire series.
