Honestly, I never imagined I’d ever review something like this...
Well, right off the bat, Dropout Hentai makes its premise crystal clear: an extremely fetishistic, over-the-top world entirely focused on domination, humiliation, and power dynamics. It’s the kind of work that knows exactly who its audience is and doesn't waste time trying to hide it. While I haven't seen a lot, so far this is my favourite hentai. Mainly carried by its premise and world-building but it's also just kind of fun because of how depraved it is. I love Reika's character because of how unhinged she is, the way she wants to be used is so hot. Even as a sub I thought the sex scenes were a perfect blend of really hot but also really fucked up. The scene in the bathroom in episode 2 especially. I also kind of like the idea of the MCs character development, but because of the lack of episodes it goes way too fast and kind of fucks up the pacing. The animation is really great and I love the art a lot. The fantasies this spawned in my head are crazy. Honestly, long story short, its biggest problem is that it should've had more episodes.

This series relies on the desensitization of misogynistic sexual desires, the storyline leaves much to be desired as well as the character palette. It's interesting that the action scenes include X-Rays similar to Mortal Kombat to improve the overall storytelling capability but I feel as though the series wasted its budget purely on action sequences; I do feel that the VA in this series a bit 50/50 leaving, again... much to desire. We are yet again left in the dark on the character development because we are only given 2 episodes which are not really focused on establishing a storyline or beginning character development.

Whenever I review a hentai, especially something with tags that lean towards the extreme, I try to put myself into the mind of someone who would enjoy this. That being said, although the overall visual shock value is not as extreme as some other hentai with gore it has a more psychologically damaging effect to the viewer. We see a darker side in this hentai than we do in some more extreme shows as usually the shows catering to certain niches often occur in isolated circumstances but in this dystopian society the horrifying acts are treated with such submission and in such a casual manner. I'm not a fan of overly sexist plot lines like these (Even by hentai standards), but I would have been able to shrug it off if the animation in this hentai weren't so disgusting. The way the characters are drawn and proportioned look gross and some of the animations made me gag (especially the X-ray anal scene in the first episode).
Honestly if this sort of thing is your jam then by all means whip out the tissues and the lotion, but I'd much rather go watch Bible Black instead of trying to sit through this.
