This is an interesting one to review, because it could go pretty much anywhere.
This is one of those very short anime - 3 minuites per episode. This means it doesn't have any time to explore anything with any depth whatsoever. But, this anime really doesn't need to - I think if it did the story would suffer. This isn't a "slice of life" anime where you take one or two characters and show moments from their life - this is a "slice of place" anime where you watch glimpses of peoples' lives while waiting for a railroad crossing.
And for what it is, it really isn't bad. "You get two girls who are trying to navigate youthful feelings they don't understand, an older man who has regrets from admiring a girl from afar in his youth, a boy who is filled with very, very lustful thoughts about a gir…

I love shorts, I love the concept itself – interactions between people on a railway crossing is a very fine setting for such comedic slice-of-life pieces. More than that, Crossing Time opens with pretty much the perfect execution of the idea – witty and well-timed romcom skit between two girls. Whether you like yuri or not, it's just cute, wholesome and decently funny.
Sadly, the rest of the series is extremely hit-and-miss. There are some really nice skits, like the text-message bickering between two siblings, and extremely bad ones, like a guy just creeping on a girl he considers sexy, with no punchline to it. If the producers did a better job at choosing which scenes from the manga to adapt, it could've been rather excellent for a short-form anime, as the production quality is pretty o…

There isn't much to say, it's a short anime that doesn't want to give an awesome story or something, it does what it says, it entertains you for about 2 minutes and 30 seconds per episode. The stories are pleasant, maybe they won't make you laugh out loud but, sometimes, they can make you giggle, and the animations don't suck, they're good. The music is okay, it isn't great in my opinion. Would I recommend it? Yeah, it's a little entertainment, actually it would be great to watch it while you wait in front of a rail crossing lol
So, do you want to chill out at night under the blankets? It's recommended as much as a slice of life anime, but don't expect a masterpiece, it does its job, and it does it well.

this anime started off so strong and I had such high expectations....
this is not a bad anime by any means, but the drop in story quality when you compare the first half to the second half is so drastic I simply can't say this is a great anime.
the good thing is that while not every episode was a banger, every episode is 3 minutes so even the lower quality ones won't overstay their welcome, and I say lower quality but they're all still good episodes, just not as good when compared to say....episode 3 or episode 4
I wouldn't say its a must watch but you definitely won't regret picking this anime up and you definitely won't have a bad time watching it. would recommend.

In a world that is so obsessed with creating a perfect story and extending things as far as they can go to stumble upon something so charming, short and quaint is a blessing. Honestly given the duration of this show there's not much to it in terms of a full story, its just characters going about their life and waiting at a railroad crossing. Yet, somehow, this show is entertaining from the first to the last second, vividly offering a small glimpse into something we never really give any thought to and that is the thought of others. Every day we pass an untold number of people on the streets and each of them have lives that are both as mundane and completely unlike ours. I honestly loved this show and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick pick me up, because its a quick shot of h…

I'm not a fan of comedy in general and usually find it stupid. But these 3 min episodes were nice. It was quite relaxing to watch it and I even laughed at the situations showed there. I think I liked this comedy because it was very realistic maybe with just a bit of exaggerations. But I could totally imagine situations like these happening in real life and people acting pretty much the same way. Of course, there's no deep drama, development of characters but hey! What do you expect from a 3 min episode? These are very nice sketches of life. Yes, this show is just sketches, but good sketches.
I liked the arts because there were no huge eyes or huge boobs and tiny skirts hardly covering super long legs. It's nothing special but it's good. So, it's 8
The voicing was also good. 8 for the sou…

Opinion & Informal
Art: 5/10 Standard. Nothing impressive or noteworthy. Anatomy was believable.
Animation: 5/10 Standard. Nothing impressive or noteworthy. Movements were believable. No fluidity or anything impactful.
Characters: 5/10 Can't really say much in terms of character development. At least some personalities weren't boring or typical. Interactions were amusing. Plot: 5/10 Each mini story had scraps of a plot and some even had really interesting setups that I would have really liked to see more of and develop.
Development: 4/10 Stupid. Some of the mini stories had really interesting setups that I wanted to see more of but this stupid show ended up just leaving them at the starting line. The development in this s…

Fumkiri Jikan is at best similar to Tsuredure Children in many respects...
As in Fumkiri Jikan centers on a certain train crossing and all the characters waiting for the train to pass go about their daily lives, be it romantic or a chance encounter Fumikiri Jikan takes advantage of a seemingly mundane place to something of a place of great to crazy character interactions.
Fuikiri Jikan DOES have some fanservicey episodes, especially when it involved Mashima Eriko, Tanishi for some butt shots with some yuri baiting with Ai and Tomo, but it's by the by tame in comparison for the most part.
Now certain characters do actually get more episodes and it's not just one-shot characters every episodes, from the aforementioned Ai and Tomo getting bookends of the anime about their "friendship" to t…

Fumikiri Jikan is a great way to spend three minutes. There isn't much to say besides the fact that the anime knows how to use up it's time. The problem with shorts often is not the length itself, but what happens within that timeframe. Some shorts have the gall to not only include an opening, but an ending as well, cutting into the content (mainly because there really is no content). Fumikihi Jikan allows itself to use almost all of it's runtime, with an opening that lasts no more than 24 seconds (at least for the one episode where I actually checked). This means that the three minute short is actually a three minute short.
Now, even if the anime only gave us a minute for content, nobody is going to want to waste time if it's shit. But, every episode is gold in its own way. The meat of t…

To be completely honest, I should rate this lower. I don’t normally rate shorts anything lower than a 4, but a lot of these episodes hurt to watch. It has each episode focus on new characters, with a few characters getting 2 episodes of focus. 2 out of the 12 episodes were genuinely good. The very first episode and the very last episode. The other episodes range from “Boring” to “Unnecessarily creepy or uncomfortable.” I would’ve much preferred an anime short focusing on the two characters in Episodes 1 and 12. Most episodes introduced new characters that were either unmemorable or really bad. The humor just never landed for me. It either came off as awkward or unfunny in its attempts. I had so much whiplash going from “Two friends waiting at a railroad crossing when one suddenly confesses…

Fumikiri Jikan feels and looks like something that's made out of a passion project with said unknown studio and all the things that you could ever have with a decent production.
With that said, this is the best 3 mins short in the season, the others are all trash, Tachibanakan Triangle is pure yuri but mediocre, and the "I don't know whose freaking idea to turn this into an anime" Alice or Alice, a tragic disaster of a lolicon.
With that said, there's no story here, since all of the stories are presented in an omnibus format, it means that every episode is its very own story, but with the same setting around the railroad crossing. It's good, but there are others better out there.
The art and animation is surprisingly good, considering that the people behind this have the will to present…
