Gunjou no Magmell, how do I describe you?
I still don't know if my rating is too low, I don't know what to think of you.
First of all, the plot is really original. The character is likeable, and his motivations are logical. The animation is not bad, so all the ingredients are there to cook us a good anime.
Well... I feel frustrated. The potential was really there, but it was floundering. I felt like they got lost after a while. The story doesn't really move forward and my "excitement" turns into "worry".. And I was right, I got lost at the same time as the plot.
A wasted potential, which I recommend despite everything, because the originality deserves to be seen.

Very enjoyable and I finished it in one day, the plots are great, unpredictable so i was really caught up in those dramas this anime got. This is one of some anime that has no bad episode in my opinion. But it might kinda boring if you focus too much on the explaining, instead of that just look how the action turn out, it will be a 10/10. And more, the story and plot is kinda unique to me, yeah it actually got a "enough" smart and strong main but not too much overpower, they still have weaknesses and arent perfect, and specially the way they met, the way they relax and enjoy being together melt my heart.
I laugh a lot while watching it, you can watch this anime with your family too, the content is quite meaningful, especially in the last episodes(every episode had some violent scenes so re…

This anime is not as bad as people make it out to be!
I had fun watching this sweet and lovely anime, that is definitely not for everyone as it doesn't follow the traditional storyline of a typical anime. Indeed, instead the anime has a new story every episode and doesn't follow any plots but each episode is more or less entertaining and cater to a younger and more pure audience.
No one should take it that seriously and it is just nice to watch it if you have a lot of free time.
Overall i give it a 8!
Storyline: 7 (very basic)
Animation: 7 (basic or even a little lacking compared to other animes)
Soundtrack: 8 (normal)
Enjoyment: 7~8 (rather depends on what you usually like!)

Gunjou no Magmell is an adventure anime in which a boy and a girl take on assignments related to the island of Magmell, a place isolated from the world where the flora and fauna are very different from normal.
The first episodes narrate the first missions of the protagonists. As the series progresses, they explain the background of some characters.
My opinion:
Plot → Typical anime in which each chapter develops a mission, except for some in which they explain the origin of the protagonist. Nothing relevant or interesting happens.
Setting → Nothing to highlight.
Characters → No characters stand out and their backgrounds are nothing special.
Conclusion: In general, it was a boring anime for me, because it gives the feeling that there is no interesting plot to follow. It is a generic anime…

Mediocre is the perfect way to describe this anime. It takes no risks, and seems to think it is much more amazing than it actually is. While the concept is slightly novel, the characters are a bit plain. Sure they avoid the occasional cliche, but they do nothing to go beyond it and fill in the gaps. Episodes tend to end with a "This was resolved offscreen" and really if you aren't going to show the villains getting their payback, what is even the point of watching?
There isn't much more to say honestly. A boilerplate anime leaves little to describe it. The powers are neat, but it falls into a Green Lantern trap, as in if you can summon anything to use as a weapon why go with a normal pistol or a shortsword? It just doesn't make sense. Watch with the fast forward button.

If you don't mind light-hearted comedy this will be great. The plot is extremely non-existent in this series until about the last 2-3 episodes which is such a shame as the manhua is so much more plot-forward and there's so much to explore. The manhua is actually super interesting and I'm so confused why the production company chose to ignore all the potentially amazing portions to animate.
If you are watching the anime after reading the manhua you're going to be sorely disappointed. If you're reading the manhua after watching the anime, you're in for a really pleasant surprise.
Personally I still enjoyed the anime as a fun slice-of-life-ish comedy where the potential for so much plot is just thrown away and left forgotten. Hopefully the next instalment (if any) will be more similar to…

Wow.
It's sad how much potential has been wasted. The idea of such a world is quite creative and would also be very good for an exciting story, but you have an average to bad story with average characters.
I am an emotional person, especially when it comes to music and anime. And there was almost no scene where I felt anything. Neither sadness nor absolute happiness.
The music in the anime was pretty okay. Nothing that stays in the head, rather average. The Japanese voice actors were pretty good. The German voice actors were dull and boring.
The animations were okay at the beginning, a bit flat but okay. At a certain point the animations just got boring and bad. At some point you couldn't really enjoy it anymore.

The starting of the anime really excited me as with a concept of a new continent and explorers the concept really made me into the show making me feel that the show may have the story and the fighting but much to my Imagination the anime turned out pretty different even though the new fighting style with a powerful mc was good still the potential of a good story this anime wasted was immesurable it was still ok tho I thought we would atleast get a good ending but no out of everything the ending is what dissapointed me the most
The anime did have some good parts and some comedy there were some good episode which helps me give this anime a solid 7 it was an ok anime.

This show is episodic and every episode is basically the same theme.
Mother Nature is weird and beautiful and we shouldn't disturb it, then comes something disturbing mother nature on this new crazy continent it made. Then the Eco-terrorist (as I like to call them) of the episode gets punished in some way.
Then it goes on like that for every episode except the last 2, where it decides to have a plot? The 2 part episode however, is the exact same format as every other episode except there is more exposition on the main characters. Then it ends.
Neat concept for an anime. Terrible execution. Repetitious pacing. I'm generally not a fan of episodic modern anime unless it's a comedy or something not serious.

Without seeing anything about this series other than the Netflix description, I watched the first episode thinking I discovered a hidden gem but was disappointed. Even so, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and continued watching a few more episodes but was once again let down. In the end, I finished the series just for the sake of it.
Don’t get me wrong, this anime isn’t terrible but it sure as hell didn’t live up to the expectations of what it could’ve been. If I were to describe each episode with one word, I’d say it would be “lackluster”. If I were to describe the entire anime with two words, I’d say “wasted potential”. I felt that the plot could’ve used more work and direction. Both Inyou and the setting of the anime, was interesting and managed to pique my curiosity but I wish there…

Until the 12th and 13th episode, the whole serie was fun. The characters seem a little bit strange first but later you'll gonna love them. The musics and the story is good, but there is no actuall main plot in the serie. The fight scenes are enjoyable.
I loved it untill the 12th episode, but than. Oh boy! The last 2 episodes are pathetic nonsense. Writing down why, would be spoiler, but I advice that if you liked the serie until the 12th episode, do not watch the last 2. Just read the story what happened. I felt literall pain watching it and skipped like 5 mins from the two episodes.

My expectation for this anime was low. The first couple episodes greatly increased my expectations. The main characters seemed complex, the world was creative, and the design of the animation was really cool and interesting. I loved how the series didn't shy away from hard truths like death. I enjoyed the stand alone plot episodes that revealed a little bit more about the world and the characters. It was rough, but I was excited for more.
But as the series went on, there was not overarching plot...kind of like a Sunday cartoon where the world resets each episode. I don't mind that style except when a plot into is crammed into the last 3 episodes of the anime and then does a bad job of it. To top it all off, I grew to dislike literally all the characters. Some characters were single sided.…

My first impressions of the show were very hopeful. After the first episode, I had the thought that the show would be a grand story about a humble/reserved overpowered hero who fights his way through a dangerous environment...boy was I wrong. Every episode is something new, and not the good new. All the stories feel very rushed and there are no explanation for many things. Besides the main hero and his mysterious master, all the other characters backgrounds are just uncomparable. I hope in upcoming seasons(if there are any), the writers will focus more towards a longer story for the main character instead of having a different story with different, unlikable characters every episode.

Disguises itself as a Hunter x Hunter clone but in reality is a generic, forgettable mess. The gist of the plot is this: some new continent suddenly appeared and people want to explore it. Are we given any information as to why this happened? No, of course not. The characters are beyond bland and can be described completely by their character archetype. There’s over powered main character Inyo whose powers are never fully explained then there’s token loli Zero who, of course has a crush on the protagonist. There’s other characters but they aren’t developed enough to even qualify as real characters and none are particularly important to the overall story. If you can even call it that.
The show is episodic and most episodes aside from the last couple have little to no connection with the ot…

This is just some gibberish review that i write since I'm mad about how it all ends.
For me anime ends on the episode 10 and does 10 episodes were so much fun, always new adventures and new dumb people to fight off.
Seems like the anime was written by like 4 people since it's style changes like every 2-4 episodes, don't know what happend here but still enjoyed it.
The character itself is a charismatic guy that struggles with money and works as a proffesional rescuer from a new continent that was created, by higher powers. The continent itself has a lot of potential you can find some intresting creatures there. Wish anime focused more on creating new spicies and plants in a way that involves more people. Seems like writer lost his ideas around episodes 6, but still next 4 episodes were…

Usually I don’t write reviews but I had to after what I discovered This Anime in episode 9 copied 1 of the soundtrack from the testament of sister new devil anime I Swear I never seen any anime do that in my entire life.
Also more about this anime it doesn’t have a story or a path to follow it’s just like everywhere a new thing every episode which is kinda confusing and lame 😒
Overall I say it was a waste of time 5/10
Soundtrack was also all boring not that good
Characters were ok main character was over powered

When I first began this anime, it had piqued my interest from the start just by how much potential it was given by the fascinating setting. A new continent "Magmel" had been discovered, which was full of all kind of varieties of beasts, to dangerous plants and who knows what else could be there. But in fact, the mystic part of it would make it exciting and make you curious about exploring the island and figure out new things as you move on. Of course, also all sorts of people wanted to explore this new continent to gain fame, discover new things that could possibly make them insanely rich. Here comes the "Angler" whose job is to save those who are stupid enough to get into all kinds of trouble over there. They also possess a really cool power which can pretty much materialize anything. For…

It's amazing how to pretentious first chapter can be turned into an anime if not bad but neither good in my biggest disappointment of the season. In its first chapter we intend to be animated with a childish touch but with a dark background, good animation, interesting characters with pasts, heartbreaking that would make you think that the real monsters are the same humans, accompanied by a feeling of exploration in a final world full of mysteries and the final result is a childhood anime with humor to rather ungrateful opinion, a generic final that endured a much less tragic ending than the villain of the first chapter. While the anime has another good thing, it is the opaque by other points, not very good, what could be the rescue of the relationship of Zero with Inyo, but there is a lot…

I hate it. I hate it when anime with potential disappoints me. It’s different when anime I know is bad turn out the way they do. When it comes to promising anime that turns sour is what really irks me. I don’t mean that the anime has a bad ending or something, I mean that there is no ending because the story goes nowhere. Why oh why did Gunjou No Magmel have to be that anime.
Gunjou No Magmel starts out with some potential. You have this huge island appear out of nowhere. Endless adventures and discoveries can be had. The characters are eager to explore their surroundings as are the viewers. They throw in tidbits of an overarching story that has remnants of Hunter x Hunter or One Piece. Everything was being set up nicely. The first few episodes do a good job at establishing the world wit…
