Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious

Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious

Introduction

There is a popular saying: "you can never be too careful." It is very important to prepare for every situation you may face, even if it seems like an unnecessary waste of time. Also, in games like RPGs, it is good to exceed the level of your enemies to achieve total victory. These words describe Seiya Ryuuguuin a little too perfectly. After being summoned by the goddess Ristarte to save the world of Gaeabrande from destruction, the hero prepares himself for his noble journey. While this might be normal, he spends a very long time training himself, despite having overpowered stats. He fights weak enemies using his strongest skills and buys excessive amounts of supplies and potions—all to stay safe. While his attitude may be a bit annoying, it might just be the saving grace of Gaeabrande, especially considering that it is a world where the forces of evil dominate each and every expectation. Disappointing and Overrated I’m genuinely puzzled by the high ratings for this series. Far from being entertaining, it relies on juvenile humor that falls flat and fails to deliver any meaningful wit or cleverness. Unless you enjoy mindless, lowbrow comedy, I would strongly advise against wasting your time. Key Issues: Unoriginal Plot: The story follows a tired, predictable formula without adding anything fresh or innovative. Within the first few episodes, I could easily guess every major plot "twist." Shallow Characters: Each character feels like a recycled stereotype with no depth or development. They’re one-dimensional caricatures rather than believable individuals. Forced Humor: The jokes are repetitive and rely heavily on crass or absurd scenarios that aren’t just unfunny—they’re cr…

Thanks, I hate it. Humor is subjective and to me this one didn't go far enough in any direction to even qualify for the comedy tag. Here is the premise:- Japanese teens are always Isekaied so why break tradition, a goddess summons one to be this world's savior in a very Konosuba like fashion. Dude is OP and he just makes up the rules of this world as he goes to maintain OP status. The end. And this is why this show doesn't work. Wants to be a parody like Konosuba BUT blows through the tropes due to OP status instead of actually doing something clever or unexpected. So not a parody so much as a power fantasy. Wants to be a comedy and tries to make the goddess the butt of the joke same as Konosuba BUT it's the "hero" degrading her over and over all while using her & actually hitting…

Cautious Hero is yet another one of those isekai that have flooded the market because of Sword Art Online and in its attempt to stand out in this more than saturated subgenre that copy-pastes each other’s ideas with little to no variation, it went for the comedy routine. The guy who is summoned to another world in order to save it is overpowered as hell, which is a most typical element, but he is also ridiculously cautious, which makes him obnoxious to the people around him, despite that being the reason he constantly wins. And that is the only thought the author had while writing the script. The entire premise and plot are right there in the long ass title most light novels are notorious for. There is not much differentiation across its arcs; some powerful monster appears, the hero is con…

I came to watch this anime because I originally watched Isekai Quartet. In Isekai Quartet, I completed the other Isekai anime and the name of this anime, Shinchou Yuusha, appeared. Finally I tried to watch this anime. The results are satisfying of course. Starting from the first episode, this anime presents a good comedy and somewhat different from the anime that I have watched before. The first to tenth episodes contain satisfying comedy. Arriving in the last two episodes. They provide a sharp turning point where this anime turns into a sad anime. Yeah, like most of the comedy anime. For the art point, although there are no waifuable characters, the art supports the comedy genre.

"Another mixed bag isekai" Of course, even knowing with certainty that that's what this was going to be at best, I still ended up watching it to completion out of sheer boredom. Perhaps it was because I wanted something to fill the void left by a lack of Konosuba in my life... (Not that Konosuba is all that great to begin with, but don't kill me). Whatever the case, if you just happen to be the cynical type and also happen to have a bad habit of giving more than just a cursory glance well, this is one of those anime whose first episode serves as an accurate representation of the show as a whole. That should tell you all you need to know to save your time. Yes, it is immediately apparent what Cautious Hero's main influence is but, despite its largely comical structure the sheer volume of…

[This may contain spoilers (Actually, not much)] Ok, maybe it doesn't have the best story or the best characters, but it has something that I can't describe I only watched this because of its cameo in Isekai Quartet, expecting a generic isekai more, "if it is like Konosuba at least it is a worth it show" I thought, but it is much greater It's a really good comedy, time ago I hadn't laughed so much with an anime, you don't really feel any forced joke, it's all natural (at least I feel that, so 10 in enjoyment :p) And for the end, what tremendous final, I had never cried so much with an anime, it is totally a good feeling after watching, so that's why I rate this anime so high I really recommend this to everyone++

Shinchou Yuusha: An isekai that made us "Fall for Innocents" (Review with spoilers) After watching the final episode of the anime known as Cautious Hero, I have to admit that I did not expect that blow to the liver I ended up taking. In fact, after remembering my first impressions and thoughts of Shinchou Yuusha, I can't help but laugh when I feel like the series really teased me; but the curious thing is that it did not do it in a bad way or did it for the bad, on the contrary. The result was much better than it would have been if it had followed its initial premise. Except for those who were up to date or advanced with the light novel, the vast majority of those who watched this series did so to have a few laughs; and that was exactly what this anime provided. Although, little by lit…

Cautious Hero is the lightly-salted-cheap-ramen-noodles-in-cheap-broth of isekai anime. It’s not bad by any measure. It fills you plenty. Hell, it feels good to consume. But, one can not deny its lack of sustenance. Though, dear readers, is that really a bad thing, necessarily? Story: 4/10 After reading the title, you already can make more than a few educated guesses about the plot of Cautious Hero. An experienced anime goer won’t be holding their breath over any twists and turns. That’s okay though, because that’s kind of the point. The humor of Cautious Hero hinges on the viewer being familiar with the Stations-of-the-Canon of stereotypical isekai hero stories (the starting town, the demon generals, etc.), and letting Seiya’s questionable choices play out. It’s simple, but it works an…

Ten episodes of absolute hilarity, two episodes of overwhelming melodrama. Why--seriously, why?!--is it so hard to avoid the inevitable dramatic turn of just about every comedy I've ever seen? Can't funny things be funny and dramatic things be dramatic? There is no objective reason to mix the two, because people who enjoy comedy and people who enjoy drama will both be getting screwed. I was actually lmaoing for the first three or four episodes, and all the rest up until 11 I had a smile on my face at the very least. Humor is undoubtedly subjective, but anime humor I feel is far less contingent on societal differences; from what I've experienced, a vast amount of the humor is derived from silly faces and voices rather than what is actually said. Shinchou Yuusha combines both and mixes the…

“ Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot. ” - Charlie Chaplin Cautious Hero is an isekai comedy that was never meant to be taken serious. Far from being overpowered, the hero is overly cautious in preparation no matter how weak the opponent seems to be. If there's a comparison to be done, he's that guy in the group that brings two umbrellas, a raincoat, two pair of clothes and a hat to the beach in a sunny day that was confirmed twice by weather forecast. It's ridiculous. It's silly. It's entertaining. It's almost everything anyone could have thought of, combining the cliché jokes and moments with various over-the-top facial expressions from Rista and her voice actor that seems like having way too much fun. Then, there's the calm and composed Seiya with no rea…

I HATE GENERIC ISEKAI! This is me, when i see the poster and that long title. First, lets see the title: Shinchou Yuusha or Cautious Hero. Doesn't this title like your generic isekai title, right? Second, lets see the poster: A Kirito guy with his sword and those female who showing her boobs (partly). Hmmm seems like SAO with fanservice scene, right? BUT?! why the hell i give 9 for this show?!! Am i trash taste weeb or just trolling you? Now, Are you ready perfectly to see my review? okay let's go! Story: 9/10 Great story ever! EH?! WHY? I was wrong dude! This is not your generic Isekai. Adventure with a goddess? And that MC always likes to pissing off that goddess? Sound like Konosuba for you, right? You are right! Similar to Konosuba, every episode in this show have solid comedy. E…

(Anime and Season 1 review only, so please don't massacre me if it gets better) While I'm rating this show 6, I still gonna say that this is a must show. Why? Because its a very good show. While I am rating this show a 6 should not discourage you from at least checking out a couple episodes. Especially if you like Konosuba you'll probably like this show too, because it has a very similar style of comedy. But. If you despise sudden ass pull drama that does feel rather forced (I'm looking at you "Sora Yori no Tooi Basho") and it doesn't make any senses, like wtf was that? What's the point of pulling all of this sad shit? If we don't even give a fuck about the characters (well at least for me, because everyone seems like they got hit by a bus). It could have been better if they at least…

Shinchou Yuusha is one of the freshest takes on isekai I've seen in a long time. On the surface, it may appear to me another self insert otaku escapism RPG style video game adaptation, but in reality, in a similar fashion to Konosuba, it takes many of the traditional tropes and cliches seen in Isekai and breaks them down. The MC behaves very differently from your traditional isekai protagonist, as the name suggests, he is overly cautious nearly to the point of insanity. Whereas many protagonists are gun-ho "whew, let's go save the world, level up and return home!" Seiya is extremely cool, calm and collected, almost never showing any emotion and is very calculated in all of his moves, similar to Log Horizon's Shiroe. What really makes the show great for me, and the reason why I gave it a…

[Spoiler Warning. The part I actually spoil is labeled later on, so you'll know when it happens. But I was forced to put a full spoiler warning at the top. I guess you can't be too... cautious... eh?? ...I hate this.] “I get it. It ain’t making me laugh, but I get it.” --Meatwad (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) Although I didn’t enjoy it all that much, I respect how Tueeeeeeeeeeeeeee repeats its own themes of caution within the writing by explaining every single joke and detail of the story. Even the title itself is an act of caution: ‘Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious’, the subtitle of which is literally just a much longer and more inconvenent way of saying “CAUTIOUS FUCKING HERO”. White Fox themselves delayed the broadcast of a couple episodes to make sure they would b…

MADE ME CRY,never saw something so spectacular this is my first time making a review, and i'm making it because this anime deserves way more than 7.52 like all of you think, what many people don't consider when reviewing an anime is the CREATIVITY BEHIND IT which no one apparently appreciated enough,i've seen a good amount of "hero saving the world anime" but NONE OF THEM were like this, this one makes a real difference. Before rating something y'all need to compare the anime you're reviewing genre with the other animes that you watched with the same gender, look at the ratings and then decide. Really,a true masterpiece of work.

It's not every day I find myself so damn enamoured and thoroughly absorbed in a comedy anime that hits all my right points for enjoyment value. Cautious Hero is such a fun rollercoaster of a ride from the first episode, and it only gets much more addicting and captivating as the show progresses. In more ways than one, the watcher is in for quite a surprise with this anime, it's more than meets the eye. But first, when it comes to the overall storytelling, it's simple and relatively straightforward. Takes place in the dimension of the goddess, where each of them is tasked to save their own respective worlds from complete evil. Our story is set in an S-class world ruled by the demon king and his goons. We follow our two main leads. Firstly, we have Seiya, who is the overly cautious savage…

You’ve probably heard this one before. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, isekai anime tends to run like an assembly factory. The product may be different but the fundamentals remain similar with a protagonist being summoned to another world by some divine entity. Their objective usually involves with saving a world and in this show, that’s no different at first. Except for one curious fact: he is overpowered and overly cautious. Meet Seiya Ryuguin, an overly powered protagonist hero but with an extremely cautious personality. Watching his character in the show equates to observing a perfectionist trying to be absolutely perfect in every way possible. Don’t believe me? Watch the first few episodes and it’s clear that Seiya plans everything accordingly to the fi…

"All according to keikaku": The Anime So remember KonoSuba where Aqua was a Goddess and she was running this whole "hey reincarnate in another world and defeat a demon lord", well Shinchou Yuusha: Kono Yuusha ga Ore Tueee Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru does that but makes it an industry!, that is to say Great Aqua stand Ristarte voiced by Aki Toyosaki has now been commanded to bring in a hero to save a S rank world in danger, she after many digging and jabs at other isekai animes, she picks Seiya Ryuuguuinn voiced by Yuuichirou Umehara, however he's not like most heroes, that is...he is extremely, almost like a sickness, cautious. So starts one wacky yet extremely cautious adventure to defeat the demon lord. In a ways it's like KonoSuba but with Aqua's and Kazuma's roles reversed or KonoSuba but…

This is going to be the best isekai in this year, I have ever watched. After I have seen the final episode of this anime, It was.. VERY IMPRESSIVE. So this is a second time I have ever review anime, I hope you guys will get anything from anything I had written here so first of all; Story: (6/10) It's just an unoriginal isekai with a goddess who just summon a Hero from our or ANOTHER world to help ANOTHER(of ANOTHER) world. Konosuba was made it before, An Isekai, comedy, Sitcom But now instead of Kazuma, we have Seiya. A Cautious Hero... Very Cautious Hero. Summoned by useless goddess named Aq- ahem! Rista who is just a goddess of support, She can heal and just that. They were going to save ANOTHER WORLD from "4 demon lord". What a classic MMORPG game! (ahem! Anime). but that just a big pl…
