Marudase Kintarou is a refreshing blend of BL and action, and is quite possibly the gayest, lewdest thing I have ever seen, and I have seen many gay, lewd things in my time. And that's despite the fact that it is very censored.
As others have said, even though it is less than 10 minutes, the story and characters are fully fleshed-out (emphasis on flesh) and it feels longer than it is (that's what he said).
But it is too damn short and I need MORE!

I wasn't even going to bother reviewing this. But I feel compelled to warn future generations about its awfulness, as a kind of public service. It was on Crunchyroll of all places (I wonder if the execs are aware this is in their catalog) and that means it is extensively censored- and all I can say is:
THANK GOD this is censored.
The other reason I review this is as a way of demonstrating what makes a terrible anime distinct from everything else. I have seen plenty of bad anime, in fact watching bad anime is a fun pastime of mine. But some cross over into the downright offensive, or are so badly made and incompetent that they are irredeemable. This is BOTH of those things.

This is not worth watching. The entire thing is irritating, stupid and a complete waste of time. Imagine having seen this in the theatre when it came out. I would have been too embarrassed to show my face after that.
Story: Absolutely ridiculous. No substance, no plotline, just stupid antics from stupid characters. It's like a bunch of perverted skits that happen to Makoto that are all spliced together with no real direction.
Characters: Annoying and idiotic. The main character is a weirdo and his bodyguard is as well. The side characters are sex-addicted freaks and do stupid things. No one in this anime is likable. I think I may have actively hated them.
Style: The art actually isn't that bad, but it does have some of the telltale yaoi features (pointy faces etc.).

For what it's worth, I enjoyed it. Not every anime has to have riveting story and fluent animation and this is one of many 4/10 animes where you can get as much as enjoyment out of watching 8/10 anime. At the end of the day, that's all that matters. Hence, I'm giving it 8/10.

They fit entire season worth of shit into 5 min...pretty nice because I will remember as much of the plot as that of one piece even after watching 700+ episodes of it. Both will leave vague memory in my mind but one of them didn't take 2 months.
They even had a little plot twist at the finale too. Pretty cool.

I’m just going to say that this is just BL trash, straight and to the point. The art is fine, music is nothing special, and the story is basically nonsense. So why would I consider it fine? Well because for 9 minutes you get ridiculous dialogue and outlandish forbidden techniques to add a little salt to an already weird show. The voice acting also adds some nice spice to the overall BL caricature that is this show. Hate it if you want to, but for me it was a pretty fun watch for the time spent.

I was so speechless the whole time, there were dicks all over the place because somehow they're always losing their clothes and suddendly they would start fighting with their dicks.. my brain couldn't keep up with what was happening.
There was no plot, the story was horrible and the characters were so weird and very dramactic. The only thing you can point out it's the animation, that surprisingly, it wasn't so bad..
I don't think I've ever seen an anime as bizarre as this one. I'll pretend I never saw this.

What the hell
This anime is what you’d call a clusterfuck. Had no idea what was even happening. Suddenly, a censor bar would just pop up. The story is just a mess. From what I understand, a boy is getting taken away from his bodyguard boyfriend by the school?? This is worse than Pupa.
Art wise, it’s bad. There wasn’t anything good. Even if the art was good, the god awful story would still ruin it. Why make a 9 minute anime?? What’s the point if it’s this boring and bad.
The sound was nothing spectacular. I won’t remember any of the songs at all since the anime is literally 9 minutes. Like 3-4 minutes is literally the ending, that’s sad.

I have no clue who would approve this in 2020 but they did. Was it all worth it, I wonder, to live, only to see this? You will be the judge of this because I simply don't know.... I don't know.
There is no plot, no point, no real characters, it is absurd to the nth degree but without the comedy or the charm of other absurd shows. There are naked dudes and censored dicks.
The reason it gets two stars is because it is so utterly... dull, really. Nothing so bad it would deserve one star.
I will, however, point out that the scene being shown in the promo picture does not happen. I feel oddly robbed and demand a refund.

While I was watching, all I could think was: "Is this real? Who approved this? Who thought it was good enough to show to others? What is happening?" and most important: "Why I am watching this?"
There is no story, the characters... well, there is mentioning of names but nothing else about them, there are d*cks everywhere and characters' attacks using their d*cks because... I can't really understand why, but they are always losing their pants.
Honestly, I couldn't focus on art or sound because well, you can imagine the reasons by reading the previous paragraph. But obviously, I am not rewatching this because I am pretty sure it's nothing remarkable and it cannot save the lack of story and enjoyment.

Knowing this OVA was made just to promote the manga, I wasn't expecting anything complex, but this goes beyond being synthetic. It's just a few kinky scenes put together in some way, as if the producers thought that who watched was already familiar witht the source material.
There's literally no introduction to any of the characters, not even the titular Kintarou, and even the motivation of the "bad guys" isn't well explained. Do they want to f*ck Makoto and take control over the school, as the summary says, or is the boss' real objective Kintarou? It's really confusing.

Marudase Kintarou is weird in every sense of the word. It's so unimaginably ridiculous, illogical and stupid that it makes you question why someone decided to create this.
