The Vampire Dies in No Time

The Vampire Dies in No Time

Introduction

Vampires are known to have many weaknesses that balance out their incredible power, but the vampire lord Draluc happens to be weak to pretty much anything. The vampire hunter Ronald receives a job to infiltrate the castle of the so-called "Invincible Progenitor" and rescue a woman's son from the monster within. But upon arriving, he is dumbfounded to discover that the vampire quickly turns to ash by something as trivial as a clap of his hands! Moreover, the child he was sent to save had merely wandered in to play the vampire lord's video games while he slept! In a disastrous turn of events, Draluc's castle is destroyed, and the fragile vampire decides to move in with the hunter who has only just defeated him. Ronald, Draluc, and the vampire's pet armadillo John form quite the eccentric team as they are forced to work together while fending off Ronald's violent editor, the lesser vampires plaguing the city, and even their fellow vampire hunters. This show has peak gag humour, it's tmi jokes taken to an adult level, and it's great. Ronaldo is so fine, and so are many other characters, and they have plenty of age appropriate fanservice of those characters to act like gooners about (respectfully). and John, the cutest, most precious armadillo companion ever. Some episodes I have to skip through, but I love watching my favs every time they appear. The art style is really pretty and fun for the story, and you fall in love with all of the main characters. This is a plot-less show, which makes it great to do homework, chores, etc while you watch it in the background. This is a great light-hearted show that anyone with a funnybone should definitely give a watch.

When I first watched this, it was the sub, as I almost exclusively do subs. I only made it through 3 eps and dropped it. Because, frankly the sub sucks for this title. I restarted it in the English dub, and my opinion swung 180°. The English cast and direction make this so campy, it's damned near adorable. I was laughing out loud nearly every episode, or at least finished the episode with a dopey grin on my face. One of the extremely rare anime titles where the dub totally outshines the sub. The artwork here is nothing to write home about. It's below average, as is the animation. The narrative writing bounces around from one goofball situation to another. Don't expect much, if any, plot at all. The character writing is kind of up in the air, depending on the actors' renditions. They were…

I discovered this show through *Re After Recording* and decided to give it a shot, being a huge fan of both voice actors Jun Fukuyama and Tamura Mutsukimi. It turned out to be a delightful surprise! Somehow, this anime had flown completely under my radar during its seasonal broadcast, and I’d even say it’s one of the most underrated shows when it comes to comedy, parody, and gag humor. The anime draws a lot of inspiration from horror stories and the typical vampire-hunter trope, but it flips these expectations on their head, turning it into a refreshing comedy. Instead of portraying vampires as cool and merciless monsters, the show presents the main vampire as the weakest creature ever. While freeloading characters are common in comedy, it’s Draluc’s interactions with others that really m…

This is my first review, but omg this show is so underrated in my opinion. I would say it’s one of my favorite comedy anime’s I’ve ever watched, up there with Uramichi and Gintama. It’s so original and goes through a lot of bits in each episode which is great if you have a short attention span like me, but doesn’t require a lot of mental energy to follow the plot. It’s a super easy watch and cracked me up every single episode! This is one of those rare shows I would rewatch with a friend just so they could enjoy the absolute ridiculous humor with me. I love adorable John the armadillo, the shows is light hearted but hilarious which I think can be hard to accomplish. It seriously kept me engaged the whole time, this is one of those shows where not once did I have the desire to look at my…

The adventures of John the Armando... and two idiots! This is a parody gag show in it's purest form. Every second of screen time has that in mind be it through the animation, the script or the voice acting. It's 12 episodes of none stop gags. Even the characters themselves are parodies. Our two mains are a Helsing & Dracula parodies, John himself is a parody of the now iconic mascot "cute" child character. So much so he ends up with his own cult! The show is light, fast paced and very energetic. The artwork is clean and the animation smooth, the OP theme really stands out in this one. The characters are fun and nobody is to be taken seriously. Because of that however the show fails in one aspect, it doesn't leave a mark. You watch it, you laugh, you move on. Due to the lack of any se…

Enjoyment 10/10 Art: 8/10 comedy 9/10 characters 9/10 sound/music 8/10 Comedy is very similar to Gintama and has a freaking AGE OF EMPIRES REFERENCE!! how pleasant is that !? basically, this is what happen when you mix tokyo ghoul with gintama it also has character relationships like in Gintama of assistant/friend (shinpachi) and guy who does odd jobs just like gintoki :) though gintama having longer run time makes it's jokes more funny, long running and characters are more relatable in gintama but this one does its best with what it has. i will update review as i watch more of this anime.. very funny and adorkable armadrilo highly reccommended to gintama fans who are feeling sad that gintama ended..

"Bleh, Bleh Bleh" -A lot of different vampires. The Vampire Dies In No Time is an anime that might go under the radar for many. With all the heavy hitters this Fall 2021, along with all the Heavy Hitters throughout 2021, an anime like this will go unnoticed. However, one would be mistaken to pass up this show. While it may not be "The Best" anime out there, the show is definitely a fun time if you give it a chance. I hope everyone who reads this can find it helpful. I rate shows on seven aspects, five of which hold the most importance. Animation/Editing/Settings, Plot/Execution, Characters/Dialogue, Music/Sound Design, and Messages/Cultural Themes/Impact. Each of these are rated out of 20. 5 extra points are added for the anime's OP and ED each. Animation/Editing (17/20): The animation…

This show was a joy to look forwards to in a season of rather heavier anime. The humor is a mix of slapstick-meets-was-the-author-on-psychoactive-drugs-while-writing, which is everyone's favourite genre of comedy. Seriously, the writers pushed the boundary of what it means to be a vampire into the next parallel universe. The character designs were insanely creative, grotesque, and just all around fun. I loved the dynamic of our little trio; particularly our pet armadillo John who is the cutest anime mascot since the days of Happy from Fairy Tail. I do feel like the gags started losing a bit of steam near the last 2-3 episodes, but honestly I'd say the enjoyment level of the show remained steady throughout it's run. Also, the OP and ED ABSOLUTELY slap. I had so much fun watching this.

I like rewatch this anime until episode 6, they are so funny and I keep laugh with that tsukkomi on this anime Somehow, there's no story from episode 7 above, it's just adult jokes. And it's too overused, I think this anime is good only until episode 6. But the opening song is good tho, that dancing make me some good vibes. Is it worth it to watch ? Maybe. If you want to search some comedy anime, you can watch this, but the funniest thing only you get is just 6 episodes. How about the episode 7 above ? Welp, just pretend that it was OVA or some extra episode on Anime.

This is a comedic show as you may have already guessed and as expected from it,its done in an episodic format,3-4 situations an episode,it starts meh and it gets better as more characters are introduced. Speaking of characters, since its a comedy expected quite a bit overtop characters, the main cast dynamic may get old sometimes but it switches its side characters enough so it never gets too old on how the situation unfolds/ The art and animation range from decently to goodish and so its soundtrack. Overall it was an enjoyable weekly watch, that being said its 1st episode is one of its poorest showing in terms of comedy, not that its bad but its mediocre, the 3 episode rules worked for me in deciding whatever i should continue it or not and it met my expectations.

I wasn't planning on watching the show but i decided to give it a go after watching mothers basement's anime season video. I am SO glad i gave it a shot. It quickly became a favorite that I looked forward to every week. I ADORE John the armadillo and I would absolutely die for him! This show's humor is absurd (and corny boob-butt-sex related) but I howled in laughter nearly every episode. The last comedy I laughed at like this was Sakamoto-kun! Overall this show has gotten me through some of the worst weeks of my life and it's become special to me. This is a must-watch for anyone, even if it's only for John. I hope a second season is on the way! Now excuse me, i have to go read the manga now.

One of the most famous manga from Shounen Champion finally receives the anime adaptation. KyuuShinu is an absurd comedy about a vampire hunter and a vampire that always dies. Their dynamics works well even when they are so different from each other, but they share the stupidity (one brain cell) As the plot follows Ronald and their huntings with Draluc and John (the vampire's armadillo) is a kind of slice of life, but extremely weird. The comedy in this series isn't for everyone and it has some cliches, but I find it funny enough. The art style is amazing, more polish than the manga, the bright colours, the aesthetics (see episode 10) and with that I can tell you how beautiful is the opening. Everything is so vivid and funny, I love the fact that Draluc is the one singing the song (Jun Fuk…

The John Show with Other Characters. The second of the only two excellent vampire shows this fall season is The Vampire Dies in No Time. An absurdist comedy sitcom about a social media conscious, fame hungry Vampire Hunter called Ronald and his shut in, dweeb, Vampire roommate Draluc who turns into sand in almost any stressful situation or to physical violence… or the sun… or garlic, he dies a lot you see. Depending on your tastes your experience may differ, but I laughed a lot watching this show. It’s jokes are well written with sharp humour, the animation is smooth and excellently done being a Madhouse production and the characters are all really funny. Vampires are seen more as oversized pests rather than terrifying creatures of the night and the show has a lot of fun making all th…

The Vampire Dies In No Time has a pretty lousy introduction. The jokes don't land and the two main characters just aren't very likable, nor is the show any interesting. However, first impressions aren't everything, and after letting it simmer for a few more episodes (or maybe it's the Stockholm Syndrome kicking in), I ended up having a blast every week with this show. The show follows your standard boke-tsukkomi routine with Ronaldo and Draluc taking on each role depending on the situation. The comedy itself can get fairly juvenile or basic but I'd be lying if I didn't at least smile most of the time. Somehow the old trick to LOUDLY YELL OUT THE JOKE works wonders for a show like this. Comedic timing is generally fine, though the show often relies too heavily on overly explaining the joke…

If there's ONLY ONE way that I can recommend this show to all of you, please watch it just for John, the adorable South American pet armadillo that's instantaneously loved by all. It should get its own spin-off story, for real. Comedy series can be hit or miss. Those that really dig you hard to the point of LMAOing, like Grand Blue or Asobi Asobase, or the latter that tries too hard to appeal to everyone, like this season's Shinka no Mi a.k.a The Fruit of Evolution. Where mangaka Itaru Bonnoki's work on Kyuuketsuki Sugu Shinu a.k.a The Vampire Dies in No Time lies at, IMO it is neither here nor there, as much as we're all happy to have an esteemed studio like Madhouse be back in the seasonal run. Such a mixed bag. Humans and vampires don't really exactly have a good reputation between ea…
