Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!

Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!

Introduction

Atsushi Nakajima has finally grown accustomed to the crazy lifestyle that comes with being part of the Armed Detective Agency. But even during peaceful periods of time, there is bound to be chaos! As Atsushi, his friends, and the agency's rival group—the Port Mafia—go about their days roaming the streets of Yokohama, there are no limits to the strange situations they are unwillingly thrown into. It's light hearted good fun. An easy watch when you don't feel like something emotionally heavy, but you want familiar characters. I had it on while I packed for a vacation, and it was great. Since it was made to be a silly side show, the art is the chibi style instead of the more "serious" art of the main show. However, that's not a reason to not watch it. It's fun seeing them be simple, and one of the episodes even showed you how to draw Dazai in this format. If you enjoy the main show, you'll definitely enjoy these silly side stories that are meant for comedic relief.

It’s honestly a breath of fresh air to finally see them being whimsical, carefree, and genuinely silly after all the depressing and emotionally suffocating events happening in the manga/anime. Despite having extraordinary abilities, moments like these remind you that they’re still just normal people trying to have fun and enjoy life. What I especially loved about the series was how it gave new perspectives and fun little details about each character; small tidbits, interactions, and slice-of-life moments that you normally wouldn’t get to see in the main story. It made the characters feel even more human and lovable beyond all the pain and chaos they constantly endure.

Expect a fun light and airy vibe watch. makes it pretty pleasantly fun to watch and I like that the art style is quite fitting for the story of the series. It's exactly what you think it'd be. But at the same time it's 50/50 chance hit or miss because it could go 2 ways: - If you're expecting a hard core driven plot; for more of that Bungou Stray Dogs Oomf! It has almost no plot. You will get bored. -If you like Komi, you might want to give it a go if you are a Bungou Stray Dog big fan ♡ (*ฅ́˘ฅ̀*) .

honestly, this anime is the only thing that has brought me joy during all of covid. It's very cutesy and some of the jokes are genuinely funny, though the silliness might not be for everyone. There are some moments where the interactions between characters get very serious out of nowhere and I feel that's fitting for the BSD universe. The rewatch value is also pretty high, especially if you're in need of some of that Serotonin. I do recommend watching this after finishing all 3 seasons of the anime, otherwise some jokes might not land. Also -- please watch the DUB, you won't regret it.

It's just a bunch of really silly and fun episodes focusing completely on the comedic side of Bungo Stray Dogs. It doesn't go for anything more than comedy, which makes for a really pleasant experience. I found myself laughing at many of the jokes and pretty much always was smiling while watching it. I also appreciated that, while I'm mostly familiar with just the first season, I wasn't lost while watching even though there were a couple characters I didn't recognize. It's completely non-essential to the story, but is still well worth a watch to any fan of the franchise, it's just a really enjoyable show. Even if it doesn't do anything spectacular I still had a blast watching it.

A cute chibi animation based of the spin-off gag manga by Kanaineko. I am a huge fan of Bungo Stray Dogs so this review maybe quite biased;) But I believe in order to really enjoy BSD Wan! is to have watched all seasons of the original main series. There are 12 episodes in total each being around 11 minutes each. Firstly the character designs are so adorable. We get to see people that normally don’t meet each other have interactions. We also get a better understanding of each individual’s personality’s, this makes the certain characters who normally don’t have much screen time stand out. The emotions, and chaotic energy each character prevails is delivered so well by the Japanese voice actors. There are many wholesome and memorable moments, as well a special episodes such as Chuuya and…

"Bungou Stray Dogs Wan!" definitely ended up being one of my favorite shows of this season (as it's been going so far). It's a silly show with short, fun episodes that are only about 11 minutes each. If you're already a huge fan of BSD, then this is definitely the show for you, but even if you aren't super into it, I think "Wan!" could be a good place to get more into the characters and their shenanigans. Of course, it's important to note that "Wan!" has such a different tone from the original series. It has a few serious moments here and there, but is mostly joking. If you go into the main series expecting the same thing... You will be very disappointed lol. (The main series is absolutely incredible, though! Just much more seinen). Some shorts were better than others, I'll admit. Ther…
