A decent script destroyed by bad screenplay and direction to improve the visuals. The show takes place in a fantasy future of earth where humans are powered and animals are monsters and advanced mecha tools are used to protect human civilization. Animation - 8/10 This is what the hype of the show is about. Fights and overall visuals are great. Screenplay - 5/10 This is the weakest part. The show keeps suffering from plot holes, plot nerfs, plot armor as needed to drag the fight or end the fight. The basic concept which starts the sci-fi fantasy show is flawed and inconsistent in the show. The power leveling is inconsistent. The rules, politics literally change on whim of director to drag some arcs or end some quicker. Monsters are inconsistent. Characters - 5/10 The 1 extra mark is onl…

Tunshi Xingkong is a high-octane space drama packed with action. It's far from being perfect, but insanely fun to watch. This review is written after binging 143 episodes in just 2 to 3 days. I've decided to leave the review here instead of on the latest season since those who have yet to watch it are more likely to land on this page. Animation Quality: 6/10 Animation quality reminds me of the Final Fantasy movies from 2000s, which is not the best if you compare it to current standards, but far from being unwatchable. Action scenes are particularly well made and choreographed, which is important because there's action in almost every single episode. Romance: ? Romance is close to non-existence. Female lead plays very little part in driving the story forward. Absolutely zero harem, whic…

This was the first 3D Donghua I personally liked, but this might be a hard sell for a lot of people. I still think it's worth giving at least a try to see if you're into it. But don't go in with big expectations. I want to touch a little on future seasons, so this review reveals what you can expect later on without going to any plot details. -- Visually, I think the artstyle is inconsistent. Some environments look way too empty & unnatural. At times it's like the characters are driving through barbie land with a couple of plastic trees on a plastic ground. Even texture quality is inconsistent. Animations are very stiff, and the combat sequences are not that well made. It's especially bad when the main character fights beasts for the first time. You won't even see the sword making conta…

This show is amazing! . This is a cultivation story set in a dystopian sci-fi, not something I originally thought I would like, but I did! The story is engaging from the start and Luo Feng is a very interesting hero. Sometimes I question his choices and he seems to lack forethought and caution when it comes to making decisions, and this lack of foresight sometimes makes Luo Feng seem a little immature, however, he never fails to impress! One thing I will say about the story is that it moves really well. I have no background knowledge of the novel, but I know it is quite extensive. They don't really have a lot of time to let the show unfold slowly so it moves really quickly, but I find it also keeps me busy as I never get bored. The character is excellent, although I feel that Luo Feng's…

This show is incredible! I couldn't help comparing it with Douluo Dalu as I first found out about this show from the promo at the end of one of Douluo Dalu's episodes. The way the stories are presented are both similar. It's a cultivation story set in a dystopian sci-fi setting, not something I thought I would like initially, but I love it! The story is engaging from the very beginning and Luo Feng is such a compelling hero. Sometimes I question his choices and he seems to lack some forethought and cautiouness when it comes to making decisions, and this lack of foresight sometimes makes Luo Feng seem a little immature, however, he never fails to impress! One thing I will say about the story is that it moves very fast espcially in season 1. I don't have any background knowledge of the nov…

Swallowed Star Review Overview Swallowed Star is a Chinese Donghua set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian metropolis where the outside world has crumbled as a result of the RR virus, capable of mutating the organisms on earth into man eating beasts. These beasts are scheming and territorial so humanity's plan of action was a modified superhuman army of Warriors and Spirit Masters. Story Luo Feng, a high school student with passion and strength always wanting to be a warrior but couldn't due to financial struggles proves himself worthy of taking the warrior-to-be test and finds his true talent.…
