Gerishy

Terrible. High scores seem driven more by nostalgia and the long wait than by the movie’s actual quality. Being able to see a beloved anime again after two years does not excuse how poorly this adaptation turned out. The film fails to capture what made the original work engaging, resulting in a shallow and disappointing experience. Even viewers familiar with the anime and manga may find it difficult to stay invested, as the pacing and execution quickly fall apart. The animation is acceptable, but nothing memorable. The story, however, is a clear step backward compared to the original, lacking impact and coherence. Overall, this movie is hard to recommend.

The villains in this movie all have a point. They were all victims of the ruling class (royalty, nobility) who killed innocent people close to them, like family, friends, and partners. They all tried to change, reform, and revolutionize the kingdom to eliminate class differences, prejudices, poverty, and discrimination, and they all fell victim to betrayal, punishment, imprisonment, and condemnation. Just like in the series, the heroes need motivation to fight against these villains and maintain the power structures. This is where Black Clover fails miserably. All the antagonists are portrayed as uncontrolled monsters who want to destroy everything, as terrorists, without any judgment of what is right or wrong, but only an absolute desire for revenge at any cost. It's a reactionary fanta…

1st of all it's not canon. The story doesn't convey any message or anything nor does it have a theme. It just feels like a very long side story mixed with what if. Secondly the villains don't have any good points. their motive might be good but even they have to know that what they're doing is just pure bulls**t. And lastly the captains are completely useless like what the actual f**k. And the new recruits can do all of this stuff but the captains are just there for supporting them instead of then being the head of the attack. It doesn't make any sense why would the captains will go fight the small minion while the new recruits go and fight the big boss. It's just still lot convenience that's all. Overall this is just a OVA for those who wanted to watch more black Clover. The only good si…

No spoilers! O boy, this was one hot mess. I loved the TV series but just like a lot of other anime movies, I was considering stopping midway. Let me explain. Let's start with the positive things. The animation was great! The creators seem to have put a lot of work into this movie and it's sure to say that it payed off. Of course it can't be compared to something like the Demon Slayer animation but it is great compared to the fights and the dialog scenes in the TV series. There is a lot less still animated scenes and alot more movement, special effects and contrast. This is the reason I rated this movie a 6 and not a 5. The TV series didn't have great animation but it did have some good points that seemed to be missing in the movie. As a viewer, I couldn't care less about the random anta…

The story and pacing are what ruined it for me. It's so generic I felt nothing while watching it. All that was happening was flashing colors and the most by the books story. I loved black clover and was excited about this movie, but it was so bad I could barely watch it. The story is just a plot you've seen a million times. There's nothing special about this. This movie is worthless and never justifies its existence. All it does is flashy fight scenes with no reason for them. Very predictable shonen plot. Nothing about this movie is good. A horrible experience. For me I do not recommend, but anyone is open to like this movie.

Black clover was one of my favorite anime and this movie was so disappointing.🤦🏿‍♂️ The anticipation I had for this movie was killing me only to end up watching it and killing my mood. Everything felt rushed. It was so hype in the beginning and i was up at my seat and then slowly but surely plot armor kicks in. It feels like the villains are villains for the sake of it and with no real purpose. I seriously hope when the show comes back that it is not this bad. I love this anime so much and this movie made me so sad.

As a fan of simple animes I don't always require top of the bill in everything. Thus Black Clover was also one of my favorite "easy to watch"-animes. However, this has nothing more to do with Black Clover than a simple fan-made highlight clip on YouTube. The one thing it does decent is the only thing that's shown for 110 minutes of TV. There is basically no plot besides "just because". No storytelling, no character development, bare-ass explanations for the absolute abuse of powers. It has nothing to do with the manga. It does not build on the story. It's two hours of my life that have been wasted on nothing. This might honestly be one of the worst things I'll watch this year.

I don't like this series. So please, don't listen to me! Ok, if you still here, you have to know that this is the umpteenth time I have given this anime a chance: To deepen their narrative, to not be a carbon-copy of other titles, to not lazily use other's anime tropes, to explain their magic system, to be their own identity. But they refused to do all of that! And instead patting themselves on the back, saying: "What if, this time, we do the concept of Hokages resurrection from Naruto?" The power scaling is all over the place. The root of the main problems makes no sense. The magic system still operated on conveniences. And what a way to kill a character that is supposed to be this big, important figure in the world of the story: By quadrupling them, making them cartoonistly antagonisti…

Terrible film, the plot was really generic and uninteresting like the 98% of the shonen movies, it was too bland, there's no substance or emotion in it and after the first hour i felt bored with this mess and i switch to another movie. The animation was good (better than the anime series) but thats the only good thing of this movie. The soundtrack is not bad, but i was forgettable. I don't recommended or anyone who loves watching movies and even if you are a Black Clover fan, you don't miss nothing skipping this high budget filler of 1 hour and 50 minutes called Black Clover Mahou Tei no Ken

I recently saw this completely uninteresting film in the Black Clover franchise. You may watch it even if you haven't seen Black Clover because there is no storyline in the original, and this movie is no different. If you're unfamiliar with black clover, it's a tiny pot manga with poor sales amid serializing in the mighty Shonen jump. But let's get back to the movie. Technically, it's a lousy film with poor art direction; the compositing in several sequences is so bad that you can't identify what's going on. The first half's battle choreography is atrocious. Although it improves somewhat in the second half. It features some good animation highlights, particularly at the finale, as well as insert songs that elevate the scenes. When it comes to the antagonist. He's terribly written, and I'v…

Eh, it was OK. I did find the high quality, 144 FPS (had to change my monitor refresh rate from 120 to 144 Hz) visuals to be.. interesting. Honestly, didn't see the point, since it looked like a low quality JRPG with 3D visuals than a anime show, but whatever, not a big deal. The issue is with the whole premise, and the fact that after episode 170 of the series, like thousand years ago, they released a movie that doesn't reference the series and is disjointed completely to the point that it makes no sense watching it after the series ended (at-least after EP170). Characters are pre-170, with nothing new happening with them. They are doing what they were doing before, no development, no improvement. You can say Asta did better, but did he? His fight in last few episodes of the actual ser…

Story: 2/10 Animation: 8/10 Time: 2/10 (2 hour movie but u can finish it in 15-20 minute without losing anything) Soundtrack: 6/10 Fights: 3/10 Talkings: -1/10 (my eyes and ears are bleeding) (It is one of the biggest reason why I skipped too many scenes.) Characters: 3/10 Overall: 4/10 Probably it is the worst anime movie I have ever seen. Bad story, annoying screams, meaningless talks in war. Only Mereoleona's fight gave me something. I finished movie by skipping scenes and finish it in about 25 minute and I didnt miss/lose anything. Totally waste of time, I wish I couldnt watch that, sorry for my 25 minute. This movie is not effecting story line so I recommend do not watch it.

I don't know if it's just because I develop my maturity as I age but the whole point behind Asta's motivation and aspiration to be the Wizard King makes no sense. Asta's desiree for the kingdom to reach a state of equality wherein people would look at each other without prejudices and he is gonna do so by proving to anyone that even as a plebian with little magical powers or in his case (no magic at all) can be the strongest magic knight with excessive grit to work on it. When he is a one-in-a-million case to his world where he does not have magic yet possesses a demon that grants him the ability to negate pretty much everything that the highest order of power stands for which portrays the fact that he is not eligible of proving a point. HE IS SPECIAL that is why he will become the Wizard…

Best Anime movie of 2023. 10/10 ganna re-watch multiple times. Everything gets 5 stars. Hypest I've ever been. Black Clover with Budget is unstoppable. Story is simple, Ex wizard king wanted to destroy the Kingdom, So he got locked up. He got free, now he's trying to Kingdom again. This time he has 3 more Ex Wizard Kings, They're tough, They're stealing peoples mana, But the gang surpassed their limits and beat the hell outta them. Black Clover doesn't waste time with a complicated story we aren't here for that, Explanations can come later. We just wanna see action and we do!!! Their Action is top tier, Black Clover's Choreography is always good, Fights are never just punchy-punchy, everything from twists to Combo spells occur, love that stuff. Did I mention the animation is top tier? Be…

I don't write reviews but I felt compelled this time. As a fan of the anime and manga , I feel underwhelmed. The animation was a significant improvement from the anime and......that's it! The music and sound are nothing to write home about. The movie starts with a battle and ends with one. The battles are the movie's plot and the movie's plot is its battles. Even a parody anime like One Punch Man has a deeper and more complicated plot. All 4 of the villains have the same motivation, goals and pretty much the same backstory. There is no depth to them. Coming to the fights, they were all over the place with characters shooting huge spells left and right ,more like a brawl than actually thrilling fights which I love the anime for. Not a single memorable moment among all the flashy battles whi…

Black Clover has never truly delivered when it comes to animation, but when Perriot has great scheduling and some amazing animators! They can produce a 10/10 masterpiece like this, I truly hope more people join Black Clover after this so the anime can return, thank you Tabata! You will definitely find it fun and enjoyable, the characters interact so well; specifically Asta and Conrad, what a way to end it too! The art style too fits this more effects centric animation, it’s beautiful. Story 8/10 Characters 10/10 OST 10/10 Action 10/10 Ending 10/10 SURPASS YOUR LIMITS☘️🔥 Is the story unique? If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up? Do you think the art style is fitting for the story? Were the characters well-rounded? Did they have flaws and str…

After 2 years of waiting we really did Finally Win!! - Art & Animation 10/10 - Story 9/10 - MAGIC AND BATTLES 10/10 Black Clover Returns with a story set inbetween the time skip and before the events of the spade kingdom Arc! Honestly its forsure worth a watch i can not believe how good black clover is given time and dedication by Perriot and i only pray the anime returns with somewhat close to this level no studio can match Perriot at there PEAK! Story wise i really did wish more backstory was given to the 4 Majour Villians of the story instead of it all being included in Volume 23.5 which will most likley never get an english release sad times. All in all BLACK CLOVER IS BACK BABY BEST NEW GEN MOVIE!

One of the highlights of the film was the impressive visual effects and animation. The battle scenes were dynamic, and the depiction of magical powers was visually captivating. The character development was also strong in the film. The determination and resolve shown by the main character, Asta, made him more likable and intriguing. Similarly, the side characters had their own stories and interesting magical abilities, adding depth to the overall experience. However, I felt that the storytelling in the film lacked in certain aspects. It could have benefited from more depth and detail to ensure a smoother progression of events. Additionally, providing further explanation for the motivations or intentions of certain characters could have made the film more comprehensible. Overall, Black C…

A truly wonderful way to execute a movie that isn't Canon Animation - 8.5/10 Sound Design - 8/10 Plot - 6/10 As short as possible ill just say if you're a Black Clover fan then you will surely love this movie! If you aren't, well you may be dissatisfied with it. The Animation was beautiful, compared to what fans of Black Clover are used to this surely exceeded my expectation. However, there were definitely some inconsistencies in the Animation. Stuff like when the camera is panning around Asta in one scene the quality absolutely tanked. Other scenes would have astonishing backgrounds. The sound design was a little inconsistent. Stuff like rock breaking and Yuno getting tossed around reminded me of One Piece sound effects while others (such as Julius or Asta's fight scenes) had really…

Over-Thinker

Finally, it's here! After a long wait of two years, it will continue where it left off. Black Clover is one of the anime series that, at first, you will think, "It is a very long-running anime. I'm outta here." But by any chance or mistake, if you start to watch it, you will get hooked on it, and you will not know when you have completed it. After completing it, you will say, "Nah, I was wrong. It ain't a long-running anime." Then this movie will feel like "a walk in the park." I'm so happy that I got to watch it, and my wait was not in vain. Before we proceed more, Asta, "What's with those muscles you got there? What were you doing these past two years? But your voice is still annoying. Don't worry; I can bear it. If I bore it through the whole series, then how can I not?" Story contin…
