AniWorthGundam Breaker: Battlogue

Introduction
After intense fighting, the Gunpla Battle U.S. Championship enters its final round. Here, the figure of a certain fighter appears.
A few months later Misa Satsukino, building a new Gunpla in the Ayato Shopping Street, seems to be in a worse mood than usual. As an outlet for her unfocused anger, she sets her completed Gunpla in a simulator and enters battle, but the Gunpla is suddenly restrained.
On the eve of the huge GB Festa event, the fates of the Gunpla Fighters are at a critical juncture.

This was a fun 30 minutes (6 episodes at about 5 min each without the outro). As someone that is caught up on the UC timeline and has seen every non builders or SD series of Gundam, I felt very rewarded that I could identify what every mobile suite was from or based off of. There was forsure so much passion put into this little series, but its a niche of a niche and hard to recommend. If you just want to watch some fancy looking mechs fight its also not bad for a little 30 min. If this was built on it could have been so much more. I enjoyed it at least. And wow I really enjoyed some of these custom builds like the ASW-G-08-4X4 Gundam Barbataurus was a treat.

*mild spoilers for Gundam Breaker: Battlogue*
Gunpla anime have always been advertisements at heart. They're akin to the likes of Yugioh and Bakugan where shounen plots are created over the vehicle of selling cool new products to kids and nerds. For Yugioh and Cardfight Vanguard, it's trading cards. For Bakugan, it's small, transformable marble things with cards. For Gunpla Builders Beginning G, the Build Fighters and Build Divers continuities, and now Gundam Breaker Battlogue, it's the plastic model kits.
GBB is a little different than the rest. While the aforementioned Gunpla titles were fun shounen tournament romps, VR conflicts, and whatever the hell Re:Rise did, it was all in the name of selling plamo. GBB not only does that, but is also tying into the Gundam Breaker game series. No…

In essence this is a short anime series that serves as a advert for the Gundam Breaker Mobile game (and the gunpla models that Bandai created for this series, afterall it is Bandai the master of mecha model) which is available.
The story is simple like one YouTube comment quote "A salty player turns to cheating in win the game" and the very short quest to resolving using the magic of friendship. And then you have gundams (or gunpla to be precise) flying around, blasting beams all over the screen.
Art style is your typical Sunrise quality, not wowing but satisfying enough to pursuade to consider buying a box of gunpla models level stuff.
An overall alright short series that won't cost you more than half of an episode of time, particularly good when you are waiting for your instant cup n…

For once the Build series returned to it's roots. Instead of convoluted and tacky antagonists with PTSD protagonists, or asking the audience to question AI sentience, it's just fun action schlock. Though it is a sequel to the videogames Gundam Breaker 3 and Gundam Breaker Mobile, outside of the mobile tie-in events there is not much needed to understand in the plot. Considering at most it is the length of two full episodes, it does a decent enough job in terms of progressing from one moment to another. There's nothing deep or meaningful about this show, and it's good that they didn't make the attempt. If you like mecha fights with high-quality animation this can fit the bill. Anything else won't be here. Personally, I'm completely done with Build shows trying to be high stakes and deep, so…
