First of all dayum, second of all god dayumm.
I was in a choke hold watching this.
The last two episodes? Best i have seen in my entire life.
Mignon flabbergasted us at the end.
They started releasing the manga aswell, so heaven do exist.
My only problem would be that its short. I would have liked it being a bit more long, like a normal anime length-wise w 20 mins per episode. They could probably pull it off.
I would have loved if we could learn more about Young's past, that felt like a bit left out in my opinion.
If you are into vampires too, give it a try, u wont regret it. Hyperventilating rn thinking about it ngl.

It's only ~60 mins total, so at the very least it's not much time investment (really should've been cut together as a movie rather than episodes).
Most of the last episode is merely a tacked-on gay hentai sex scene which adds nothing to the story beyond over-indulgently dragging out and making overly explicit what the prior episode's ending already better indicated... Frankly it's there at detriment to the story which is already over, so I'd suggest skipping the final episode if you don't enjoy gay porn because it serves no purpose beyond that.
The premise is extremely cliched, pretty much imagine the most cliched boxing story and vampire-human romance, stick them together and you'll have guessed the entire series.
The beginning was a big red flag because they skip having any romantic bu…

premise: beforehand, i knew nothing about mignon but that it is one of the most acclaimed bl around.
i walked in just to watch something horny, maybe aesthetically pleasing. i did NOT expect the freight train that hit me.
even if we were just speaking about the quality of the animations it would be a masterpiece. from the boxing fights to the fluidity of everything, to the way mignon’s muscles are hypnotic to watch moving. or about the utterly pretty palettes, with the strong blue/red tints contrasts.
the way the cinematography was not just a support but part of the story itself was wonderful. the framings, the camera angles, some sequences that truly kept one glued to the screen. the final scenes of ep.10 are NOT something i was ready to witness. and the music, the music! it did not ju…

This review is biased. I am a gay man and I like seeing other gay men. The romance could have been built up bette plot-wise and I'm not the biggest fan of how the character's faces look (purely preference I know), but alltogether the animation style is gorgeous and they know when to really pull out the big guns, and when the animation can be more relaxed with less money thrown in.
I appreciate the lack of sexual violence despite the physical violence that is common given the mc is a boxer. You may be disappointed if you are looking for some grand messages or deep commentary on anything, or even past pretty shallow romance stuff but it does feel like you're there with these characters- it was pretty immersive. We don't necessarily need their particular story to be super deep and complex,…

At first I thought it is a movie, then I found out it is a series of 12 eps .. a series where every ep has about 4,5 minutes 😂 last one is 8, go figure, but you miss out on the ride.
I am not familiar with the genre so I will not comment on the originality. I liked the poster, I also liked the trailer. And I liked the movie/series/whatever it is. The synthwave music and vibe was great. Animation/Art is nice, has its own style, not always perfect but enough to not disturb from the story and mood. It is very good. I liked the compositions of frames, they had to work with eps so short.
Story is .. a bit naive but that is not a fault. The whole thing is dramatic as a teenage fever dream. Hence the naivity too. But it is quiet watchable and enjoyable. Both protagonist are broken on the oppo…

This show was waaaay too short but I fuckin' loved it! <3 If you are into BL, you like vampire stories and you're desperate for some hot and spicy content, you shouldn't miss out this one.
Overall the story and it's plot are kept quite simple. Due to the limit of 5-10 minues per episode there is not a lot of room for super innovative ideas. Why it's still worth watching it?
+ You can't say bad stuff about the art style. It's decent.
+ Especially the spicy scenes were well animated and voiced. The character movement felt natural.
+ The protagonists are adults and also look like such. (It's sad enough that I added this point but there's too much weird stuff going around)

If I said I enjoyed this out loud to my peers I'd actually die from embarrassment I'm so sorry fujosisters I'd rather fujoshit in my hands and clap
Honestly the premise of mignon is so good and I hope nobody's already butchering it to death in character.ai because if so please just sit down and watch a show before trying to insert yourself into it babes xx
Both of these characters are a little mentally unstable (yaoi box number one ticked) have a twink:six pack ratio (yaoi box number two ticked) and have one of them being obsessed with the other (yaoi box number three ticked) jokes aside it ain't that bad of a story and I'm glad it turned out and ended the way it did because I'm not signing up for more toxic ass fucking relationships
Also why is the animation so good? The colours are…

Mignon is not a terrible series, by all means. It's quite unique from a lot of other aeni out there, and honestly one of the best-directed aeni I've watched. Despite being an aesthetically pleasing show, Mignon isn't all that great to watch unless you're a fujoshi. I'm not a fujoshi, but I have dabbled in a few BL shows. The BL genre truly has a lot of good things to offer, but Mignon isn't one of them to prioritize.
Mignon's strengths are in its nice soundtrack and aesthetic. It's not entirely focused on sex and actually has a plot. Throughout the show, the consistent jazzy and "late night city vibed" OST truly captured the setting nicely. The soundtrack is probably the best part of the show. Every episode is around 4-6 minutes, and a lot of things happen in each episode. It's quickly pa…

This one kind of came out of left field. I was expecting a cheesy Korean BL drama which I could half enjoy and half laugh at. What I got was an incredibly dense story line set over one of the best examples of atmosphere building I've ever seen in an anime. The romantic tension felt entirely right when it was supposed to, and too far when it was supposed to be too far for comfort. It is indeed cheesily BL at times (EP12) but I don't mind that so much when there's such a banging soundtrack and atmosphere. It's kind of tough to get at what I mean, but there's this really deep 80's synthwave vibe to this show, and the music just constantly slaps. The camera shots are gorgeous and the cinematography is top notch. I recommend this anime to anyone who can stomach BL and likes really good atmosphe…

This story is about two guys, neither of whom know how to behave. Some of that is explainable by context and their pasts, but still, it's bizarre how they interact with people and with each other. The animation on the other hand has a Wacky-Waving-Inflatable-Arm-Flailing-Tube-Man quality, particularly with Mignon, who regularly just folds in half. The episodes are very short, and there's only 12 of them, so the story isn't particularly nuanced, nor do any of the side characters get much attention. The funniest part was Mignon being portrayed as some giant, then finding out he's just 6'2. Not really sure where the other reviewers are getting "AMAZING" or "INNOVATIVE" from. It was fine, I guess, but there's not really anything of substance save for the 'transformation', or rather, the decisi…

I will brave the Fujoshi hate and deliver a more unbiased review on this anime. For the record I am not familiar with Korean anime, but have read quite a bit of their manhwa... of the BL smut variety.
I read the words 'vampire' and 'boys love' under information and was immediately intrigued. I was soon slapped in the face with disappointment. I feel that there's such a desperation for LGBTQ+ romance that the genre has become over-saturated with cliched, mediocre, immature and rather unhealthy relationship depictions. MAL describes this as erotica, its not, its smut. This anime is a cut and paste of many BL smut manhwa plots. If I'd known this going in I may have been a little less critical, after all the hentai genre is not exactly award-winning. Which begs the question: why does this ani…

It's an amazing piece of work, I wish the story was at least twice as long, if not more! The premise is very interesting, two outcasts finding each other in the least probable of places. You wouldn't think another vampire story would bring anything new to the table, but somehow it felt fresh and unique, and I really wish we got to see more of it - what happened earlier, Doc's and Mignon's backstories, how they first met, but also what happened after the ending. I am so so curious about this world, I want more!
Also, the way the entire story is drawn is a masterpiece. You can feel the stuffy atmosphere of the club, the emptiness of the city at night, the timelessness of Doc's flat being a patchwork of all his past lives... It is beautifully done, the transformation scene got me shaking, i…

I wish there was more of this series, each episode is short but it was kind of nice for my attention span. I have rewatched this show 3 times because of the art style. At first I didn’t know how to feel about it, but it’s so so good. There is a transformation scene and it felt so cinematic, the way they did the visuals was so nice to look at. I love the way the characters look, and I love the way they sound. I haven’t seen too many boxing animes, but this one definitely had a twist. If you like Boxing, Vampires, Romance, steamy scenes, Drama, and especially a Bl, then this show is for you. Finally all I’m going to say without spoiling is that, it’s definitely steamy so if you aren’t into sexual themes, this anime isn’t for you.

This Anime is a stunning piece of work, if you love moody, BL and vague world building, this is the anime for you. I will be honest this was so good it got me back into anime after not watching for a good 10 years.
The Art style fits beautifully, the backgrounds are amazing and guides the mood so much. The Characters are drawn so elegantly. The fights help tell the story, they might not be perfect or the best but that is so not what you are here for.
The plot is amazing - so well done I was expecting one thing and I got another, so much of the story is really told by mood not actual dialogue or action. Its amazing how they show what a character is feeling using a shot and just the background music . Oh the Background Music - so timed just right it fits so well.

TW: Blood, sex, violence, fighting
Mignon is a very short BL anime, the episodes range from 4 to 8 minutes but a lot happens during this time. The story progressed quickly and is easy to follow and understand. The animation is very nice and smooth, and I love the character designs! The characters are pretty interesting and I wish we knew a bit more about them and their origins but I'm sure there are some fan theories out there. As well as the characters are very likeable and add to the story. Also, the colours! The colours are amazing and very aesthetic-looking as they weren't too overpowering but added to the scenes and helped portray the emotions of the characters. Additionally, the sound design was pretty nice too, very realistic and crisp!
The last episode! Woah! Very passionate (do…

Simply INNOVATIVE!!
The mix between a vampire and a boxer was phenomenal, the couple has opposite characteristics, Mignon, in addition to being very cute, is very extroverted while the doctor is more reserved.
If you're not accustomed to BL stories, it's a good work to start watching, it's very calm and the plot keeps us hooked.
It's no wonder that the best is saved for last and that's exactly what happened in the BEST LOVE LOVE SCENE I've ever seen in my life, a lot of attraction and passion emanated from these two ^^
The couple ends happily and a new journey takes place in Mignon's life eheheh
WATCH IT'S VERY GOOD

Oh my goodness gracious me. Saw the youtube trailer years ago and wasn't even sure it was ever going to be released. Happened upon it this week. My good god, this anime has an amazing premise - vampire doctor & boxer??! Interesting, unique and gorgeous scenery and art style, GREAT music - synth and jazz? Hell yeah - plus - MY GOD - that sex scene??
Not much makes me blush but wow, yes, this sure did.
I think the story was really unique, especially among the genre - and I loved that sort of sci-fi, slight apocalypse vibe? while still having the traditional vampire character... Lots to love about this series, really happy I found it again.
Great fun,
LOVED IT!

The relationship between humans and vampires is one of literature's most lasting and notorious ones, and Mignon explores it in an imaginative, superbly written, intriguing, and engaging tale. In this anime, two characters from two distinct stories come together, and they must learn to both comfort one another while also filling in the gaps left by people from their own parallel realities and their own personal issues. While also emphasizing themes like self-worth, discovering inner power inside oneself, adversity, and the capacity to move ahead from past events. The color selections and color schemes us…

Mignon is simply AMAZING, and you ABSOLUTELY should try it!
ABJ did a great job again! They're the same studio that produced Hyperventilation, and now Mignon, who have an beautiful animation, ofc in some points its quite strange, most of the times when have a difficult perspective, but even with some errors, its so incredible what they did! The music, the atmosphere, everything makes me fall in love with this anime since the beginning.
The story is a good and simple, the characters don't have a big development, but i fell in love with them, mainly with Mignon who have a BIG Charisma! Everything is worth in here, and even with some lower points, its so enjoyable that doesn't bother you.
Anyway, give a try on this, its beautiful and really short one! If you need a place to see, you can find…
