Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion

Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion

Introduction

When, after her sudden death, Rinko Hanasaki is reborn as Raeliana McMillan, she is not sure whether to curse her luck. Raeliana was a minor character in a novel Rinko read, and as the eldest daughter of a nouveau-riche baron, she led a carefree life until her unfortunate demise at the hands of her fiancé, Lord Francis Brooks. To avoid her destined fate, Raeliana is determined to end her engagement with Francis. However, when Francis refuses to break things off, Raeliana decides to seek help from someone of higher standing and approaches Duke Noah Wynknight—the novel's male protagonist. Using her knowledge of the plot, Raeliana captures the duke's interest by proposing a deal: she will not expose his secrets if Noah agrees to act as her fiancé. Little does she know that getting involved with a duke who only shows his true colors around her may lead to more than she bargained for. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I really liked watching this anime. I liked the male MC especially. The art was pretty nice too. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the female MCs uncaring attitude towards the male MC. I’m sure that will get better next season though. Speaking of that, I’m definitely looking forward to watching the next season when it comes out. They made it clear that the story is definitely not finished yet with this season. I want to see actual romance progress between the male and female MCs so that it’s not so one-sided anymore. I am also interested in seeing how the story will progress overall. Overall, a really solid anime.

Overall, this story doesn't do much different than you'd expect of these type of isekai. She must change her game character's fate, and due to that different parts of the story change. There was some interesting points in how she got isekai'd and the ramifications of taking over another person's body, but my biggest problem with this show was the male lead. They rally push the "bad boy" angle here, and the main character being a "tsundere". She pretend to not actually like him, and he constantly does bad things to her in the vein of just "messing" with here, but it's okay since he's hot. Anyway, the plot did get interesting enough by the end I would probably watch another season, but it's probably not getting one. The relationship with the male lead was just too unbearable for me to reall…

Let's start by saying the manhwa was better. Now you may be wondering, "How could it be better if they followed the source material exactly in the adaptation?" Well, for one, the sound made the pacing so unbelievably awkward. At several points, I noticed moments of actual silence or sound effects (i.e. footsteps) with no background music. More than that, the background music didn't really match the show much at all. On a personal note, I wasn't a fan of the VA for Noah, but that's really neither here nor there. Also, compared to the manhwa, everything just felt awfully slow. Overall, it's not a bad introduction to the source material, but as a big fan, I just wish it was executed better.

Hi hello and welcome to yet another Isekai story! There are so SO many of these types of stories being released these days, and they range widely in quality from the absolute trashiest-trash to stories that betray expectations in the best ways. This one I'd say falls somewhere in the middle, and was a rather cute and a fun watch. It has quite a novel premise (heheh) that kept me interested in the overarching story. Though I'd say the story leans more towards being a wholesome slice of life rather then being very dramatic. To keep this spoiler free I'll just say that I really enjoyed the moments when the world diverges from the novel that the main character keeps refering to throughout the story. Now where this show really shines is in it's two main leads who have a fun dynamic. Here I'l…

Why Raeliana ended up at the duke's mansion actually surprised me for the best. The production was pretty poor and I expected an average story, but it was quite intriguing. The characters are interesting, the plot is good and the suspense of what's going to come doesn't let you stray too far from it and keeps you hooked. MC isn't completely useless but it's not perfect either, she's just a normal girl trying to survive. Chemistry between Raeliana and Noah is good (which for some reason seems to be an issue on some romance I've seen lately. I mean! Romance anime! Chemistry should be basic!) Honestly wish they would make more seasons of it. It's not an incredible romance or anything, but it fulfill it's purpose and does it better than most "average romance" anime that has been popping up…

If there's romance i'm there for sure!!!! This show had me hooked from episode one i really enjoyed the story line and yes, it's not the most spectacular or the greatest romance but it definitely scratched my shoujo itch. I want to first talk about the character design, i really really really liked it especially the hair colour and eye colour matching i never noticed how well yellow eyes and black hair go together very very nicely. Every episode was its own story which i really enjoyed, no dragged-out scenes or what not. I also enjoyed the main leads dynamic, the teasing, the sass, the chemistry (not enough of it for me would have loved more scenes with them interacting but yeah) and the animation was lovely too. And yeah, what else is there to say if you like pretty characters, romance, a…

I need a second season of this! The isekai genre is used in a similar way like e.g. I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss. So if you don't like isekai or romance, this might not be for you. Otherwise, give it a try! What makes this version so enjoyable is our protagonist Raliana. Raeliana is a proactive character. She isn't miss perfect (stereotypical overly apollogetic, polite and passive) like your usual anime heroin. Rae isn't afraid to use strategy or sharp comments to get what she wants, and her character is appreciated by the characters you'd root for. Even though this anime wants to be light, feelgood entertainment (and is great at it!), it deems mentioning that there is a slight "she's so amazing" powertrip. Rae is awesome, but she is adored by almost every likeable ch…

In my personal opinion, this anime was okay- not exceptional but not horrible. The animation looked quite rough at times. Especially in scenes where the camera was zoomed far out. Otherwise, I admire the lighting and the background track. The characters do follow a lot of character archetypes (Adam as the quiet one, Noah as the intelligent mastermind, Vivian as the villainess, etcera). It follows a reincarnation plot and takes place in what I like to call 'Faux-Europe'. It looks like a European country and has its own unique lore in small tidbits. I would recommend this anime as a past time.. none of these characters are remarkable enough to leave a lasting impression. Overall an astonishingly mediocre anime.

Pretty unsatisfying ending... Thought itd have a conclusion but it didnt. I liked Taylor and thats about it. I wish they showed Beatrice more but they didnt Is the story unique? If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up? It was very predictable, I enjoyed it till it got super fucking boring. Wish they explored the plot more Do you think the art style is fitting for the story? Yeah, the style was nice but the animation wasnt eye catching Were the characters well-rounded? Did they have flaws and strengths, or were they unusually strong/smart/stupid? They were pretty forgettable Did the characters react to situations and events in a realistic way? I guess so?

Imagine watching a great political intrigue show, like LotGH, but every second episode it would switch to being a generic high-school romcom. That is kind of how this show feels to watch: I was blown away by the complexity of the negotiation scenes, and the main character must use her special abilities with skill and nuance, instead of being completely overpowered. It felt great to watch her be so smart about everything, unlike so many other isekai MCs. But then came the romance scenes, where she showed no more intelligence than an oblivious high school romance MC, which felt incredibly frustrating. The show tries to make the most predictable romance plot threads feel like great twists. Its setting also raised eyebrows for me — there is no reason it needs any kind of fantasy elements, let…

I think it is a sweet story and I liked the protagonist for being level-headed and pretty realistic. The love interest isn't super domineering or creepy, and he treats the MC well! I read some of the source material before and was worried that some parts would adapt awkwardly, but it turned out good. It won't blow anything out of the water, but people who are looking for a nice calm romance with adult characters may like it. The part I have mixed feelings about- I watched the English dub, and I think the sound direction kind of detracted from the experience. The voice acting itself is quite good, but for some reason all the conversations seem like they're taking place very calmly in a small room. The bgm (while itself good and interestingly medieval) is also often slow, so combined there'…

For me, this is a wonderful example of an isekai (that's directed towards women) that doesn't feel overly childish and predictable. The story is very well-written, and Raeliana, the main character, is always actively trying to change her fate instead of being simply blown by the wind like most isekai characters. This is one the best romance stories I have ever read/watched and I've seen way too many. Some say it's a weird mix between politics and romance but that just makes it more interesting to me. That being said, I've read the manhwa before, so for me, this anime was more like a quick reminder of some of the events. I was disappointed with how they just quickly brushed through everything that had happened in the original. In the manhwa, we can really feel their relationship growing as…

The first few episodes are Very Good. But very misleading, it gave the impression we'd be getting a political thriller about a isekai victim dealing with the intrigue and political landscape of a shifting aristocracy, with some hotties to boot. This is not what you get. After the first main threat is dealt with, it rapidly shifts to a much more bland and unexplored Fantasy setting which you cant even properly enjoy cause your stuck with the worst person to explore it through, with a few interesting characters and plot threads dropped altogether to boot. It was a huge disappointment. Read "Lout of the Counts Family" instead, its what Realiana wishes it could be.

Do I want to be nice, do I want to be mean? If I wanted to be nice, I probably would have quit the series after the second episode - so I want to pick a fight. "Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu" is a series that, at first glance, would not appeal to me. A woman is reborn as the noblewoman Raeliana, but she knows that she is a doomed character from a novel she read in her last life. So she uses her knowledge to ally herself with the male protagonist Noah, rather blackmail him into saving her from the murderer. But how could it be otherwise, she seems to have 'ruined' more in the process than she could have ever foreseen.... I have to admit that I've become a fan of stories like this over the past few months. Even though "Raeliana: Why She Became the Duke's Betrothed" is almost too maw…

This romance isekai show is underrated fr fr. While there's not much going for it, it's not the best in anything, it 's good at everything. I got very beautiful animation, with good characters, story, progression, and directing This anime is also unexpectedly somewhat a bit political too. With the politics of nations, noble, rankings, and marriage. The character and story is what get this show going. The male and female protag is VERY likeable and enjoyable to watch This show downside are that it is a slow pacing show and build so much suspense that somebody might not like it. The show also is more serious than it is fun. Ratings: (the rating is done comparatively to the same genre and style) Animation 9/10, Story 8/10, Character 9/10, Pacing 8/10, OST 8/10, enjoyability 10/10

The show is a reverse harem isekai with nothing innovative, just a work whose events have no “soul”, it seems that the director does not know how to take advantage of the moment when the scene is happening. But even with flaws, it is a remarkable work, not for its quality, but for having won an adaptation, because in a market so crowded with isekais, to be able to win an adaptation even being a webtoon manhwa with a genre of reverse harem, which is not so seen like that if we compare with the standard harems. The idea itself is not bad. The protagonist Raeliana is killed and transported to the world of the novel she reads, becomes a character who will die soon and has to survive. It’s very simple, but with a huge space to interact. The protagonist could use the best weapon she has, which…

I'm sooo disappointed! :'-) As one of my first manhaws I was a litte hypted getting to know the anime-version. Well - I shouldn't have. Yes it is one of the old (and in this gengre quite) familiar isekai-storys and the plot is pretty much predictable - but the execution of this wanna-be romance is just bad. Despite giving their very best, the voice-actors couldn't rescue this butchery. Best part here were the opening an the ending theme. But thats about it. The plot between the female lead, who is originally reaborn as the disposable side-character, and the male lead is a little bit back-and-forth. But in the original (belive it or not) it realy makes a lot more sense. Not as stiff as in the anime, the art does way better convey the chemestry, problems and narrative between these two and…

Your eyes are not fooling you if that's the synopsis you just read. It's an all familiar trend we've seen in many anime in recent years - reborn into a fantasy world, a protagonist trying to avoid fate, and isekai tropes that feeds on its modern popularity. Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu (The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion) is another one of these adaptations that subscribes to the most recent trend, but we have to ask ourselves if this is one was really needed. To my surprise, the source material actually came from a web novel rather than the typical light novels or manga. However, I did approach this series with a sense of caution given the studio's track record, and let's just say, web novel adaptations haven't exactly set the bar high in recent years. Typhoon…

Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion is not just the best manwha adaptation of all time, but one of the best romance stories in recent years and a must watch. As manwha has continued to grow in popularity outside of Korea, it’s led to several big series getting anime adaptations. Pretty much all of them have been subpar or downright bad. So when I found out that this series was adapted from a manwha, I had pretty low expectations. Especially considering the studio behind it being a smaller one. I could not have underrated this show any more. It is an absolute gem of a show with great interactions, amazing voice acting, beautiful art and a really original story. So, what makes a good romance? The best romances to me are those that have two characters who have their own unique quir…

Isekai stories from Japan...well, most of them, are quite boring to be honest, with the exception of a few (i.e. Mushoku Tensei, Re:Zero etc.) that are literate standouts. But what if I told you that works that come from other countries, like South Korea, have a cesspool of Isekai stories like it, and while they suck ass too, just like their Japanese counterparts, they have an exception to the same rule as well? There are manhwa source materials like it, and one of them goes by the name of Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu a.k.a The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion, which comes from Kakao Webtoon novelist Milcha and illustrator WHALE. In case you missed out on what was going on within the last few years, there was a time when both Naver Webtoons and Crunchyroll partne…
