This is a very enjoyable show. It's a real hidden gem with an original story and unique characters. As a huge fan of gags, parody, humor, comedy, and funny shows, I really love it – Wanchu!
Unfortunately, it has two drawbacks:
- First, it's an old anime from 1998 (not their fault).
- Second, it's very, very short.
Luckily, there's a compilation available on YouTube.
And of course, the story ends with a lot of unresolved mysteries.

This anime is gold, pretty much. It stars slow, but once you get in the first arc you will be overwhelmed with the enjoyment of these nonsensical jokes, stereotypical characters and whatever else the writers of this show wanted.

Character: 10/10
In my opinion there was only one or two bad arcs but they didn't change my opinion about the show because there is so much good stuff. Most of the story arcs are well-handed with much fun ,randomness that drives the plot and the intensity of the most emotional and stupid moments.
Art: 10/10
Sound: 10/10
The anime is pleasing in its design and its visual effects. It has some really great soundtrack for every type of scene, fitting perfectly.

Well, this is one of the most insane shows I've ever seen, the humour is similar to danshi koukousei no nichijou, cromartie high school and Gintama. The episodes are short but intense. This one is really random and I loved it.
It's a comedy, nothing else nothing more. If you wanna laught, this could be for you. The only way to describe it is random, you need to watch it to understand it... or watch the shows I named.
Art: insane. It can look like shit, it can look average, it can look detailed af or very serious. This show plays a lot with it and it really pays off.
Animation: the same as the art, changing all the time. It can have barely any movement or a very fluid punch to the face with all kinds of details and splashing blood all over the place.

The greatest comedy anime I have ever watched. Full of gags, randomness, and weird scenes all the time.
I won't say much, but here is my review.
First of all the anime is funny even when the narrator speaks. Even the first screen that appears in each episode is priceless. the fun factor is huge in every moment. The characters are at least superb. Each and everyone is so distinct and colorful, yet so simplistic. The main char, Masaru is the weirdest/craziest character I have ever seen in an anime, and I dont think there is any character still that can surpass him. This anime is a comedy gem, that's all there is to it.
The story centers around a freshman high scholar looking to make friendships, and then he meets the main character Masaru, the sexy commando club leader, and it all starts from there.
Masaru is hilarious, has very peculiar personality and no common sense. He is the main attraction in the story, and the center of all weird situations in the school. He will make you laugh in many ways you're not used to. The art and sound aren't anything special , but the fun and laughs you will get out of every episode is something you can't argue about. This type of comedy is indeed a fine art nobody payed much attention to, and it's more than enough to make it rank amongst the top anime comedies ever made.

Sexy Commando Gaiden is an anime that purely focuses on comedy. If one were looking for a laugh or merely something light-hearted and short, this show will tick all the right boxes. Whilst each episode only lasts 10 minutes, the amount of laughs garnered during that short time simply cannot be measured!

Without a doubt, the anime’s lack of a coherent storyline is what contributes to its comedic shine. Sexy Commando Gaiden’s humour is heavily reliant on random slapstick and eccentric twists and hence, this style of comedy relays effectively off its weak (or lack of) storyline. In fact, it would come as no surprise if one were to say that the humour defines the story (or vice versa).

Well, I don’t know how to make this story make any sense to you. You just have to watch it, which I strongly recommend you do. There is humor in pretty much all levels whether gag, otaku reference, slap stick, puns, almost everything. It’ll keep you laughing. But if I were to compare the humor with anything, I say Freakazoid is definitely a good foundation of what to expect but times it by 100, and you get this anime. The episodes are less than 10 minutes long since it’s based on a short manga that’s as long as a Sunday strip so pacing in regards to length isn’t a problem.
