The 2nd season of reborn as the 7th prince isn't as strong as the first one and starts off rather dull with the prince literally going to heaven to fight an angel to learn divine magic, which sounds crazy but it quickly ends despite the hype.
Then it goes into a normal Shonen arc with the main villain being shown and deaths occurring etc
The season has an episode where a muscular pig that can't die tells his tragic backstory of how he wants to be eaten and that alone is peak
But aside from the plot twist and some slow moments, its not a bad season but it lacks the power of the first in a lot of aspects
There is a heavy focus on divine magic which ruins the cool elemental and dark magic type focus from previous season.
The new bad guy is prett…

This is not a bad season. Actually, I would consider it a very good one if its prequel was not phenomenal for me. I give this season 6/10 while I gave the first season 8/10.
When compared to the first season, this sequel falls behind in its core elements, the characters and writing quality. The characters were average and the writing was not great for the new magic. The overview is an average brawl between villains and heroes.
That being said, it’s considered a good season when you look at the animation quality, except for the last couple of episodes where things felt a bit cringy. Well, I am not that hurt since I kinda felt it would turn out like this, yet I mourn what it could have been if it could keep up the merits of the prequel.
So, if you have any expectations from the first seas…

That Time I Became the Pope So I Could Be an Idol
The first season was a huge surprise. It took the overpowered trope to a humorous extreme, came with nice character design and animation that far surpassed what shows of this caliber usually operate with. The pacing was a bit slow at the end, but the high octane battle scenes made up for it. It felt like this was a show that wore its clichés like badges of honor and did something creative with how high concept its magic got, or how ridiculous the fanservice.
Whereas this second season was a brutal letdown. The pacing went from so-so to atrocious, as the whole season is built around a slowly winding mystery that is at complete odds with the lighthearted, fast-paced humor of the show. Near the end they even attempted a One Punch Man inspir…

This season focused on a single full arc. That was good and useful for storytelling and world-building, but the downside is that if you don’t like that one event, you’ll find the whole season bad. It also removed the variety of adventures we had in the first season.
This time I’ll summarize the season through its characters without mentioning names to avoid spoilers:
The nun singer
Her role was enjoyable, and she was a central figure in this arc. She wasn’t a tragic character with a sad past; rather, she was a positive one, especially in how she faced her fear after being attacked by the main villain.
The negative point is that she didn’t actually sing it was just humming. If she had truly sung, the impact would have been stronger.
The main villain
He was mysterious, and we didn’t know…

Overall Impression
I watched the first season mostly out of curiosity and because of the things people were posting online, but contrary to my expectations, I really liked it. This second season was still enjoyable, although some things were better than season one and some things were not.
Story
Story-wise, I preferred the first season. The main antagonist of season one was a demon lord, and the confrontation with him felt dangerous and gave the story real weight and tension. In comparison, the main villain of season two does not feel nearly as threatening, which makes the overall conflict feel lighter and less impactful. Because of that, it is harder to feel the same sense of gravity this time around.
The story is pretty surface-level, and you cannot expect deep storytelling, just like…

Season 2 still has the same problems as season 1.
Excessive fan service, fan service involving a 10-year-old child with unrealistic body proportions for pedophiles. All the women have Stockholm syndrome or fetishes about the protagonist, who, I remind you, is only 10 years old!
The storyline is even more boring. Everything is predictable, nothing matters, and there is no tension.
The fights are not as good as in season 1 but remain interesting, as does the animation. It's not great art, but it works well.
The characters are still as black and white and stereotypical as ever, with generic backstories. They could have killed off one of the characters to add a little drama and stakes, but in the end, everything ends well and no one has any development or psychological depth... And I'm no…

A good season 2, that does change a bit the way the show goes on, but imho it is done pretty good.
While first season had the focus on demons a lot and on the MC going on about his life and different adventures learning magic and showing us how OP he is, meeting new people along the way, this season switches it up a bit and goes more in depth into a few of the side characters and bring the main focus on them a lot more. Also, the main enemies now are from the church.
The story still holds in terms of comedy, delivering it in a very good way that doesn't feel weird, and which also makes the scenes that would normally be pretty boring for someone that already knows a lot of the tropes really enjoyable. Ngl, the comedy and timing of it makes this anime special in my eyes. There's a single a…

The sequel to the show about magical prodigy and prince, Lloyd. He is notable for being that little boy MC with huge ladylike thighs to bait the degenerates. After mastering most elemental magic and aura breathing in Season 1, here he decides to learn divine magic. Plot-wise, this season is about him and his crew defeating a big bad who makes chimeras.
Though the scores of Season 1 and Season 2 imply otherwise, I think 2 is noticeably worse than 1. Ultimately, the first season's emphasis was humor and then character, in that order, with plot being a distant third. However, in Season 2, plot is central, with character being diluted by how much your attention is split between the now giant cast. There is humor, but it's less predominant than in the first season.
While S1 was all about get…

Ngl, I disliked Eschers song, same la la la la la....But bro, the fight scenes are awesome, you have to watch it definitely!
Other character background was good. This anime is not trash nor bad. Its actually good with some downsides. I really liked the villain's background and fight with Lloyd. The crying scenes were good and bad at the same time. And I disliked the chubby animations being shown in every episodes. Compared to other animes, this one has some nice art style and decent animations. Some crappy animes just use MS paint to draw monsters and magic arts. But this one has good things.
Also they added more anime in this anime lol. This anime just produced more animes matching with the title lmao!!!
Anyway, you should really watch the whole series before you take reviews seriously…

4/10
Season 2 was a great disappointment and had everything I loved about season 1 removed.
Season 1 had incredibly satisfying pacing, plot, character development, world building and absolutely mesmerizing fight scenes. Also the ecchi moments were just spicy enough without making you feel like you're watching hentai.
Season 2 had absolutely none of these things.
Also it's clear they cheaped out on animation. Every time that nun sings (which felt like 100 times) you were watching a slideshow, and she got WAY too much screentime. There's a lot of fight scenes or chibi animation scenes that dragged and needed to be sped up or shortened. The whole season was dragged out for only one story arc. Terrible terrible pacing.
Season 1 made anime feel fresh and truly fun again as it had everyth…

I loved season 1, and I loved season 2 as much, if not more.
Three things really stand out this season.
The first is the hymn. Ngl, whoever came up with it knows music. It hits the heart just right. It goes right to my playlist and every time I listen to it- I think a lot about life. It's amazing. Even if you don't watch the anime, please look up this song. It may change your life.
The second is the main villain Guitan. They do a beautiful job buliding his arc. He's not evil for the sake of evil. Well, I mean he is evil or does bad things, but his reason is interesting. I won't spoil it. But to me, he is the best villain this show has had so far. His motive is interesting and I give his character a solid A.
The third and best is of course- Lloyd. Our funny lil boi is back. I'll be fran…

Weaker than the first season (the pope/priest arc is really boring, honestly the pope story is probably the weakest part, it just drags on and feels repetitive). Still, I enjoyed the rest of it, especially the protagonist, who is even funnier and sillier than usual, which makes the slower moments easier to get through. I also appreciate that they at least tried to make the pope story more visually interesting ( it doesn’t fully work, but the colors and direction are nice touches)
Overall, it could have been so much better, but it’s fine as it is. A good show to marathon on a boring day, even if it doesn’t reach the same level as the first season.

The visceral thrill of expertly choreographed combat is what truly captivates me in this production. I find myself completely immersed in the kinetic energy of the sequences, where every strike, parry, and acrobatic maneuver is executed with precision and impact. It's more than just a clash of bodies; it's a dynamic visual narrative that uses motion and rhythm to convey tension, stakes, and the raw emotion of the struggle. The sound design plays a crucial role here as well, enhancing the satisfying thud of a blow or the shing of drawn steel, making the action feel immediate and grounded. This meticulous attention to detail transforms simple fighting into an exhilarating, pulse-pounding spectacle that leaves me breathless.
What elevates these scenes beyond mere spectacle is the thoughtful…

Whatever anyone says that it had shota or the future characters are going towards shotafication let me tell you one thing,
" DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS SHOTAFICATION". The story buildup, music, animation are all uppar of any can do with the backstory fits perfectly to each character and developement in its own way which is in gradually required in any Anime.
This story is going in a most best manner as one could think of like the beauty to tell the story is an art too right. Shifting from season 1 to season 2 the leap which it takes make the most difference whether the release after such a break it can build up the hype or not.
I love it and one thing for LLoyd we do love overpowered characters but only some SHOTA which suits this my boy best.

A Visual Feast with Enchanting Magic
The story follows a familiar and genric premise but still managed to attract fans with his top notch detailed animation, fluid moments and characters that make every spell and fight a joy to watch .
I agree plot felt sluggish at some points but it's deniable because from the 1st ep it was clear that a lot of care and attention went into crafting each scene , making the magical world alive .
I liked how mc is invested in learning and crafting magic spells instead of just imagining random formulas from previous life . You may find negative comments due to a shotacon vibe from MC so, pls don't mind it .

7th Prince is back at it again
Very much like Season 1 this understands its mission perfectly, it has a huge respect for the source material down to the gags, references and derpy animations, it's visual gags are straight from the manga, and considering many studios just don't bother with such things and do the bare minimum and are happy to churn out an average generic series, this really helps 7th Prince stand out.
Very much in keeping with the first season this season is just a lot of fun, it is focused on being as tight as possible with its comedy, the dialogue and the visual gags, they all land.
It should also be noted that budget on this is high, the visuals are impressive, the animation is very high quality, fight scenes are very well done, and even the 'money shots' where they are…

This season did not really have the same feel as S1 and was overall disappointing for me.
Rather than having several "short and sweet" arcs like S1, this season focused on just a single arc which was very drawn out and concluded with an unsatisfying and extremely generic villain. That might have been alright if he was defeated quickly but it was very slow paced - the whole thing could have been condensed into three or four episodes. The main focus of the arc was a mostly unimaginative religious sect (a thinly veiled caricature of Christianity). Lloyd learning the holy magic seemed to be his only character development. Holy magic in itself is very generic compared to what was showcased in S1 (such as Qi and object enchantment). The main point of the first season, featuring Lloyd's experien…

A rather unnoticed sequel, but one that's just as good as the rest of the season.
The 7th Prince returned to do what it does best, which is be an entertaining action-packed anime with magic. The anime is everything it needs to be entertaining, but it still tries not to neglect the story. Due to the simplicity of the story, I was afraid it was going to rush the story and include two arcs in this season. Fortunately, it was a passing fear, because when I saw that it was respecting the time and space, all I could do was hop on this ship and wait to reach the other port. The narrative is well-crafted so that all the story points can be understood. With each arc, more characters are added to the secondary cast, so it's important to take the time to make clear what each one's role will be, both…

I'd be lying if I said I preferred this over Season 1. While I do think this season was fun and interesting, the things that I loved about Season 1 weren't here, and I feel that impacted how I viewed this season.
Majority of this season was of the side characters, which I actually do like and care about but I feel it was a *little* too much. The latter half of this season was barely focused on our MC until the end (which tbh I expected).
Animation as always is good though, so I have no complaints on that front.
Maybe I'll pick up the manga as I don't have high hopes we'll get a season 3 but who knows (I was surprised it even got a s2 lol).
