Just to recap my journey around this:
I ended up watching the 1st season totally randomly, enjoyed it so hard I consumed the 2nd one in haze, then I NEEDED more, I've read the entire web novel and I loved it to death.
So where am I now? I've been heavily anticipating this, 3rd season is making me relive the old me before reading the web novel, it felt fresh from the very start, it stood strong on its own and I still cannot get enough of it.
You may not like this, you may try to justify your hate for it in many ways, but it's heavily misunderstood for the wrong reasons, this is a journey about healing from trauma, overcoming your problems, getting another shot at your life. It heavily resonates with me, I get emotional over this kind of stuff, but you don't have to be a broken piece to enjo…

Season 3 was pretty bland and mediocre for most of its runtime. The more I watch Mushoku Tensei, the more I understand how overrated it actually is. A lot of the season felt uneventful, with the writing struggling to make its conflicts or character moments as compelling as they should have been. The series has an interesting world and plenty of material to work with, yet so much of it ends up feeling strangely underwhelming.
Thankfully, the last three episodes completely turned things around. They finally brought the tension, stakes and emotional weight that had been missing for most of the season, and they were easily the strongest part of it. In fact, those episodes did enough to genuinely save the season from being a complete disappointment.
Still, it's hard to overlook how inconsiste…

I've rated the previous seasons pretty highly because Mushoku Tensei did the isekai formula exceptionally well. The world felt beautiful, the pacing was elegant, and it genuinely gave you that feeling of wanting to jump into this world yourself.
But mahn… after learning more about Rudeus' past, my perspective on the character changed a lot.
Apparently, in his previous life, Rudeus was watching a naked video of his own niece when he got kicked out and beaten by his family. So basically… bro was a pedophile before reincarnation.💀
And knowing that completely changes how I look at some of his actions in this world. His relationship with Roxy (technically not underaged, but man she is a tiny character) and Eris especially becomes extremely uncomfortable for me. You can argue that this is sup…

Why not tackle it earnestly when you had the chance?
I don't usually write reviews, or even rate things. It takes a toll on me, so I generally don't bother. But after all this shallow and illusory handling of human relationships—and family matters in particular—I felt the urge to write something. I don't even really care about the perversion. This is not that kind of review. It's not the most tactful thing, but I know plenty of things in life that aren't tactful or moral at all, yet still feel genuine and interesting. I can live with or even be very contend about it if they at least attempt to handle it somewhat authentically and honestly.
Much more importantly than that, this season nearly wipes away the greatest aspects of the series, especially what matters most to the series itself:…

Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Season 3 follows Rudeus Greyrat as he tries to lead a quiet life after marrying Roxy Migurdia, who turned into his second wife with the permission of Sylphiette Greyrat, his principal wife. In parallel to this, Eris Boreas Greyrat is training harder to reunite with the main character and declare her feelings for him.
Many claim that this season is the best of the entire anime, but unfortunately it didn’t click for me. Do you want to know why? Keep reading this review for more info.

This show always had stunning visuals and great character designs, however I noticed a drop in quality here: inconsistencies in some scenes; weird angles; and the way Eris was animated in the outro. Regardless, Studio Bind is still doing an incredible j…

Mushoku Tensei Season 4: Great start, boring middle, interesting yet confusing end.
Mushoku Tensei Season 4 starts out really strong with Eris being the main focus for the first two episodes. We get to learn more about different sword styles, the Sword God, and what Eris has been doing since leaving Rudeus. This is a great start to the season because it gives the viewer a fresh perspective on the vast world of Mushoku Tensei and lets the viewer settle into the world once again. The animation looks great and the new characters are fun and have great chemistry with Eris.
The middle portion of the season is where the show starts to lose me. The first few episodes are just setup and a bunch of slice-of-life moments that honestly just bored me. Episodes 3, 4, and 5 barely set up anything to m…

Should you watch this show? Wait, you reached season 3 and you wonder that now? To not make this unnecessary long, yes, yes you should.
The story is picking up from season 2 and manages to improve dramatically, by introducing new interesting characters (both friends and foes), amazing lore, big stakes and more. It starts slow with slice of life moments that makes you wonder when will things heat up again. Then it all starts... and it never stops, it just keeps going harder and harder. Especially close to the end of the season it becomes really painful to watch the suffering of the characters, but absolutely worth it. The studio poured in a lot of love in the adaptation and it shows, cheers to them.
Also the world-building, something this series excels at, just gets expanded immensely bu…

Abysmal fiction. Worst season of the show by far. Why? Well, turning established characters like Roxy and Sylphie into Rudeus’ stay at home wives who just do whatever to make him happy and put themselves second constantly is extremely misogynistic and cringe.
Then you have the whole Nanahoshi plot line, of all the people in this story, no one deserves to be happy more than her, but she’s doomed to suffer from mana disease while a dude who skipped his own parent’s funeral to goon to CSAM and even when coming to another world continued to hold pedophilic tendencies is allowed to be happy with multiple wives, wealth, broken magic, etc? I guess bro.
Then the whole Eris deal. So she was billed as the main event this season and we really only got a few scenes of her outside them first couple…

After another season, you start to understand better where the story intends to go, and you realize that *Mushoku Tensei* is, in fact, a masterpiece.
After this season, some people started saying that the story has become centered around the protagonist's harem. However, I believe that this perspective overlooks an important point: this is the first time Rudeus truly has a family that he cares about. What we're seeing isn't simply the construction of a harem, but the development of relationships and bonds that will be important for everything that comes next.
*Mushoku Tensei* is one of the few series that has actually made me enjoy watching a harem, precisely because its development is extremely well executed. The story makes you care about each of the characters. Each heroine has her ow…

Mushoku Tensei Season 3 Part 1 was an interesting addition to the series to say the least. Without a doubt better than season 1 but not quite sure it was better than season 2, although there's still a 2nd half to be aired so we'll see where it goes I guess.
Art Style/Character Designs - 9.5
Animation - 8.5
Themes - 6
Characters - 4
Story - 6
Fantasy/World/Magic - 9
Music/OP/ED - 6
Enjoyment - 5.5 As always the art and character designs are beautiful. I've always loved the visuals for Mushoku Tensei and this season definitely didn't disappoint in that aspect. The animation was great as well, again it's always looked pretty good throughout the series in my opinion and that didn't change this season.
The fantasy elements are amazing as well. The world building is great, the magic system is…

This was, by far, the best season of Mushoku Tensei for me.
First, I want to talk about Studio Bind. Once again, the studio did an amazing job and somehow managed to maintain the level of consistency they have had throughout the series. This season, however, the cinematography especially stood out to me. Some episodes genuinely felt like I was watching a movie. I also really enjoyed the animation during the fight.
Even though this season did not have that many fights, I still found it incredibly entertaining. In my opinion, it was easily better than the previous seasons. A season does not need more fights to be better, and Mushoku Tensei demonstrated that perfectly this time.
The anime adaptation of Turning Point 4 was, in one word, perfect. I can easily say that, for me, it even surpas…

The first 11 episodes were boring-ass slice of life that barely kept me interested. Then, FINALLY, we get two genuinely exciting episodes with actual stakes, tension, and a genuinely interesting direction. For a moment, I thought the season was actually going somewhere.
And then comes the final episode. LOL.
All that buildup, all that tension, all that hype... for WHAT? Everything suddenly feels fine again, the pacing falls apart, and we're right back to the same boring-ass slice of life. No satisfying payoff, no proper resolution, just an underwhelming, open-ended conclusion.
Imagine sitting through 11 episodes of boredom, finally getting invested in the last stretch, only for the finale to completely kill that momentum.
14 episodes, 2 genuinely good ones, and an ending that makes the ent…

Time travel has entered the chat, and it is absolute Cinema.
Bear with me because I am going somewhere with this. Recently, my usually agnostic and wholesome podcast feed suggested an episode where some gangbanger had spent his entire teen and Adult life in prison, committing more crime when he got out, and now is some internet celebrity pastor tatted up head to toe yapping about his entire life story and conversion to Christianity. The most striking plot points in his x to doubt story for me, were when he followed his Pastor's advice to reconnect with, forgive, and apologize to his violently abusive and highly useless father, against all his own feelings about the matter. He was met by an admission of guilt and regret he did not expect, and his Father later converted to Christianity on f…

This is probably a really good example of why something like good conservative art can’t exist or is at least always in conflict with itself. You cannot hold regressive views on any subject without that perspective eventually running counter to the quality of your work, not just because you are spreading harmful ideas, but, more fundamentally, because things like misogyny hinder your ability for character writing and basic storytelling. This is the poison that has, over the seasons, run so deep that, whatever gender a character might be, for them to exist in a setting largely inhabited by stereotypes and fetish girls made with the sole purpose of providing a wish-fulfilment fantasy to the sexually insecure, draws into focus that they are, in fact, characters. A real human being would have…

I like Mushoku Tensei, but Season III disappointed me on many levels
So many people hate on this because they talk about how problematic it is, or how problematic a character Rudeus is, but they always ignore the fact that this is the entire point. Redeus was never supposed to be likable and a great guy from the start, he was supposed to be deeply flawed and then as things progress he grows as a character, he seeks redemption through his actions, through trying to become a better person. But no, people love to virtue signal over this to such a performative level that it is tiring.
So let's talk Mushoku Tensei, Season 1 was extremely strong, it adopted a slow life feel as it introduced the characters and world building, Eris then came in swinging and we then saw the pace step up as the ti…

For something that I have consistently rated as a 10/10 masterpiece, Season 3 has made me rethink and revise my ratings for all of Season 2 and likely the story as a whole going forward. The story started off strong, and is likely only going to be worse from now until its conclusion.
TL;DR
The harem exists for the plot, not for the characters inside or outside it, and it ruins the overall story because it dulls the characters' personalities.
Harems are boring, overdone, and unrealistic. This series has always been fairly grounded in *emotional* realism (note: magic fantasy world), and I have always praised its efforts. Turning Point 4 has flipped what was a slice-of-life story on its head completely. I would even go so far as to say this season has one of the best plot points in many fac…

A masterpiece nothing else. most of the haters didn't even watch the series they just go on Twitter and see hate and start to hate the series. This is the only anime that makes me like I'm experiencing anime for the first time again. when ever this series airs I wait for the next episode for the week. No other anime i care for this much. I highly recommend this series..
No matter what the haters say. Give it a try and get through the first few very uncomfortable episodes and this series is gold. Don't miss out on a series like this. and ignore the review bombers. Just see the likes on crunchyroll and compare with other series and you will get an idea..

Most anime fall into a familiar split. Some are good. Some are bad. Some make you laugh, some scare you, some just kill an evening.
Mushoku Tensei is doing a different job. This show doesn’t only entertain you or move you. It actually gets into your chest.
I’ll be honest: Season 3 Part 1 — and yes, a second cour is already lined up — did not clear the bar the first two seasons set. Too many episodes felt like they were idling. Filler, if we’re being blunt.
Mind you, I know why it’s structured that way. Studio Bind is adapting the light novel with almost religious fidelity, and that quiet stretch isn’t an accident on the page: it’s the calm you’re supposed to live in before Turning Point 4 detonates. Even so — and I know this isn’t the popular take among novel readers — I still think an a…

Mushoku Tensei is an interesting case of what narrative faithfulness even means to the general audience. It's no surprise that most anime productions are usually adaptations of a source, whether it be a manga, light novel, or even visual novels. In fact, it happens so often that you could basically call it a retelling of the original story, just in another medium that allows voice acting, visual movement, and music to be a part of it. Therefore, it would make sense for a good number of the anime community to be labeled purists, who prefer any anime adaptations to be as closely identical to the source material as they can, including the same pacing, story, and characters. In other words, the directors matter very little compared to the scale of trying to appease thousands of awaiting fans o…

Only a few episodes have aired but peak is back . For me Mushoku Tensei second season as a whole was lacking something and that feeling is gone with the new season . I love the humor, Action, Plot of this anime , though as a reminder it still lacks the completeness of season 1 , it's great that they've been able to comeback .
The first episode shows the story of Eris and her training but still misses the point to why she left and what was her thoughts at that time but it's understandable since every line from the loght novel can't be adopted. Then with the usual characters we get to see the marriage of Elinalise and Cliff , i was't expecting this outcome from the couple and the last episode with sara actually was the cherry on top .
