Flat out, it's a fun show, that's the shortest way to describe it. If the CGI makes you uncomfortable, give it a chance, it'll grow on you, pretty quickly too.
Now, I will be going out of order and more in a train of thought.
The humor is good, made me chuckle with the absurd humor, and is executed well to take advantage of the chicken concept. It definitely knows what it's doing and leans into the absurdity of it all.
The characters, while not new in their archetype, is still fresh in the fact that they are chickens and they act like chickens. Keiji is cool but also hilarious when his "chicken bone" comes up. Piyoko is the most sweet and adorable little thing, I love her so much GAH!!. Elizabeth has her moments and so does Keisuke. And the other reoccurring side c…

THE show of decade
in all honesty it started out as a good laugh and legit had me HOOKED, the fact that a chicken is out there fighting town destroying demons, cracking women and aura farming is just too funny.
But as the story went on it just became boring.
animation is decent even tho there's a lot of CGI tho it isn't really the main point of this piece of raw materialized aura.
Keiji has LOADS of aura for a fucking chicken and I'm serious on this one, bros inspirational. Would be a fun watch with someone to laugh with for a few hours.
But on solo it gets boring quickly, maybe I just didn't take it seriously for, obvious reasons. It's alright in generic sense but still basic.
I'll deadass treat chickens in the village with respect.

In Mexico and several other Latin American countries, "Rooster Fighter" (2026) enjoyed a strong initial reception. It certainly helped that its creator, Shu Sakuratani, visited the region during CCXP. Whether that was the decision of his agent or his publicist, it was undoubtedly a smart marketing move.
Most of the praise I've seen focuses on the character designs, the artwork, and the series' sense of humor. However, very few people seem willing to discuss what actually happens in each episode or the quality of the writing. And that's where the real problems begin.
"Rooster Fighter" clearly wants to be an epic story. It aims to deliver meaningful character arcs and emotionally satisfying conclusions, but it rarely succeeds. The way it handles its themes is overly childish and, more ofte…

I was excited when I heard that Rooster Fighter was getting an anime. I have read the first few chapters of the manga, and though it was an absurd title, I thought it would lend itself well as an action anime. The anime came and the first few episodes were sourced for several viral memes, like that kid offering the rooster KFC or that chicken risqué NTR scene. The visuals were great. The animation and choreography were well produced. The monsters, obviously CGI, were appropriately unsettling and grotesque.
However, several episodes in, especially at the midpoint, I realized that the overall story was mid. The action was good, but the story was mediocre, about standard for a shonen action anime. That was where it suffered, in fact, I recalled that I only read the first dozen chapters of th…

Rooster Fighter is one of those series that completely embraces its ridiculous premise and somehow makes it work. The idea of a rooster traveling across Japan and battling giant monsters sounds like a joke, but the series commits to the concept so seriously that it becomes genuinely entertaining.
I love the main character Keiji. He carries himself like a classic shonen protagonist with a deep voice and a wanderer like attitude with one liners and iconic quotes despite being, well, a rooster. The contrast between the absurd premise and the serious storytelling creates a lot of the charm. The action scenes are fun, and the artwork is pretty good.
That said tho, the novelty of the premise does a lot of the heavy lifting. Once the initial shock value wears off, the story can feel a bit lacki…

When I saw a show about a rooster fighter I wanted to watch the first episode to just have fun. It was really silly and the first 3 episodes I would say were pretty boring. I'll try not to spoil anything but the show is about a really tuff rooster Keiji who fights demons to save the world. He is joined by Pyoko a little chick who likes him a lot and Elizabeth (basically his ex). Later there are some more major characters introduced aswell. In the first 2 episodes there was some chicken sex which I thought was really funny but really weird but overall the fight scenes are pretty good, Keiji shows great character development by going from selfish to a hero that saves everyone. The plot in the last few episodes was amazing and the fight scenes were peak. I can't wait for the next episodes. Is…

I definitely have some thoughts on this as a guy who read the manga and would put Roaster Fighters manga among one of the best
I really enjoyed this, Since I only caught up with the manga anyways after seeing the trailer for this thing and thought it was hilarious lol, But after seeing how beautiful some of the panels look in it's manga series, The half 3D/2D animation style they did for this makes me really mixed on it, Because unlike something like Beastars where it's mostly 3d this anime goes 50/50 not really committing to one animation style over the other and it can make the 3d kind of stand out in a bad way
That aside, I believe this was good and definitely worth a watch if you don't want to read it's manga, The first few episodes especially are absolutely incredible
My ranking fo…

The chicken anime that was a hit in Latin America—the creator probably intended to make absurd and ridiculous scenes at the beginning of the series, but unconsciously created a show that Latin culture identifies with. Apparently, we Latinos are absurd...
Well, that's my theory, BUT aside from a few jokes, absurd things, and the Latin love for fighting chickens, the anime isn't all that great. The story isn't particularly good... the lore isn't especially clever, and it has plot holes in every episode...
It's one of those comfort anime to watch without thinking too much. It's about watching it without expecting anything masterful... it's not bad... it's just there, starting slowly, resolving conflicts regularly with the power of the script and a Latin humor th…

Last year, we had cats that play a parody of Night of the Living Dead. Here, we have chickens that play a bit like a parody of Dragon Ball Z. Come on, you're probably thinking the same with how this show plays out in both story and action. This is already absurd enough for how this showcases roosters fighting against demons that the jokes write themselves. Even I participated in making certain jokes. Guess my mind can still handle dirty jokes minus fart jokes. Whatever tickles your rooster, amirite? Le sigh, I'll see myself out after this review.
Mutant demons began to appear in Japan as the story goes. Some are helpful as the show displays. Some bring harm. How they are born is by humans suffering from extreme emotional distress or unresolved trauma. Don't worry. That has all been explain…

That's it for the anime "Rooster Fighter". This series is absurdly stupid, and it's actually quite watchable. It revolves around our main character, a rooster, who fights demons (there are exceptions regarding the demons themselves) in order to find the main villain who kidnapped his sister.
As for the visuals themselves, which are partly in 2D and 3D, they look okay, and the music is a masterpiece.
So, as for the rating, I'd probably give it a 7/10. It's a pretty interesting anime about chickens, and it might get another season, because after the last episode, it's clear that the plot in the anime is still unfinished, etc.
