This is what animation should be - exciting, inventive, bold. It's been a long time since I've gotten such emotions from watching something like this, in a single word - breathtaking. My 1080p screen was simply blown away by the picture quality, I can't imagine how much time and effort the artists put into it. Chinese mythology is fresh and original for the Western audience, it can be turned into a mega franchise, and I sincerely wish the authors success. I want the third part to make good money at the box office not only in China but all over the world. It's hard to describe it objectively and in a structured way, I'm just trying to share my emotions. It's just incredible, Disney and Pixar should be ashamed of themselves. The Chinese dragon ate Mickey Mouse.

It's a rare case when a studio learns from its mistakes and improves every aspect of filmmaking: the story is more interesting, with a more fleshed-out world and characters, and the animation is so grandiose and complex that it not only makes the previous movie look simple but also surpasses all the animated films that came before it. The first action scene could've been a climactic battle in another film. With each big moment, Ne Zha's animation team pushes the envelope further, wisely saving the epic visuals for the finale. The new soundtrack features many solid compositions that enhance the sense of excitement and tension. Music has been lacking in the first movie, but Ne Zha 2 has set a new standard for sequels and animation in general. When you think Chinese artists have hit the ceili…

What an epic movie this was. I regret so much Star Cineplex didn't bring this to the theaters. Because this movie was a visual spectacle. Ok at 1st the CGI was a bit off-putting as many of the characters were cartoony. Clearly favoring a younger audience. But once I got used to it rest of the animation and worldbuilding was great. And the Sky Palace where the Immortals reside is the best I have seen depicted in live action or animated in any other live action Chinese TV shows or movies. In most live action the Sky Kingdom where Immortals reside fail to meet expectations. I think Ne Zha 2 perfected it.
The story is good. But to get the full emotional impact I highly recommend you see Ne Zha (the 1st move) first. You should know this is a direct sequel without any time skip.
I am impresse…

Although the story itself is quite simplistic, visually it is ambitious, sometimes to its own detriment. I get it. The story serves as a mere driving force to carry the viewer from one spectacle to the next. I am sure it was a visual treat on the big screen, and it is a shame that I watched it on my laptop. Regardless, I feel that the constant need for spectacle and the tendency to clutter each frame with grandiose sequences detract from the genuine talent of the artists who made this film possible. The third act in particular is so unbelievably cluttered that instead of inspiring awe, it simply becomes a mess. Every movement feels too smooth, and the action scenes lack charm because there is no real rhyme or reason behind the choreography. It is exhausting to sit through, with no room to…

Let me start with the good things. The animation in this movie is absolutely stunning. There's not a single scene where you'll feel like it could have looked better. Some shots are so beautiful, you might want to take a screenshot and set it as your wallpaper. The scale, ambition, and vision are huge.
The second thing I liked was the comedy. It's genuinely funny and made me laugh many times. But the placement of the comedy is a bit off. Sometimes a serious or emotional scene is suddenly interrupted by a joke, which ruins the mood. The comedy itself isn't bad, it just shows up at the wrong moments.
The story is actually pretty good, with lots of twists and betrayals. The characters are well written too. Even after the movie ends, you'll remember a lot of them, even some small demons who o…

Ne Zha 2 elevates the presentation of mythological tale to new heights. Director Yu Yang seamlessly blends entertainment with spectacular visual storytelling while expertly balancing genres.
The story follows an archetypal good vs evil structure, enhanced by strong writing and unpredictable plot twists, making it stand out despite its generic foundation and is definitely much better than the prequel. The latter half of the story unfolds through sequential action scenes. Action director Yi Su has crafted one of the most unforgettable action sequences in cinematic history. Drama is equally great, delivering stirring emotional scenes.

Nezha 2 is really special to me because I watched Nezha when I was still a little cute baby. Sure there are some immature moments that were made for kids but the fight scenes really just hit different.
This movie was a roller coaster of emotions. I didnt really know what that meant until I watched this movie. There were wholesome, sad, and epic scenes. I was crying so hard in that movie, that never happened in a while. In a while I mean 1 day. The last movie I watched that made me cry was A silent voice.
It was also pretty funny for a kids show, but this movie had the craziest plot twist of the century. Even if you are American and don't speak English, there are english sub titles.
Even though this movie isnt for everyone, it was for me. There were some boring moments in the movie but…
