Introduction
The Apotheosis Loyal Maneuver Arms—Alma—is the flagship prototype of Enji Kamisato and Suzume Yobane, two gifted researchers disillusioned by the arrogance of their peers. Although designed for combat, Alma's daily life ironically unfolds far from any battlefield, as she is fine-tuned for ordinary society. Nevertheless, within the modest household she shares with her creators-turned-parents, she learns the subtleties of being human little by little.
Meanwhile, Enji and Suzume, as self-proclaimed rivals, remain oblivious to how transparent their affection for each other truly is. Alma, observing their every exchange with methodical precision, is hardly deceived. As the pair continue their quarrels under the guise of research, Alma adapts to the rhythm of a homely life—finding comfort in the everyday shenanigans that make them a family.

Family Is Family, No Matter What
Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai is a good anime. It’s not exactly the kind of show that’s going to change your life, but it manages to be really fun, cute, and, at times, surprisingly emotional.
The story and the way it develops, with everything revolving around Alma learning how to become a real person while still being an AI, reminded me a lot of Pinocchio — just without the whole “I want to become a real child” thing. Watching Alma slowly discover feelings, relationships, and what it actually means to be part of a family is probably one of the most interesting parts of the show.
And speaking of family, I think that’s where the anime shines the most. It’s basically a genre smoothie: you’ve got sci-fi, comedy, action, a little romance, and even some dram…

I can say that Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai is a good anime to watch while relaxing. The plot is typical but fun; it has all the basic elements of this type of comedy: a monster, a ghost, a fantastical creature, an alien, and, in this case, an android doing everyday things. The dynamic between the characters works so well that you forget you're watching the same rich, over-the-top blonde, the energetic but clueless girl, and the serious but kind classmate for the umpteenth time. As always, there's little interaction with the male characters; they're mainly there to generate comedy, with the exception of our protagonists, Kamisato and Enji. The comedic format is refreshing, which prevents you from getting bored and the episodes from becoming repetitive.
The animation is very well done, w…

Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai is a wonderful, light-hearted comedy anime about two nerds "playing house" with their super-advanced WMD robot. The show follows the nonsensical daily lives of the humanoid AI, Alma, and her creators, offering viewers tons of cute and funny moments with a colorful cast of characters.
The main premise centers on two genius scientists, Enji and Suzume, who have been ostracized from the scientific community and work together to create the most advanced robot/weapon/AI in the world: Alma. Naturally, they get formally married and raise this robot like a daughter to help her AI develop. While there are mentions of romance between Enji and Suzume, don't be fooled by the tags here; there's like zero romance in the show. Instead, I'd describe it as a SoL comedy.

"Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!" is a good anime, but it doesn’t have a very refined or focused plot. The story tends to wander from episode to episode without a strong overarching direction.
Is that a bad thing? Maybe. Or maybe not. It really depends on what you personally enjoy watching.
Overall, this isn’t a bad anime by any means. However, it doesn’t have a distinct narrative focus or a clearly defined long-term goal outside of its odd “pretend family” dynamic. Some viewers may see it as disjointed and unfocused, while others will find it to be a relaxing, easygoing watch. I’m somewhere in the middle. It’s easy to sit down and enjoy, but it lacks a strong overarching plot to tie everything together.
Each episode feels like the creators thought, “What fun or unique idea can we try t…

An overall simple albeit enjoyable slice of life anime along similar lines to Spy X Family. However, unlike Spy X Family there is no overarching plot to help tie the whole experience together. Not that a slice of life needs a super in-depth story to be enjoyable but once the main cast and setting are introduced, the later episodes can feel haphazard and disjointed as random characters are introduced and subsequently dropped never to be seen again. The side characters that do stick around are fairly dull or annoying and don't hold a candle to the main cast (Alma's family,) maybe besides Alma's friend, Hanna but she doesn't get that much screen time sadly.
I kind of wish the show spent more time developing Suzume and Enji's relationship rather than the more absurdist moments like Alma fight…

So I didn't know that this anime had already concluded when I thought there was gonna be one more episode. But I guess when it comes to a lot of anime being released by the season, not everything should last very long nowadays, huh? No complaints, it's just that this anime ended abruptly. However, that won't stop me from saying that this is a comfortable anime where an advanced combat android looks up to both creators as mother and father and wanted to live a normal life. Yes, it's standard, and I couldn't help but think that this feels like a Spy x Family-esque series with its own spin on its concept. It does work for what it delivers, thankfully.
The anime centers around an advanced android with an AI that grew self-awarenes named Alma, voiced by Hika Tsukishiro, who looks up to her crea…

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family is a wholesome comedy/romance anime about two scientists developing an AI powered robot with insane capabilities that takes the form of a young child. We follow Alma as she does normal kid stuff like go to school and make friends all the while being in the body of a robot. This naturally creates a divide between her and her school-mates as Alma doesn’t always understand them which paves way for some funny shenanigans to ensue. Additionally, Alma is designed and raised by her father Kamisato Enji and her mother Yobane Suzume to be helpful to society. It’s Alma’s altruism and good-nature that get her into funny situations that the humor builds itself around. Finally, interactions with side characters (who I’ll get into later) and her parents and their relations…

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!
An illogical, dumb and wierdly wholesome anime !
Well the words I used above might seem to be not in favour of the anime but do read the last word i mentioned above again " wholesome " the anime had the first few 2-3 episodes which made me feel like ' Ok so this is a mecha/sci-fi anime but then the human emotions thing and parents daughter thing somewhere gave me " Plastic memories " vibe for some part as I thought of the fact about what will happen after the parents ( scientists ) will die but soon enough I realised nope the anime won't be going to that path, well after that the anime went kinda *BERSERK* with the wildest illogical plots " an elementry school girl who's incharge of millions of dollars worth businesses of her parents and can spend infinite…

This is best slice of life anime this season beside little miss vampire. Its a very short one as well, with only 11 episodes it does not overstay it's welcome. It's nice anime to watch for a weekend to just enjoy something wholesome for a change.
Animation and music: it's pretty standard. Animation is overall good, I didn't noticed any badly animated scenes or copy pasted environments. The music is solid, but no noteworthy tracks.
Overall: industry standard, nothing too good and nothing too bad.
Characters: Main character is Alma, she is highly sophisticated robot built by two genius scientists. Being a robot her personality is quite bland at the start, but as episodes go on she develops more and more. Following her is her father Enji and her mother Suzume, both of them genius scientist…

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! - Hey, it's RikeKoi all over again...plus an autonomous android for a kid figure?
Even as adults, I can't help but feel like there is the kid figure within us trying to concoct something that reminds us of our childhood days, and for one of those "make-believe" dreams that "the future belongs to the past," reality is ever not so keen on reminding us that it takes pangs of torture to create things that are wholly our own. In an alternate world, that's certainly the fantasy of mangaka Nanateru and his/her rather short series of Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai a.k.a. Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!, a sci-fi rom-com about an eccentric pair of scientists developing quite the AI robot of their own, unbeknownst to how the robot would treat them as its parents.
