Wash It All Away

Wash It All Away

Introduction

In the quaint seaside resort town of Atami lies Kinme Cleaning, a laundry service run by Wakana Kinme. Despite having no memory of her life before moving there, Wakana has spent the past two years quietly building a new life among the locals. She tends to garments entrusted to her with gentle hands and meticulous care, each carrying memories far more fragile than the fabric itself. Wakana becomes a familiar presence in the town as she shares small yet precious moments with everyone. The clothing she cleans tells stories of their owners' everyday lives, allowing her to safeguard their memories even as her own remain out of reach. As she continues to wash away stains both physical and psychological, her life becomes a gentle testament to the comfort found in ordinary moments—and to the idea that even without a past, she can still belong. This is yet another anime where the author didn't want to commit to anything. No matter what you go into this one expecting to find, I think you'll be disappointed in not really getting it. It's got too much fanservice and romantic subplot stuff if you just want a relaxing Slice of Life, but if you want romance, it doesn't execute it well or deliver anything. It's honestly a real problem in anime like this where they try to make it for as many audiences as possible, and want to drag it out for as long as possible so they can sell more volumes/issues/seasons. There is simultaneously too much and not enough of each element, depending on what you're looking for, that it's hard to say who would finish this and find themselves truly satisfied. If it had just committed to one thing; cur the roma…

Personal Opinion As someone who has read the manga before, if it weren't for the incredibly bland animation, I would have expected to see Kinme's process of cleaning, scrubbing, polishing, and fixing the clothes. Instead, I was met with PowerPoint slides and minimal animation, which greatly diminished the story's charm. However, the core theme "Kinme's service in preserving the clothes of people filled with memories" is presented clearly and effectively, even if it's a bit too faithful to the original (with only a few scene rearrangements and some scenes cut) It's still arranged logically and aligns with the main storyline. Credit must go to the scriptwriter, they truly carried the show. And most importantly, for those watching without reading the manga: A Little Bit of Spoil Kinme, the…

So we approach this series knowing it is a Seinen slife of life based on a manga. It is very much your standard slice of life with small mishaps around Atami which involve Kinme, many times not even about cleaning directly, but learning how to service an aging community of elders in a seaside town. She is an altruistic person full of energy, learning about a city through their clothes and other small interactions. It is absolutely on-brand for real life Japanese life and refreshing to see Kinme as someone who is older than your standard high school protagonist can actually deal with these situations. One of the themes in particular is how bath houses are a physical opening up of yourself (nudity) and a social way that Japanese learn and help about each other in such a close community. The…

From the very first episode, it’s clear what this anime is all about. It’s another in a long line of relaxing, chilled-out anime where you can unwind and just be. We follow a young woman who runs a dry cleaner’s and builds friendly relationships with her regular customers. And that’s basically all this anime is about. It’s a truly relaxing experience. Everything unfolds in a relaxing spirit; there are no conflicts, no stressful situations, or anything like that. Most of the characters know each other in some way. And it feels like a typical village or small town where everyone knows each other and helps one another. Throughout the anime, we also learn a little about the actual process of cleaning clothes—how it works, how to remove various stains, and so on. Which is something you can ac…

As usual, a truly good anime is embodied with some professional real world knowledge, This time, a rather uncommon and surprising theme of clothes cleaning. With good art and relaxing music quality, there is no reason why I would not rate this anime with a high score. I enjoyed watching the anime while learning some small things about clothes maintenance, which helps me appreciate the work professional cleaning stores are doing. But the storyline doesn't seem to have ended yet. I would love to watch second season if there is one. Completing the plot in a nice way would make it a true masterpiece.

Ill try to keep this review short as there really isnt much to talk about other than some mysteries in this season. I honestly watched this show just because it was written by the author of sankarea and was kinda suprised in the shift of genres, as most authors normally sticked to one type of genre or vibe for a second series. The show overall is pretty enjoyable, i honestly like the side characters and what they have to offer. In the beginning this show was pretty slow but it honestly helps in a way to introduce you what the MCs day to day life is like, and as the series went on we get to see her growth with the characters which shes first time meeting. I adore her relationship with Naira, its very adorable honestly, i like how the MC isnt too harch on Naira and honestly understands t…

I watched Kirei ni Shitemoraemasu ka, You can tune in and tune out, yes, it's one of those anime. You get what you asked for by reading the synopses and there is nothing more to it, no big reveal, no stakes, well almost no stakes and that is perfectly fine. The backgrounds are stunning and in my opinion alongside the soothing soundtrack the main reason to tune in. It's a Travelvlog ad in a way, you want to be there, and you kinda are. For 20 minutes you can relax, let the scenery pop in front of you and calm yourself down. The show takes potshots at a romantic subplot but ultimately doesn't go anywhere. If you've seen similar shows this is familiar to you. You WILL learn about cleaning and properly maintaining clothing articles, and some segments you can apply to your way to the washing…

I finished the first season of Wash it all away and... it's a mixed bag. On the one side, the show is a wholesome SoL anime, and on the other side, the main romance is between a grown up and a minor... Firstly, you have to be aware that this is a slice of life anime, meaning that you shouldn't expect huge plot twists, big dramas etc... But it's not an issue because this anime has a decent pace, a good number of characters is introduced, it's fun to discover them and see the everyday life of the main character, Kinme. The idea of following a mc that owns a laundry shop fits well the sol vibe, you'll learn a few tips to wash your clothes, the mc is a light headed joyful person, the episodes are rather relaxing to watch. All those cute moments and scenes make the viewer question even mo…

Very enjoyable show if you love slow life anime This type of anime is really nice to watch after working all day and just want to relax a lot of wholesome and cute moments with characters interaction it's not just that but they also showed us how to do right laundry such as different clothes need different handling, i always thought laundry only wash the clothes and fold it but this show made my realize it's not easy to wash different type of clothes I think if they're brave enough to put some romance in it and not just bait it will be perfect They always make kinme & kyu blushing when they're talking but they didn't do anything about that and just leave it without any development the fan service it's kinda stupid though ,kinme is an adult but she changed her clothes outside on a…

German text below -------------------------- “Wash It All Away” is a twelve-episode anime series that captivates viewers above all with its warm-hearted protagonist. She is drawn with such love and charm that watching her literally warms your heart. The story follows a young woman who runs a small dry cleaning shop and gradually befriends the equally endearing residents of a tourist town. Something seems to be developing between her and a young man—but of course, she isn’t quite sure of her own feelings. As early as the second episode, it’s hinted that the protagonist has no memories of the time two years ago. At first, this sounds like an intriguing mystery that keeps you watching… and watching… and watching. Unfortunately, this mystery is mentioned maybe three or four times over the c…

OCD isn't a joke even I am suffering from it . The reason to discuss this because our mc named Kineme chan is a OCD patient who can't tolerate dirty and unorderly things . Some people might find this weird and cringe but this what makes this anime good . Usually we see sol regarding fantasy , romance and other things but daily life sol aren't much popular these days. So , happy to see this . Now the reason to rate this 7 because of unnecessary tag of romance . I expected to see some adult romance but what we got is some fanservice moments for a high school kid which is absolute terrible . I strongly believe author deliberately made kineme chan thick and added bikini shots in middle of every eps , not comp0alining but this absolute ragebaiting . I think there is some past which is tragic f…

it was good... on early episodes cause it was educational but yeah since it was 12 episode anime it would naturally dried up so the goal after that was they don't know so they give this random ass story for the main girl that didnt explain throughout the series, showing her daily life, showing story to her costumers, introducing online advertising to the girl, fan service, LEADING US SUPER HARD to romantic scenes that would make us think it has potential for romance but in the end nothing happen lol, ngl main girl turn into onee-san personification mascot most of the episodes. aside from the main girl the anime is seriously lost on its own anime, idk wtheck director's thinking when making this anime. ITS WAY TOO OUT OF PLACES!, it would be better if they make this anime short episodes or…

okay the premise was intriguing cus cmon who doesn't want to watch anime about laundry? It's interesting. And yes throughout the show, they gave us tips and tricks about laundrying which can come in handy! The sceneries are beautiful, scoring was relaxing and well fitted the anime, animation kinda mid, and sometimes the graphics can be meh. But they really really really ruined the whole anime by so many unnecessary fanservice! It was a lot and so unnecessary for an anime with the focus for relaxation and finding comfort. If it was an action or romance or fantasy anime maybe u can put some fanservice to attract the viewers (which mostly male) but for an iyashikei anime that tend to heal the audience with relaxing, little conflict, slow paced story u don't need fanservice and to make it wors…

This anime had a pretty weak storyline. I can say that I had the same expression throughout the entire anime; it wasn't exciting, but it didn't bother me that much either. However, if I analyze it differently, it was somewhat educational in certain parts, since it shows us how to deal with cleaning everyday clothes. Even though it's summarized, it talks about how to treat clothes taking into account the fabric, the type of stain (in a few cases, considering how long the clothes have been dirty and what type of stain it is, which could be sweat, food, or even mold), and the age (years) of the clothes. The anime was okay to pass the time, but since there was a question left unanswered by the end regarding her memory loss after a certain point, you finish a little frustrated. So, from my poin…

A laundry slice of life anime? Well, I don’t know who could possibly be interested in such a premise but it sure is original. Made by the Sankarea author? Well, the man shows some variety at least. Anyways, yeah, a woman runs a laundry shop, and as usual when slice of life shows are centered around a very specific topic, they can be quite educational about it, since it was never explored much or at all in fiction. Besides that, more customers keep appearing throughout the show, both old and new for the main character, and she shows great concern for their clothes or other items, as they are important for the people and contain some memories in them. Or at least that should be the case but honestly, I can remember like two cases where that was actually the case, while the rest of the epi…

Don't let the dry cleaner's facade fool you; this is about discovering in which episode the protagonist will commit a crime against a minor. The first two episodes are almost too good to be true. They're everything you'd expect from the premise. A girl who does laundry gives us different tips that we can apply in real life, all with a very relaxed tone of voice. During the first few weeks of the anime's airing, I watched every episode and fell asleep. I don't mean that negatively; on the contrary, it fulfilled its role as an Iyashikei (a term of endearment for someone who likes to relax before bed). It was an anime made to be watched after a long day, after a nice bath, after dinner, but before going to sleep. It was a super atmospheric anime that you wanted to add to your weekly routine…

Are you searching for relaxing, clean, cute and sweet anime? This is the masterpiece of slice of life animes! Kinme owns a small laundry and puts her soul into cleaning things. She has a lot of customers and delivers clothes directly to their homes every day! Kimne regularly prints extremely cute posters. Kinme has a wonderful personality. I was fascinated by her from the first episode. She is reliable, friendly and very kind. She likes to clean and goes for a run every morning. And she has beautiful black hair. When she smiles she looks like sun! Of course she is not perfect and she also has her flaws. Also Kinme lost her memories two years ago, at the same time as she open her laundry, but the anime never really explains her past but it adds something mysterious. Over the course of t…

This show was really something. I started watching it expecting Ruri Rocks like show and what I got was premium doujin material. More on that later on. Animation and music: This is where the show is really strong. Animation is beautiful and coherent during the entire runtime. Music was also great. The piano tunes really brought uniqueness to the show. Overall - animation and music are really well done. No complains in this department. Characters: This is the first issue with the show. We have Kinme Wakana who on first look seems very interesting. A girl who lost all her memories and is now working as a cleaner in small town. People would expect something more of that but in the end she remains the same as she was at the start of the show - cheerful and nice local young women who does no…

**"Wash It All Away" Review** **Plot:** 5/10 **Supporting Characters:** 5.5/10 **Romance:** 4/10 **Enjoyment:** 5/10 **Introduction:** 6.1/10 **Main Characters:** 6/10 Overall, it's a decent slice-of-life show. You can watch it if you have a lot of time on your hands, but you won't be missing out on much if you choose not to. It's just like any average slice-of-life series. The story isn’t really unique and feels quite predictable most of the time, but if you already like this genre, you might still enjoy it a bit. The art style fits the calm slice-of-life vibe and looks clean, nothing special but works fine. The characters are okay, they have some basic strengths and flaws, but they’re not very deep or memorable. Their reactions feel normal sometimes, but overall still a bit generic. I…

Wash it all away is yet another frustrating watch because on one hand, I love Kinme, she’s gorgeous and one of the most loveable protagonists of the season. I also enjoyed learning the ins and outs of running a cleaning business. Whether it was the actual cleaning process itself, the machinery, the business end of things, it opened my eyes and gave me a new appreciation for all the local cleaning shops. Then it all goes out the window when this show insists on forcing fanservice and romance with a minor. It’s such a weird dichotomy because 50 percent of an episode will be the most wholesome and educational stuff, then you have 10 minutes spent on Kinme ass shots, pit shots, random bouncing titties and Kinme trying to groom a high school kid. For some of you that’s going to be a “yay sign m…
