SO stupid. The stupidest antagonist ive seen to this day, and I cannot believe their attempt at redeeming him was THAT bs. I kept wanting it to be good coz the premise is so promising, the start was so promising but they lost the plot and spent the last 6 episodes on stupid ass fight scenes. ALSO can I mention, the fights make no sense. You cannot just,,, HUH. Dont waste your time on this. Or do, idc. It will just leave you angry. The 2/10 is for the openings and endings, theyre pretty good and this show doesnt deserve them. The first review im writing just because I hated it THAT much.

KAIJU VS HUMANS
Plot and idea might not be original but it has a charm definitely. The combination of meccha with alien theme always rocks and attracts specific genre lovers . Now the main problem about series is weak personality protagonist . He lacks resolve and hesitate at critical moments basically not having enough murderous aura . Being a pacifist isn't bad forgiving evil is injustice to innocents and lost lives .
The main humanoid kaiju is definitely inspired from Aizen character even the way of talking is iconic . The cgi is done superbly even the expressions and rage moments looks cool . Studio kai making some good shit back to back . The second season is already in production , hope they improve mistakes in it . Till then bye bye .

Snowball hits the ground running. It has not masterful, but solid 3D animation for both its character animation and mecha-kaiju fights. The tandem plot threads of the mystery of the kaiju and Tetsuo’s desire to make friends running together in this post-apocalyptic setting really pull you in. It made me really disappointed in myself for not watching more mecha anime.
Then we get to the first villain arc. VIERDE seem like interesting antagonists at first, creating another complicating faction to build out the world. Sagami is such a selfish prick, you love to hate him. They gear up for the attack on Mishima Mall…
…and suddenly the dialogue speeds up and the animation slows down. Standing in the snow as the minutes tick forward, we get these super slow-paced fights broken up by multiple fl…

Snowball Earth is definitely channeling some of the old boy-and-his-robot super robo vibes. There's elements in here that remind me of things like Mazinger. But while getting in the robot isn't as terrifying as it might be in Evangelion or Gundam, it doesn't seem to be doing Tetsuo a lot of good either.
He's a super, super awkward kid who's entire identity revolves around being the Savior. In being useful. In being a weapon. And we see him seriously struggling with any kind of interpersonal relationships.
But, again, it's cast in this cheerful super robo kind of tone. Tetsuo is endlessly optimistic. He keeps trying. And his failures are played as goofy mistakes rather than crushing defeats.
It's all kinds of cheerful and uplifting despite the post-apocalyptic setting. And it's a nice co…
