This season finally brought the story together, answering many of the questions about the world, its history, and the events happening behind the scenes.
However, the way some villains were defeated was incredibly disappointing. Some characters simply lose or die without any satisfying buildup or proper confrontation. And the battles? Don't even get me started. At times, it genuinely felt like the studio was too lazy to put any real effort into the fights.
Another thing that really bothers me is Rimuru himself. As much as I like him, he can be such a pushover sometimes, and it's honestly frustrating to watch.
But Episode 24 completely saved the season for me.
The finale finally revealed the bigger picture, allowing me to understand the true motivations behind the antagonists and how ev…

I could easily use this section to praise the anime for giving its characters actual depth, personal goals, and independent storylines instead of having them go completely AFK when the MC isn't around. However, this is the fourth season—everyone already knows the world-building is top-tier. What actually needs to be addressed is the tragic pacing. If you watched this as it aired weekly, it felt like an endless string of teasing. It constantly promised that something massive was just around the corner, and even when action finally broke out, it was treated as merely a stepping stone for something bigger. Because of this, the finale—while objectively good—ended up feeling slightly underwhelming. When you spend a dozen episodes building up to an insane climax, the actual payoff rarely m…

Season 3 might have been forever dubbed to “The Last Time I snoozed Under the Coffee Table”, this season might have been the dream my brain was experiencing then and there. A colossal rave that oozes the same wave of hype as that of season 2.
This season was enough to CPR the fall off that the series suffered from the last season. It got so many things right on track. For starters, we are acting on something instead of committing a 9-5 zoom call. We got politics, fights, conflict, betrayals, extortion and mind bending plot twists all on a cohesive package. And what might be the best opening song and sequence in the franchise too. And let’s not forget the Mariabell-themed ending song.
What puts this season above the rest in my opinion was that we finally got answers and revelations about…

This season was a fun watch as always. This show really does not have that unique or great of a story, but it is strangely entertaining to just watch Rimuru gather companions, build his country, and just become ridiculously overpowered. The show has a great set of characters, and it is just fun to watch how Rimuru befriends the most powerful beings in their world. The first half of this season is really just about that, and on the other hand, the second half is about the story of the mysterious Hero who was mentioned multiple times since the first season.
Story-wise, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is not really special, it's not bad, but it's not that special. It is especially true in this season. The whole thing about the villain and the Hero was interesting at least, but it's n…

I enjoyed this season much like I do Skyrim, which is to say if you don't pay attention to the main storyline, it's a blast.
If you're watching Season 4 of Slime I don't really need to sell you on its strengths or bore you with its weaknesses. I love it for its signature silliness, cute character design, cool ability system, cool fights, etc., you can fill in the blanks. It peeves me a bit with its occasional pacing issues, cliche faux drama, etc., you can fill in the blanks.
Instead, let me talk about the main reason it's not a 9 or 10 in my book. There was a lot going on in the main questline this season. Lots of moving parts, lots of key players, lots of questions, not many answers. As a writer, if you're obfuscating your plot, and you're insistent on things becoming increasingly de…

After this long time Rimuru finally returned for another exiciting season. I recall how incredible this anime was, especially in the start as all another great titles. It's really hard to keep tension in future season, But I think in this one author did it good. As usual it is divided into two parts, one storyline for first 12 episodes, and another storyline, which is consequence to the previous. You can even notice it by opening. Plot, music, and especially couple of twists are breathtaking. Of course, some sort of politics and more and more fluence of Tempest on world. Really like that there were added some concepts, which have great influent on story. But one aspect of it I don't like. And this is demons, which are really shown in each second anime like good creatures, but in fact it is…

Yeah… give me the slime. Goo goo gaga, I got demons now and I bring back the dead 😂
Honestly, I don’t even care that much about the plot anymore. I’m invested in the world, but mostly I’m here for Rimuru. I genuinely love this dude. He’s ridiculously overpowered, but he never becomes an insufferable jerk or some emotionless dude. He stays true to his values and actually has a future for this world that I can get behind.
The biggest problem is that everything is just TOO easy. The stakes look high, but they’re really not. Important characters barely die, Rimuru always finds a way, Raphael does most of the work, and then everyone goes, “Wow, Rimuru, you’re amazing!” 😂
But you know what? I don’t care. I’m too invested. At this point, Slime is basically an old friend. We haven’t changed m…

When the first season aired it presented itself as a cozy anime with a benevolent being that was making the world a better place and I loved it, and throughout later seasons it half-assedly introduced washed out politics and topped it off with morally-gray characters that are the season's villain for the sole convenience of generating false tension that never delivers ANYTHING. Despite its best efforts, the conflict and tension end up feeling as if it never really happened.
The more this series progresses the more I notice the evident struggles of the author in forcing a story with elements that imply this is a serious piece where the plot revolves in a world with consequences, but inevitably falls short as this is one of the most plot-convenient power fantasy pieces ever written. Even if…

I’ve finished the first two cours of Tensura Season 4. To sum up this part, we got storylines involving the development of Tempest, politics, and elements like Chronoa and time loops, aspects that didn't really appeal to me. There was also the wasted potential of Mariabell as an antagonist (she was hyped up significantly, yet her story ended abruptly), and the battles were uneven, especially those involving Rimuru, or the final episode, which was just so-so. On the positive side, however, the art style and animation stand out, for me, they are a step up from previous seasons.
So, I’m giving it an 8/10. The first part of Season 4 isn't perfect, but it’s still a hundred times better than the entirety of Season 3, which, in my opinion, was the worst season of Slime. Now, all that’s left is…

Major face-lift from previous seasons. This actually looks like what a modern popular anime should look like but is held back by its story and genre.
There will be a total of 5 cours for Season 4 as "Season 4 Part 2" has already been announced. This season covered 2 cours.
Everything for this season is a massive, noticeable improvement from Season 3. The art, the animation, the music queues, all on the same quality or better than Season 1 & 2. Better than even the movies (Looking at you Scarlet Bond movie). The only real issue I've had was with the pacing as it felt like the show was dragging its feet at times like a typical shounen showing everyone's reaction faces slowly whenever Rimuru does something or the dialogue taking noticeable pauses (like Rimuru's "aura-farming" speech).
As f…

How can I start? If I were to start this show now, I would not start it. The only reason I think it's good is that I've watched since season 1 back when I was a kid, and seeing the characters and story development kinda feels good.
But the story has no depth, no real consequence, nothing that makes you feel inspired.
The 4th season continues the same idea: Overpower Rimuru and his overpowered subordinates will make things right, and even though most anime, at the end of the day, we know things will be alright, the journey on Tensei Shitara Slime doesn't offer the emotions you feel in other stories. That's it. Will I watch the next season? Yes (if I am alive). Why? Because it's nostalgic and fun to watch, a typical anime for you to watch while you are eating something, or after you fini…

The entire Tensei shitara Slime saga is pretty good; personally, it belongs in the top tier of Isekais alongside Konosuba and Re:Zero. What makes Slime so interesting is how the main character manages and controls his country. However, honestly, I felt this season was a bit weak...
Story: 6
The problem wasn't the lack of battles or the heavy focus on meetings and politics, because Isekai anime with almost zero action like Ascendance of a Bookworm are simply excellent (an easy 8 in its season). The problem with Slime was how it told the story. The first part focusing so much on the dungeon was kind of boring and felt like filler. Then, the whole Mariabell plot—a villain who had been hyped up since previous arcs—was really disappointing, just like the continuation of her arc. It seems like…

Cour 1: Just like usual it starts with some slice of life eps, focusing on the characters and setting things up for the bigger events. Some might find these eps slow but I actually enjoy this side of Slime. And man, give Yuuki an Oscar😂. The way things build towards the final eps was handled well and it sets up the next part nicely.
Cour 2: It directly picks up from where Cour 1 ends and gets more interesting. We get new members joining the story, more world building and some important developments. The final eps focusing on Chloe and her story were definitely the highlight. The concept they introduced there was really interesting and added another layer to the story.
But man after everything that happened, they played it safe. They could have ended things for one character (iykyk). Tha…

The fourth season of reincarnated as a slime is a great addition to the series. It continues to do a good job at empire building though it's more economic/diplomatic improvement in the first parts of the season. The world building in this season is excellent, it addresses plot points raised all the way back in the first season and took a very daring twist that I did not see coming.
As always with slime it introduced interesting new characters and added a bit of character to the existing ones. The characters still are not the most nuanced but I think that's fine for this anime. The second opening this season was lovely.
Overall this is a lovely fourth season and a pleasure to watch. If you don't like the diplomacy/talking parts of slime you may be bothered by the earlier parts of this s…

Well, now that this season has ended, I thought there were a few things I’d like to comment on that I’ve been holding onto.
It pains me to write this, because even though this anime has made several decisions I don’t like, I still have a soft spot for it; otherwise, I wouldn’t have kept watching it or written this review.
Starting with the point that’s been bothering me the most—Rimuru’s “Raphael” ability—it’s strange because I’ve been through all these seasons and only recently started to be bothered by this—maybe around the third season, if I’m not mistaken—and I’ve never seen anyone comment on it until now, but Rimuru has very few “achievements” of his own merit; Raphael does almost EVERYTHING for him, and that’s been bothering me a lot over time. Rimuru has become a slave to his own ab…

So how many meetings are there in this season? Do we have enough meetings? Maybe we should have more meetings?
We are back again with our slime Rimuru, with some meetings but also much more to see. The story takes us into the next couple arcs and gives us a good mix of world building, action and character development. But I will say there are still some meetings. We can never run from that.
Now the plot for part one of this season covers multiple arcs and therefore has multiple buildups and resolutions throughout it. These are done very nicely by having not just pure build up before the end of an arc, but instead having small climatic moments that make the story take a larger push forward. This keeps you entertained during the build up, and lets the story have time to lay the groundwork…

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a great anime. The people writing bad reviews are enraged Mushoku Tensei fans who are mad that their basic isekai, which contains and normalizes disturbing sexual themes involving minors and incest, didn’t get rewarded as “Best Isekai” or become the “best-selling” title.
Mushoku Tensei is a disgusting anime, and I believe it only ranks so highly because of the majority of weirdos who watch anime. We can’t lie: a lot of people associate anime with weird behavior because of “those” people. If you remove all the disturbing elements, it’s just a regular isekai with nothing that really stands out other than an overweight man being reincarnated. It would be your average isekai slop, but who doesn't enjoy isekai slop? it still wouldn't rank this high th…
