Introduction

The fierce battle between Meliodas, the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, and the Great Holy Knight Hendrickson has devastating consequences. Armed with the fragments necessary for the revival of the Demon Clan, Hendrickson breaks the seal, allowing the Commandments to escape, all of whom are mighty warriors working directly under the Demon King himself. Through a mysterious connection, Meliodas instantly identifies them; likewise, the 10 Commandments, too, seem to sense his presence. As the demons leave a path of destruction in their wake, the Seven Deadly Sins must find a way to stop them before the Demon Clan drowns Britannia in blood and terror. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I have a complicated relationship with The Seven Deadly Sins. I genuinely enjoy the characters and the world, but at this point the story was already starting to feel like it was stretching itself a little too much. There are still some really good moments and fights, but the magic I felt during the earlier seasons wasn't as strong anymore. The biggest problem is that I wanted to care more than I actually did. Everything is supposed to feel huge and dramatic, yet sometimes I was just watching things happen instead of being completely invested in them. Still, I can't deny that seeing the Sins together is always entertaining. Not the worst season, but definitely one where I started feeling that maybe this story should have known when to slow down. Score: 6/10

The second season is good—just like the first—and a hundred times better than the completely pointless Signs of Holy War. It has interesting battles, a solid storyline, and new enemies to keep things engaging. That said, it definitely doesn’t reach a 10 out of 10. What’s missing? I’m not entirely sure—it just doesn’t grip me the way top-tier anime I've watched have. Something about it doesn't quite pull you in on the same level. Also, Elizabeth's constant sweet-talking and over-the-top affection really gets on my nerves. She ends up being the most annoying character in the series for me. There’s just so much sugar-coating and excessive coddling—it’s way too much. Anime isn’t usually made for kids, and this one isn’t either, considering the fights, blood, and darker themes. But those ove…

The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandments This is undoubtedly the BEST season of the entire series and yet it just barely reaches the average standard. Nanatsu no Taizai is not a bad anime/manga, it is simply so average that people either expect too much or are rejecting it from the start. Apart from the simplest shounen concepts and relatively decent background, this shounen offers nothing more. One of the main reasons why this shounen didn't succeed was the lack of talent of the author to create actual situations and drama. Most of the scenes had actual potential, but it was just wasted. Fraudin could have been a very deep villain, instead, they tried to make him seem deep somehow in the last 2 minutes, which of course just seemed bad. The hype around the 10 Commandments se…

Here it is folks, the last good season of Nanatsu no Taizai. It's all downhill from here. We get a lot more information about the various Sins backstories and lots of flashbacks revealing information that has only been hinted at up until now. It's neat learning more about the giants and their culture and history, and also seeing what happened to the fairies after King left them to go adventuring. It's funny how they treat Ban as their new king for a bit. It's satisfying finally getting answers to a lot of the questions that were raised in season 1 about some of the character's pasts and some of the most emotional moments in this franchise have always come from those flashback sections. The introduction of actual DBZ power levels into the narrative is one of the laziest decisions ever mad…

Story: pretty okay with many characters introduced. Although there aren’t many things that were super crazy, I still liked the hints and the background of some of the characters. Art: Now this is one of my biggest problem with the anime. Although characters are supposed to be scary, the animation made them all looked cartoonish, so after a while I kinda get bored of the looks. Sound: um nothing special here. Pretty okay. Characters: I liked the battles between Meliodas and the Ten Commandments. But something happened to Meliodas th…

It had been a couple years since I'd seen the first season (which I very much liked) and I finally got around to watching this. Lets get the good out of the way: - The art & sound are great. - The *majority* of characters continue to be fun, enjoyable and interesting to watch (with nice relationships between them which change & progress throughout the season). - The fights are definitely the highlight, nicely animated and keep things changing - if fights are all you look for in a show you'll like this one. Now the bad: - The writing is atrocious. Like I don't expect much from anime, but this is BAD. Just blatant exposition, repeating of the same line over & over, and horrible last minute story elements which have clearly just been thrown in to add more things for the characters to do. -…

The second season of the seven deadly sins is something interesting. The season grows upon what was introduced in the first season of this anime, by expanding the scope of the narrative with the introduction of the commandments, well-constructed animation, and art style, soundtrack that fits in with the world of Britannia and the development of characters serve to create an enjoyable anime. The story is constructed well, the introduction of the ten commandments serves to craft a tense new conflict to drive the narrative. The first commandment encountered sets in the true power of the commandments. However, season two doesn't resolve the flaw behind its previous season. That being, I can enjoy the anime but wouldn't mind if I accidentally forgot about its existence. The animation was w…

After feeling deterred from the lack of character development from the first two seasons, I was immensely happy when the writer took time showing the backstories of the Sins. It helped explained why the characters acted a certain way, and it also deepened them, especially Meliodas-sama. Any doubts I had about him are swallowed. The show even took it a step further in the last episode, where we see him express his fears and internal conflicts. Unfortunately, other characters weren't developed like the Sins. I'm talking about Elizabeth and the new villains, here. Elizabeth is the same from season one, and since she has no flaws, except from cliché ones, she can't get any character development. I didn't hate her character, but I didn't like her either because she was just there. Her role was…

Really enjoyed the show. It had mostly everything that an anime enthusiast likes to see- badass mc, sound effects perfectly in sync with the show, drawing you towards the show. It breaks the common cliche of many anime in which the mc is op but the other characters do not even compare, which I really appreciate. Reason why you should definitely have a go for this one: 1) Gradual character development of all characters 2) Lovable main character 3) Portrayal of the peck order of people based on power level done perfectly. 4) unexpected revelations gathering jaw dropping reactions 5) Never gets boring at any point P.S: if you are looking for some fanservice, you will definitely enjoy the show.

From the beginning, I really liked the story. and there are lots of funny moments especially when the echo scene heheehe. The animation is really good for season 2, really like it, thanks to the animators. The music per scene makes you not bored with the characters' angles and makes you feel uncomfortable watching it. But sometimes I get bored with the intro flashback, every episode I always skip I'm sorry. For Outro Hawk Chan, it's really the best, it's really funny to hear the voice ehhehe matches the character. Sometimes I feel like anime is serious, uh, suddenly it becomes funny again. A recommendation for those who are bored at a pandemic house, this is a really recommended anime.

A very very very predictable series, and a very very very boring one too. I don't know why everyone is raving about this series. It's very predictable. I knew what was going to happen episodes behind. It's that predictable and boring. It's just too predictable, it's annoying. I found myself yawning and getting distracted by something else apart from this series, that isn't good for me. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is the best anime for the Seven Deadly Sins. With that being said, the artwork is great. Don't get me wrong, I liked the artwork, it's just the series that's boring. Netflix has the artwork down. It's good to be fair. The story is better than the rest of the series. But still predictable. No main characters dies, meh. I found myself saying meh a lot. It's just too pr…

I enjoyed this season, but I have to remember why. I either watched this series too slow or there wasn't much going on. The plot of demons and angels is still vague to me but it serves up enough of a storyline to provide for some entertaining fights. Meliodas and his demon past was being peeled back so slowly throughout the series that it felt old. I know it's a huge core component of the plot, but it gets referenced so much they're reminding the viewer about it every chance they get. Elizabeth's transformation as a character, as little as it is, felt kind of sudden. All of a sudden she's more bold and displaying some sort eye power. I'm assuming that gets explored more in the following season. As flashy as the combat was, it always felt one sided. They're always saying what someone'…

(warning: contains spoilers) I was really liking this season up to about three-quarters of the way in. Great story, lots of interesting background info/development given to existing characters like Diane, Ban, and of course Meliodas. And... then it kind of died for me. As usual, a new threat emerges that makes the old one look like small fries. It's said that if Hendrickson is a whirlwind, then the Ten Commandments are a "natural disaster." Each one of them is nearly ten times as strong as the average Seven Deadly Sin, with a weaker member making quick work of Meliodas during one of the earlier episodes. Yet later, when the final Sin Escanor is introduced, he's so OP that he's able to demolish two of them with little effort... uh, what? Meanwhile, virtually all of the Sins besides him an…

this is my first review lol i just felt like saying something about this season of nantsu no taizai but i'm not gonna be as proper or as descriptive as the rest of the reviews lol. i really enjoyed the first season of this show, it was the second anime i had ever watched so naturally i became super attached and fell in love with everything about the show/manga. i've seen that a lot of people who usually review animes have watched hundreds of them, and are super descriptive and critical of any shows. they obviously have more 'experience and knowledge' when it comes to anime or whatever so im an amateur i guess lolol. nanatsu no taizai: imashime no fukkatsu was probably the last season of anime i watched before i stopped watching anime completely (like more than a year ago). i kinda think…

I found myself missing the music from the first anime but this was good in its own way, I enjoyed some of it but some of it I feel could have been done better and need a bit more work. I liked how they went into more detail of the character's past tho I feel some of the characters new and old changed from OP to less than powerful to often. I enjoyed how they introduced some of the new characters and found myself having almost as much fun as the original when I watched it. And found myself coming back for more till the end. But while fun still felt not as great as the first one.

When I watched the 1st season, I was unimpressed. I gave it a 6/10. I enjoyed the sequel even less and I'll explain why. There will be a few spoilers but I'll warn you ahead of time. Animation: 1) I hate the character design. 2) The animation for action/fight scenes is always mediocre. Sound: 1) soundtrack is forgettable . 2) Much like the 1st season, most voices don't fit the characters and most male seiyuus' performaces made my ears bleed. Story: 1) It moves at a rapid pace and I love it. 2) For an episode to entertain me has to have Ban in it. Every other character is either boring or has a voice that just breaks immersion for me. In fact, out of the 24 episodes that this season has, I've only liked 4 of them (5th, 8th, 10th and 13th. 3) Overall, the story and events that h…

I really wanted to start this season especially after watching the first one in two days, I was in hype, and at first it more than satisfied my expectations, I love the enemy organizations (akatsuki vibes) and the 10 Commandments are really cool, but I think they haven't fought them as they deserve, in general this anime has a fast but constant rhythm, at least the first season was like that, but in this one I think they have exaggerated a little the speed and there has not been time to develop the emotions in the combat, since the combats against the 10 Commandments have lacked sense, 1: because the scales of power don't allow for any kind of doubt, 2: because the fights last one chapter (two at most) and you don't have time to really develop anything. For me, the anime was low in qualit…

In short, the story was OK, the characters much as I recall them from season 1, etc.. The thing is... the symbolism kind of turned me off... a lot. I don't know why, it just did: the bad guys under a demon king are called commandments, and our heroes (as anyone from seasons 1 will know) are the deadly sins (nothing new there, but it all felt uncomfortably upside-down; reversed; wrong. I pushed through in order to finish and see how it all turned out, but there wasn't any real satisfaction to that. Would I watch it now, for the first time, in retrospect, if I could somehow know then how I'd feel afterward? Honestly, no. The first season, sure, but this one felt too "off".

This season was a hit or miss, you can either hate it or love it. Personally, I am something in-between I both like the season and at the same time hated It. Let's start from the bad stuff that is mostly the plot holes and secondly, that we didn't see anything interesting for the characters. "Oh, so king has not wings find out in season 3", "oh so Meliodas was a traitor of the demon clan and also Gowther is a member of the ten commandments find out more in season 3". Well, remember when I said that nothing interesting happens to the characters well I was wrong, those that I mentioned before are interesting moments. BUT WHY SEASON 3 I came here for season 2, not 3. Now let's move to the good stuff or as I like to say "the elephant in the room" the God damn animation, visuals, soundtrack and…

Seven Deadly Sins continues off where it left off. To me this was the true 2nd season. Many reviewers seem to hate the season but I feel as if they are overeacting. Overall the story is great. The Demon race has been freed and it is now a battle to take down the 10 commandments who work for the Demon King. There are a ton of emotional moments, great backstories as well as your typical goofy moments. Art wise is pretty much the same however I have noticed on a copule ocassions where some action seems were pretty dull and not as detailed and a couple scenes that were just repeated. Other wise you wouldnt really notice a difference. Characters are just as great as before. You get to know a lot of the support characters a lot better. It is nice to see the lighter side of Gil. Another charac…
