This anime is for those that are wanting a lot of cuteness and de-stressing from their daily lives. There's no huge plot, there's some nice but slow character development and a relationship that develops naturally. It's faster than an usual romance anime, so you can already enjoy the two characters being together from the start. The animation is really good. It's already fine in most episodes, but they really outdo themselves in certain scenes. Despite being invisible, Akira is a protagonist you enjoy easily. Shizuka is also extremely adorable. There are some goofier moments with her that the anime might've been better without, but otherwise they are both solid main characters. The side characters aren't bad either. Despite getting less screen time, I don't think there was a single one I…

Loved the new concept of having an invisible male lead! However I have to warn you, if you are watching to see some quick romance be prepared for some real SLOW burn. I really didn't have that much expectations and it kind of surprised me on how well done it is. However, it can be a bit rushed and slow at the same time?? Just wished there was more focus on the main romance rather than others. Loved the storyline and characters in this anime, it really portrayed a more mature view of romance. If you enjoy innovative and more "grown up" plots and problems, it's a nice watch! However don't expect to have those corny giggles when watching it.

It's another one of those female leads that are ~unique~ and ~pure~ for being naive of relationships. But the voice acting is so cute that I semi-reluctantly ate it up. Though it's got a surprising amount of skinship given that, and the fan service being mostly of the invisible guy is refreshing. I will admit that despite the complexities introduced in the worldbuilding like the different races and their interesting circumstances, the main characters are stubbornly one-dimensional. It's got like two or three episodes with standout animation, like the invisible town episode, and some of the earlier episodes with Shizuka's perspective. But that one ep with the fight scene read like a newgrounds short to me, kinda cringey, but I appreciate the effort. Overall, I'd recommend this to a romance-…

I didn't have high hopes for this romance anime, but it managed to win me over. The main characters are so sweet, and I really like how their relationship develops in a way that feels natural for their age—straightforward and mature. The supporting characters really bring the story to life, as they support the main characters as people and complement them perfectly. I really liked that they included a same-sex couple, since it doesn’t feel forced at all; it’s an excellent relationship, and above all, they help the main couple navigate conflicts with their experience. What I didn’t like was that the last two episodes felt a bit different from the rest of the anime, especially in terms of the animation and the pacing of the story. I also didn’t feel like they gave the main characters the fo…

Cute. Cute cute cute cute cute. Not only are Shizuka and Akira an adorable couple, the show explores differences in lived experiences, where the details of these different characters' lives are affected through who they are and what that's made them. Not only do Shizuka and Akira get to understand each other better as a blind and invisible person, we get to see what it's like for Jarashi as an uncommon type of monster, and for Light and Karma as a mixed race couple. Despite being fantastical, most of the experiences are in some way applicable to real life. It doesn't have the most incredible presentation, and there's the odd throwaway subplot or episode. Running a private investigation firm might sound interesting, but in the slice-of-life context, it feels like an unnecessary and often…

If you are reading this and you’re a romance fan genuinely interested in this show, take the following review and my overall score with a grain of salt. I am not far enough up my own ass to not realize that my lack of enjoyment with The Invisible Man and his Soon to be Wife is not an indicator of the show’s quality. It’s probably pretty decent. I’m just not a fan of slow, sweet, fluffy romances, which is exactly what The Invisible Man and his Soon to be Wife is. Regardless, I will publish my honest thoughts regarding the anime, leaving my record. The Invisible Man and his Soon to be Wife is fine. It’s fine I guess. That’s all I can really say. The OST is alright. The ED and OP are cute. I especially like how the ED utilizes the turquoise coloring from the original web comic. Some shots…

(Spanish review on my list) It's entirely my fault for watching this anime without thinking much about it... I saw the title and saw that the woman was blind, and I thought, "Okay, a society where there are only a few invisible people, and the relationship of how love has to prevail and how they both face discrimination—one for being invisible and the other for being blind, plus wanting to be together despite being of different species—but thanks to how they complement each other, the power of love will overcome everything!" So I built up expectations... but nope... it turns out it's a modern society inhabited by different races and species of magic and fantasy (elves, furries, orcs, humans, invisible people, animal people, and more furries, etc.). And well, it fell apart. After that, t…

" urban fantasy lore " we usually don't get much rom com based on urban fantasies , At most occasions rom com plot is always revolves around teen characters and schooling life etc . The concept which make this ultra good is showing love in positive manner like everyone can enjoy and feel it despite of having disabilities like blindness . A hidden message for society which author tried to portray is not to discriminate with weak . We should help each other and promote feeling of mutual understanding . The only complain is that involvement of LGBTQ , running out of budget and changing art style on last ep which is just a minor issue . The moments in relation weren't forced both acted in a way which we should expect from adults , no cringe dialogues or involvement of useless third parties…

Hey, you want more anime that features adults falling in love? Would you like one where it's a modern-day era where various creatures walk among humans? Funny, I've said that because I write some books that do something like that, but the concept is a little more mature than this. Sorry that I've gotten sidetracked for a bit. It's just that the similarities are there whenever I write, and I've finished this anime. Anyway, all that I've said is just what you need in the Invisible Man and his Soon-to-be Wife. I know that is a mouthful since fantasy and Isekai always have long titles. This one is just different when it leans more on the romance. In a world where humans, demi-humans, and monsters co-exist, we are greeted with two main characters. We have Shizuka Yakou, voiced by Yuka Nukui, wh…

Before I watched "The Invisible Man And His Soon To Be Wife", I didn't have high expectations. I saw some posts about it on social media and although it didn't appeal to me at first, since I found the premise kinda goofy, I decided to give it a try out of mere curiosity. Well, as the anime shows us: you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. From the first episodes, I was enamored of Shizuka and Akira's blooming relationship. Their chemistry was very natural and I loved their interactions from the get-go. They were the heart of the story, since it revolved around their developing relationship and I always looked forward to see more of their growth as a couple. I was relieved to see that there were no meaningless conflicts between them and that they shared their problems with each other.…

Every season we have a ton of romantic comedies. "The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife" is another one on the table, and the big catch initially in the title is Invisible Man. A romance where the protagonist is invisible. What the title doesn't tell you as well is that the female protagonist, Shizuka is blind. So here we have a setup of a man who can't be seen mostly and a woman who can't see. This is the big thing about this show because it really dives into the difficulties that our leads can have. How does Akira struggle in not being seen? While, of course, for Shizuka how she deals with her blindness. The show strikes a good balance in treating their disabilities seriously but not dwelling on it too much so that it makes the show a downer. As this show strives for a more wholesom…

An utterly interesting adult rom-com. Very sweet and also funny. The chemistry between the main characters is perfect (I mean, who can understand an invisible man better than someone who can’t see?). It brings something new to the table — I’ve never seen a rom-com with this kind of pairing. Episode 11 is a masterpiece with crazy animation, easily the peak of the season. It dives deeper into the idea of finding who you are and expressing yourself. Easily the best episode of the whole season, way above the others in quality, animation, dynamics, and choreography. I do wish the other episodes had more dynamic animation — after seeing episode 11, the difference is striking, and it’s clear how much extra effort was poured into those standout moments. A must watch if you like adult romance…

I really enjoyed this show. It was a unique premise and I liked that we were laughing with the characters instead of at them. There was a really welcoming vibe to the show and it made Thursday anime time enjoyable. I think its biggest strength was its characters and making them each unique to themselves. It was also nice to have a romance with an adult cast that wasn't pervy but didn't shy away from the fact that people think pervy stuff sometimes. It made things relatable and added to the comedy. If you're looking for a unique slice of life screwball comedy then you'll enjoy this. If you want something that's a little more grown up, then you might get frustrated by the pg-13ness of it all.

I’ve reused this line at least 10x this season, but I don’t care, I coined it, “the irony of the girl who can’t see being the first person to truly see the invisible guy for who he is” The invisible man and his soon to be wife is genuinely one of the best adult romances I’ve ever seen. It’s straight to the point, no frills, no drama, no love triangles, just peak romantic development and two people helping each other to grow as individuals. People ask for more shows like this all the time and then don’t watch them, so please do yourself a favor and give this show a chance. The only remotely off putting thing here is Shizuka’s squealing, but it’s cute as hell, you’ll get used to it. Other than that, you’ve got two adults who are learning to love each other and themselves, while balancing wor…
