The only reason i gave this season such a high score is because it ended! It was a happy ending at that (as much as i can remember it). Other than that, it's just an empty shell of the previous season. That psychological rollercoaster ride was out of order for the 2nd one. Still, i hate when i have to wait years for a story to end, or even move on, so i had to reward the anime team for not teasing us too long. IMO, season one is a must-see emotional horror that constantly keeps you on the edge, the second one is just a bandaid over a deep psychological trauma.

(Manga read beforehand) In short: not the worst thing in the world, in my opinion, but it REALLY shoots itself in the foot by trying to adapt 15 volumes into one season. The nicest thing I can say is that it does the best it can under such a short timeframe. A serviceable, if much weaker, continuation of season 1, but if you're an anime-only watcher and thought season 2 was disappointing or wanted to see the concepts more fleshed out, I would recommend the manga. (I could probably say much more as I do have a lot of opinions, but it's hard to articulate them all. Also, may have rated it higher because I did enjoy watching it and I'm not very hard to please :P)

Don’t listen what the other say, just watch it and judge for yourself! Just finished the second season and I was not dissapointed. I thought the animation and story was good, there were some things that felt kinda rushed but imma let it pass. The story has some plot twists in it but some were predictable. The final episode felt really rushed, it felt like the studio wanted this over with as soon as possible lol but still good imo. I also realised that all the hate came mostly from manga readers and that so many chapters were skipped in the manga, but as an anime-only this was a great watch so I enjoyed it very much. Story: 8.5/10 Animation:8/10 Soundtrack: 7.5/10

Believe me... it's trash !!!!!!!!! Just read the manga if you don't want your brain to explode. Characters suddenly cooperate with each other despite having little meaningful connection or trust built between them. People who should have every reason to distrust one another suddenly work together because the plot needs them to. Major developments happen so quickly that they don't feel earned. Season 1 made the world feel dangerous because every decision had consequences. Season 2 makes the world feel like the opposite: characters make huge decisions, somehow survive, suddenly gain allies, suddenly discover convenient solutions, and everyone starts working together.

Dissapointment. I have a review on the first season on my page and the second season did not deliver any of the points I described before. First biggest difference is that the protagonists seem to face less obstacles and difficulties towards their goals. If an obstacle comes up, it gets resolved within the next few minutes or within the episode. It feels like everything goes well for the characters so much that the earlier tense and exciting atmosphere becomes bland. The psychological game that in season one already was flawed loses its logic completely. This might also be because the whole season feels rushed towards the ending and some parts don't really make sense, like the sudden appearance of air balloons, taking into consideration the recourses that they were possessing were mostly n…

What a disappointing continuation. I want to make it clear from the start that I read the manga long before the anime adaptation was announced. Precisely because I knew the original work, it was impossible not to feel enormous frustration with the direction taken in this second season. The Yakusoku no Neverland manga has its ups and downs, but it remains a very well-constructed story, with an interesting world, captivating characters, and several memorable moments. The anime, on the other hand, chose to follow a completely different path, discarding entire arcs and condensing the rest of the story in an extremely rushed way. The biggest problem isn't simply changing the original material. Adaptations can alter events and still work very well. The problem is that the changes made here lea…

Okay, listen, I liked it. I really don't understand why people hate on it. Was it is as good as s1? Not really, But it was still good. I think they rushed through too many plot points that should have had more screen time, and that they could've given more thought to the ending seen. I would have preferred this be a longer season, with proper timing and care placed into the right scenes, instead of what we got. Despite these issues, it was still a lot better than most other animes' s2s Overall, if you're comfortable with and enjoy animes that are quick paced, but still has decent plot, I'd definitely recommend watching it. If that's not your thing, read the Manga, its got tons more details and the story line gets the time it deserves. Its also not entirely the same as the anime series tho…

I watched the second season on my own, and even though I had heard a lot of mixed opinions about it, I honestly didn’t feel like it was rushed. The pacing worked fine for me, and I was able to enjoy the story without feeling overwhelmed or confused. It’s true that it differs quite a lot from the manga, and I definitely noticed those changes, but it didn’t ruin the experience it just made it feel like a slightly different take on the same world. Even with the differences, I still found it interesting, emotional, and engaging in its own way. Some moments were really strong, and I appreciated that it kept me curious about what would happen next. Overall, I liked it again and I’d give the second season a solid 8/10. It wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely enjoyable and worth watching.

I will go as far as to say that it took me five years to watch this season. Not because I'm lazy or because I had a lot of other things going on, but because the public opinion surrounding this piece was quite daunting. Immediately after this season came out, it received horrific reviews, some as low as one or two stars, and many people stated that the manga adaptation just wasn't substantive. I tried watching the first couple episodes, and I don't know if it was because of the bias of public opinion or because the pacing or feel of the first season had been kind of lost, but I immediately dropped it and rated it less than five stars. It wasn't until five years later that I rewatched season one with my father that I decided to give season two another go with him. He was quite interested in…

Very few animes are a waste of time. No matter how bad an anime is there is always something to learn from or analyze and appreciate. So here comes the question: what happened? How did an anime with a good first season end up like this? To be fair this anime has great opening and ending songs. The beginning wasn't terrible but the story becomes muddled into a blackhole of bad pacing, rushing plots, and bad decision-making from the studio and production side. The voice actors are also not at fault but you can feel them struggling to bring the characters to life compared to the first season. But what truly becomes meme worthy and baffling is the legendary ending. The ending was a PowerPoint slideshow presentation that really put the lid on the coffin and spit at the series. A clear indicati…

If you came here wondering whether you should watch this season or read the corresponding manga chapters, I'd say just read the first arc after season 1 and then watch the anime (or treat season 1 as a standalone even!). I know I'm in the minority in this opinion but, as someone who read the manga first, it's not better, just longer. The season feels rushed, the ending is disappointing and it becomes a story almost entirely divorced from the original in terms of pacing and plot. Say goodbye to interconnected threads forming a cohesive and tight knit narrative. And yet! I can at least appreciate that it didn't waste too much of my time, unlike the winding plot threads that come and go and result in fuck all from the manga. I will give it a 7 out of spite, it really deserves a 5 at absolut…

When i started the season i was like??? Why is everyone complaining??? This is not bad, until I saw it all: - i did not read the manga but it doesn't take a lot of thought to notice how much of the content was skipped! And the production rushed - Lazy animations - Lazy build up - By the naration of the main story line you could easily tell season 2 should have been 2 or 3 seasons. - Besides the fact that they cut the whole story............................ THEY GAVE SPOILERS AT THE END WITH WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN????? So now I can't even read the manga because I already know how it's going to end because in the last episode they show snapshots of events that look like 2 seasons worth of content............ SO BAD!

I've heard since it came out "oh, Promised Neverland S2 sucks" "worst anime ever" "We need TPN Brotherhood!" To be honest, as someone who hasn't read the manga, I agree that this is terrible but, like, I don't see how adapting Goldy Pond would've made this any better The problem is in the foundation. No amount of faithfulness to the manga could've saved this show, in my eyes. I didn't write a review about it but TPN S1 was pretty good. I think it just comes off as a show that did not need another season at all tbh. If it ended with the kids escaping the house, that would've been a great 12-episode story. We didn't need to know what happened to the Final Girls after they escaped [insert slasher villain here], all that mattered was them escaping. You'd need to rewrite it a little to wrap…

This is by far the worst anime adaptation I've ever seen in my whole life. I loved season 1 with all my heart, so much so that I read the manga right after. The promised neverland is still one of my favourite manga ever, and you could imagine my excitement at the announcement of season 2. Well, it made it made me fall into a big depression. What the hell was that. Where all my beloved characters? Where all the best arcs? What was that ending??? I've never been more angry while watching an anime. I truly hope that the studio will go bankrupt for doing such an horrible job. How can a 12 episode season cover 18 books?? This is simply impossible, and it has birthed a monster that I almost cried from disappointment watching. Words cannot convey how sad I am to see one of my favourite manga butc…

Oh yes! The first season was so amazing, so thrilling! I love watching it! Excited for the second season just to be disappointed. They did not even need to animate this if they were going to make it so bad. They could have only kept the first season on there and not have animated the rest because they did a terrible job at shoving it all into 12 episodes. An increase to 24 for this season would have been better so they could have not rushed it, make it not enjoyable, and give us the actual story. Everything in this season was less enjoyable. The characters, the plot, everything. Just watch the first season, don't touch the second season.

As someone who watch the anime i recommend it i read manga readers complaining but honestly except the fact that as s2 doesn't keeps you on edge compared to S1 ,the story is good . The story pace was fine as well I'd rather the anime end in 2 seasons then being dragged on forever by adding unnecessary arcs if the story is fine without them . honestly if the story felt weird or cut scenes , then it would make sense adding more but no it was good everything made sense you got a nice ending the smartness of charachters stayed . As someone who just watched anime the anime is good if anyone is more interested in other arcs they can read the manga but even without things that people are mentioning from the manga the story is nice . Are people just complaining about the anime not following…

This season had decent development of the themes present in the first. It felt rushed but didn’t leave me disappointed, though I might feel differently if I had read the manga. Despite the changes, the story felt intentional. There might be plot holes, but it’s not hard to fill in the gaps. Many of the negative reviews I read before watching brought up valid issues, but you should draw your own conclusions. I don’t know if the average score here is fair. It’s certainly not great when anime deviate from source material to rush a final season, but to people who are coming in without having read the manga you’ll likely find this worth a watch.

Let me start by saying my opinion is of someone who has only ever seen the anime. I do not enjoy revealing or being subjected to spoilers, so I will try my best to stray from them. Now, with that out of the way, this second season simply...sucked. I loved the first season enough to give it a 10, and it held such a special place in my heart. The construction of the episodes, the tension, the atmosphere—I can keep listing all the positives of the 1st season. It laid the foundation for something that was both promising and quite interesting, especially for a horror fan such as myself. It clicked all the boxes. The 2nd season simply...destroyed all of that. In almost an instant. It was boring and predictable. What started out as good horror was now very close to....well, a fairytale. And, as…

Thoght I'd be watching some Attack on Neverland and ended up watching The Promised Naruto Academia. This show went from almost masterpiece to average, and I'm being generous The story was predictable and sometimes nonsense I do like it's soundtrack though The characters are mostrly anoying. If you shut down your brain, you may enjoy it, but knowing that almost everyone watching this has already watched the first season, it's obvious that you'll have high expectations. This plot is literally The Promised Nevermind ********** Ok I have to be honest. I really want to publish this review, BUT I don't have much more to say XD. At the time I filled in what I had left with ASCII art to reach the minimum number of characters that the page requires to be able to publish a review, but after a whi…
