This anime has left me emotionally drained, but in the best possible way. Season 1 was amazing, but Season 2 took it to a whole new level. The introduction of Shichimiya was a game-changer. I mean, who wouldn't love another chuunibyou cutie? Her dynamic with Rikka was instant magic, and I loved how their shared "8th Grade Syndrome" created a bond between them. But what really got me invested was how Shichimiya's arrival affected Yuuta and Rikka's relationship. I won't lie, I was worried it might create unnecessary drama, but the writers nailed it. The tension and jealousy were palpable, but ultimately, it strengthened Yuuta and Rikka's love for each other. The character development in Ren is phenomenal. Yuuta's growth from a reluctant participant to a fully invested partner in Rikka's f…

I've never given a series a review before, but for this, I feel like I have to. The first season of Love Chuunibyou was, to me, a brilliant show, it had a defined and playful sense of humour (even if it wasn't for everyone), an overwhelming sense of atmosphere granted by KyoAni's incredible animation and a loveable cast of characters; but above that, all of this was in service to a deeply touching message about growing up, facing trauma and and embracing your childish side. we got to watch our favourite characters get challenged in a meaningful way, forced to evolve and mature as people. I understand that it wasn't a show that everyone could enjoy, but it meant something and made itself one of my all time favourite shows. It was also a show with an ending. A definite one. One which needed…

The first season of this anime goes into my favorite, so I'm really excited to start watching the second season. They still of course keep the Chuunibyou aspect. It looks dumb at first, but it convey a great message to the viewer. It works as a great storytelling material. New characters means new problem will pop up. There's a lot of new interesting relationship dinamic between all the characters. Since their Chuunibyou arc is finished in the first season, this one is more focused on the romance. We will follow the story of how Yuuta and Rikka can upgrade their relationship. They're both is a boyfriend and girlfriend but they still shy with each other. And this is where their friends come to help. Side characters is amazingly good at making the story progress. They're the real MVP for ke…

Part 1 English Part 2 Bahasa Indonesia -------------------------------------- Well, hello there my dear anime enthusiasts! I had the pleasure of watching Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. From the story to the art style, this anime had a lot to offer. Let's start with the story, shall we? It was unique and refreshing, which is always a good thing. The concept of chuunibyou (delusions of grandeur) is one that we don't often see in anime, and it was fascinating to see how the characters navigated through it. The plot was engaging and kept me on my toes throughout the entire series. Now, let's talk about the art style. Oh boy, where do I even begin? The animation was top-notch, and the character designs were simply adorable. The vibrant c…

This is a sequel that by the end of it is making you feel nothing but wishing you got more. There are some things that I think this sequel does really well, but at the same time struggles in. But let’s start off with the good things. The creators of this do a pretty incredible job of making the characters stay true to themselves, which at times can be really frustrating because you want things to progress, but similarly doesn’t make anything that happens that seems forced or purely is there for fan service. The development of the characters feels natural, and the few “is it gonna finally happen?” Moments feel incredibly rewarding. It’s also worth mentioning that we see a lot of side characters having by developing relationship that are equally worthy of emotional investment. That being…

THIS IS A SPOILER-FREE REVIEW The first season of "Chuunibyou" was a calm and relaxing experience with the typical Kyoto Animation touch. On my way to watch every single anime this studio has ever produced i have never ever seen them make a bad show. The quality was so high that i thought this studio was invincible. Turns out that that is not the case. My review for Chuunibyou Ren, which i will just call "Ren" here: Story - 5/10 I mean, i didn´t expect them to make an insanely detailed plot or whatever. The first season never laid it´s focus on that and no one had a problem. The second season however throws what little story there is completely out of the window. At least the first season had something of a red line throughout it´s 12 episodes and a central theme it tries to explore. Th…

This left me feeling...empty. unfinished. definitely wanting. it's like they intentionally left it incomplete. you get the point. second year kids still acting in a fantasy world like they are is a bit of a stretch for me. if they were like MS, it would be believable. I think my biggest problem were some of the characters that went along with them as the days past on. they brought down the best ones in the show. Rika - I love Rika, I really do, but the fantasy part needs to be dialed back from 10 to 5. she'd be more realisitic and able to attempt to communicate with others, especially Yuuta. Kudos to her for making the most of a relationship with Sofia, though! That was some truly mature junk right there. She develops well, despite holding on to too many of the fantasy things. Thank you…

SUMMARY:If you liked the first season, you'll like it. I see that many complain about this second season, but I did not notice anything wrong with it, for me it is just a little inferior than the first season, the central theme is no longer the eighth grade syndrome, in this case is love, without a doubt it was very entertaining to see yuuta and rikka again advancing in their relationship, the new waifu also brings many interactions with the 2 main couple, good character, maybe the only bad thing is that this season feels like fill but thats opinion of each one. SPOILER WARNING:no kiss. RESUMEN:Si te gusto la primera temporada, te gustará. Veo que muchos se quejan de esta segunda temporada, pero no le note nada malo, para mi es un poco inferior que la primera temporada,el tema central deja…

I loved everything. storytelling was great and barely lacked anything as much as to put detail in this and that scene, art was great, old KyoAni had it back in 2014, soundstage and voices were great and ephasised well. Characters were fenomenal and the only "bad" characters, really...were their school teacher in the blue outfit and nishiki's gay friend lmao. Enjoyment was 10/10, you barely get bored even when watching it for one character only. I rated it 10 for the place it took in my heart and the memories that will stick with me, alongisde the 1st season, movie, lites of these 3, specials, ovas... I only wish Shichimiya got a better ending/closure, and NibuMori had its justice like Rikka and Yuuta had, lmao. I would probably screaming my lungs out of happiness and be jumping around for…

Alright, here is my review on the entirety of the anime Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. (This includes the movie as well.) This anime was a very cute and funny anime. The characters all had there chunibyo syndromes and were all very funny and cute. The drama of this anime is quite good. With how Rika had to choose between the love for her chunibyo self or love with Yuuta and become a normal girl was something I saw unique. The relationships between the MC and Rika and with all he other characters were all wholesome and funny. The romantic drive was there in the anime and delusions of them in fights were all greatly animated. I felt like I had a connection to this anime, because I myself, had chunibyo syndrome or 8th grade syndrome if you will. It wasn't has big as Rika's but it was still…

The second season of Love, Chuunibyo and Other Delusions picks up shortly after the events of the first season. Yuta and Rikka are now a couple and live together under the same roof. If you were hoping that this would lead to huge developments in their awkward relationship, you will probably be disappointed. Yuta and Rikka are as much of a shy odd couple as ever. Even small things like holding hands prove to be beyond their comfort level in the beginning. While other romance anime like Clannad saw the two main characters go from being a student couple to starting a family between seasons, the second season of Chuunibyo takes only tiny baby steps in the development of the romantic relationship. But is this really such a bad thing? Like Yuta proclaims in one of the episodes, his relationshi…

This is my personal review of Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren IT CONTAIN SPOILERS Story: 8 In this 2nd year of school Yuuta, when he had the chuunibyou syndrome, wrote a message to the future Yuuta where he asked to Rikka to awaken the dark flame dragon, she has to find 3 coins, I like the fact that 1 of the coins was in Shichimiya's hand because she also tried to awaken the dark flame dragon but she didn't find the 3th coin; I enjoyed this new and original story. Art: 7 The art is similar to the 1st season, like I said in my 1st season's review I enjoyed the art, above all Rikka's and Shichimiya's that are amazing, also the fights are pretty good. Sound: 9 The sounds in this season are too good, I think i have heard the ending more or less 100 times, it's one of the best anime endin…

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren If you liked this Show a lot for its charms and themes, you'll be a bit more disappointed in this season. It continues to include awkward scenes and reasonably average humor, but it mutates into a very lacking character drama with no real depth, with a handful of melodrama. The first season already had its problems, but it still managed to convince and appeal to the viewer with its atmosphere and bizarre moments. Here, on the other hand, the characters become even more simplistic and shallow. The humor has lost immense creativity since the joke is always repeated without expansion. In at least a few weeks, I'll probably have forgotten this season completely, as it didn't have a single special moment. In every scene you just thought "ok", there was no…

Comparing the first season to the continuation, Chuunibyou demo koi Shitai! Ren, is to differentiate apples and oranges. Reminiscing back to the first half of season 1 there's a constant barrage of memorable animation and hilarious comedy. After rewatching the first season, it felt like a perfect first pitch that is Chunnibyou demo koi Shitai! To further explain, let's dive into the characters. Rikka, the wielder of the Wicked Eye, is an active chuuni girl after being inspired by Yuuta. Underneath the veil of delusions is a shy girl who develops a crush on the normal high school boy, Yuuta. Rikka this season spends much of her time trying to revive the Dark Flame Dragon. Yuuta, the Dark Flame Master, used high school as an attempt to remove himself from his past chuuni lifestyle. Despite…

After watching and loving the first season of Chuunibyou, I avoided the second season for a long time due to its bad rating by the fans, thinking it was not worth watching, and I regret it. Chuunibyou Ren not only retains all the qualities from the first season, as it's even better. Most of it comes from the fact the viewer is already familiar with the characters and many aspects of the story, so it's easy to get hooked from the very beginning and feel emotionally connected with everything that happens within the anime. It pays heavy attention to details, which makes even little features feel special and evoke nostalgic feelings from the first season, like the Dark Flame Master and Mori Summer's character, the way they act, their catchphrases and anything associated with them, everything i…

Compared to the first season, this season is far better. It's probably due to the fact that we know the back story of the characters in the prequel, and this just builds on to that. Much more fun. This could've been a 9. For me though, the beginning episodes were too uninteresting and it gets a little boring at times: they all seems too childish and weird which made me kinda cringe (I know, I know, that's the whole point of this show and Chuunibyou disease, but still, it kind of made me feel quite uncomfortable at times). But as the episode progresses, the better it gets. The last couple episodes were great: it was wholesome, and at the same time, quite hilarious. I just loved it. Just like the previous season, the art style and the sound were relatively the same - nothing changed much ab…

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren (2014) Once again for me, the show is brought down by Yuuta, I don't get why they choose such a silly model for a male MC, he is more than just dumb but irritating. I just feel like the first 9 or so episodes were gold then suddenly his personality comes back out and it's gone. I also feel like it's another rushed ending, to be honest. The art is a very good standard throughout and very nice to look at. The sound is about the same as before being an industry standard. Satone Shichimiya is the best character of the season and the girl I actually think deserves the relationship. Just not a relationship with such an idiot so good luck Rikka. Isshiki is still hilarious as a side character and it is great seeing Dekomori with her hair down in her non-ch…

I know I'm writing for this season specifically, but the whole series is just a favourite of mine. It's really hard to find cute and wholesome anime like this. Especially in this season (and it's sequel) pursue the same vibe that Tonikaku Kawaii and Momokuri give. The two of those are favourites of mine, so naturally I loved this anime. At first (watching the first season), I thought it's just one of those "will they, will they not" animes, but since it had a sequel with them being together - it all ties in perfectly. That's why I consider this to be a perfect anime of the genre it is in. If you're looking for a wholesome and cute anime, in which the protagonists are together from the start - this is exactly for you.

Imagine this, its the year 2014 and the wait for a season after two years has finally ended. Kyoani introduces to us Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren. You think to yourself wow I can't wait to see more of my favorite club members as well as Rikka and Yuutas relationship develop as a couple. Except unfortunately that doesent happen. The charm and endearment of the first season is no where to be found this season and what we end up with is something childish at best and cringeworthy at worst. From Sitone being an annoying addition to the cast to Rikkas development and growth as a character going absolutely no where. The ending is also a giant middle finger to viewers as they are led to believe Rikka and Yuuta are finally going to get their big moment together as a couple. Oh wait they…

Its the same as season1, the first 7 episodes are boring it gets interesting after episode 8 REVIW CONTAIN SPOILER STORY: following where it left at season 1 rikka and togashi are couple and due to some situation they are living together(like there parents dont even know what the kids are doing) and due to some reason they have introduced a new character . Sumini-senpai is such a good character but they dont wanna use her they want some new character to love the hero and make it a typical drama series. Also the new character have the same reason as rikka to love the hero. Like they did the same typical drama series instead of following the last season. ART & ANIMATION: Kyoto again did its best in animating, while the art was same as before. SOUND: The end of this season was freaking g…
