Boy, howdy, the start of the 2020s sure was a time and here we are, almost finished in the year 2026. What have we been up to around that time? Well, it was certainly around the time when the COVID-19 pandemic started and nearly everywhere you go is where nearly everyone stayed at home, working at home. Fun fact: I started working a specific cleaning job for the first couple of years. Yes, I had COVID twice. Thankfully, I was given vaccine shots. I also had to flu two-three times during the holidays. But that was all part-time. I'm still with this job, yet paused and here I am, recovering after an accident over a month ago, had surgery the next morning after spending time at the hospital, waited six weeks to get my stitches removed, and now it is still healing and doing some self-physical…

might be one of the greatest animes i have ever watched, the animation is impeccable, each sound and atmosphere in each scene puts you on edge, makes you cry and gives you the chills. this is probably one of the greatest animes ever created behind mars of destruction. the characters are greatly developed and we get to see them as a child all growing up full of emotion attacking this disgraceful villains who are wonderfully written. The story is unique and one of its kind this totally has never been done before the ending was unpredictable and you never would've seen it coming. 10/10 i gibated all over the screen

Abandon all hope ye who enter here. Giibate is an anime you cannot enjoy unless you are drinking, mocking it with friends, or some sort of masochist that likes to subject themselves to the worst entries MAL has to offer. Considering there is no shot someone will watch this anime if one of these things isn't true, I can safely say it is deserving of its 'accolades'. I stumbled upon this anime as I was browsing an interest stack containing 'so bad it's good' shows, and at first I couldn't understand what was going on. I read the ridiculous over the top synopsis. I took a look at the 3.82 average rating, and even the stats that showed nearly 20k people had dropped this show (more than had completed it). Yet oddly enough I thought this would be the perfect anime for me. This seemed like an ec…

I have seen a lot of negative comments against this anime, so I will rebalance for those who want to see what positive comments give. The general criticism is made against fluidity and «bad graphics» except that most spectators know nothing about it and invent a life. Moreover, those who say that it is the «worst animated of the world» have really looked nothing, I can advise you of much worse. On the other hand, do not expect a brilliant anime : it is not particularly well done, but bearable. It ends quickly, so unless you’re one of the spoiled kids who’s pouring out all their hate on the anime, understand that it passes quickly. If the translation is not impeccable, it's google translation my friends.

To fully understand or rather to fully immerse oneself into the beauty and sublimity that is Gibiate one must have considerable patience and determination to follow through. To depict this in plainer terms: infamous Anime Discord Moderator and desktop wallpaper aficionado Drizzo, once said “You’ll have a harder time watching Gibiate than a 10 hour compilation of Nyan cat.” I was especially intrigued by that statement, so I just had to give this anime a try. Gibiate follows a group of modern day Japanese militants, two Edo period samurai, a thicc horny monk, a useless teenager, her schizophrenic mom and a smokin’ hot doctor (who is also a licensed pilot and a pro sniper apparently) as they embark on their heroic adventure to the Japanese countryside. Their ultimate goal? That is supposedl…

Ah, Gibiate, the show where time-travelling samurai fight bad CGI to save what's left of human world. Then, everyone dies left and right, and you leave more empty inside than the animators that phoned in those computer-generated abominations. I mean, this is kind of a b-movie plot and the series starts with some of that low-budget charm. I also watched it after Ex-arm, so it's hard for shoddy CGI to shock me at this point. However, Gibiate has a unique feature that makes it miserable to watch: the more important the monster, the plotpoint, the scene, the worse it is. While normal Gibia monsters look bad, the "boss" monsters important for the plot are both horrendously designed and so hideously rendered I could barely stand watching them. Also, while the overall writing is cheesy and me…

This was just disappointing. I almost feel like giving it a 1. Story/Plot - 0.9 - The writing in this story makes King's Game's narrative look good in comparison, and I'm not even joking. The plot offers some uniqueness. Badass samurais from the past are time traveled to the future to fight virus-infected humans that have been turned into monsters. It sounds cool, like something you'd fish out from the 80's or 90's. However, that coolness factor really dies off as the story turns into your typical post apocalyptic story about trying to find the cure in an unforgiving world. This would have been fine, as there was still a way to make the story interesting, but alas, the writers have the mental capacity of children. The plot elements introduced in the first episode: the samurais trying to f…

GIBIATE isn't good, but it still deserves better. Why does it deserve better? Because nearly every season I see asinine pedo-pandering isekai get scores over 7 for just existing, but GIBIATE is maligned for the cardinal anime sin of using bad CGI monsters. So everything considered, I don’t think GIBIATE was that bad. It wasn’t even remotely the worst anime I’ve seen -- it wasn't even the worst anime of 2020, in my opinion. Now, does GIBIATE have terrible art and animation? Yes. Does it have confusing direction that makes fight scenes incomprehensible, and 0 sense of space, so you never know where the characters are standing between shots? Yes. Is the CGI terrible, and more than that, are the designs for the monsters God Awful? Yes. Was the narrative completely nutso bonkers, littered with…

Terrible , it is terrible. And mind you, I have very low standards for anime. I kept watching just with the hope that it will get better but alas, I was disappointed. At the end , I just got very angry at myself for wasting my time and space. This abomination made me trust reviews because I wondered why an anime of all my favorite genres had such a low rating. I deleted it with the quickness of a leopard. Never again. For some reason, I am being asked to type a longer review. Ok. The art style is not so bad, it was quite a waste really. This anime felt like some kind of apocalyptic joke. Like, were they actually serious? There was so much more that could have been done to make it better. Just lazy work .

So, i just watched ep 1, 2 and 12 in 4x Speed and it was amazing, i got extremely attached to the characters, the plot was amazing and i cried at the end. I can't understand why people dislike this anime so much, sure if you are a CGI hater you won't like it that much but the CGI was top notch. One of the best and most badass main characters I have ever seen, a cast of brilliant characters and the best final villain I have ever seen. 10/10 It's much better than Fullmetal, give this number 1 on MAL.

Gibiate is an original horror series created by the studios Elle & L-a-unch Box. If you haven't heard of them, it's probably because they both have very scant outputs. Since it's horror anime month and this was on my request list, let's dive in. Story: Our narrative is set in the far off distant future of 2030. A mysterious virus is transforming humans into monsters called Gibia and it's spread through stings. Our main heroine is Kathleen Funada, an older teenager in a small group of scrappy survivors. The situation changes for them somewhat when two people appear in their time from the past. The Sengoku period, to be precise. They join Kathleen and take on the mission of helping escort the group to an old research facility where their scientist will hopefully be able to make a vaccine…

I genuinely enjoyed this anime. It might get some very negative criticism for good reason, and it was definitely not the best CGI animation out there (and that's an understatement.) But I actually looked forward to the show every week. It reminded me of being back in the 90s and early 2000s and discovering a few VHS or DVD episodes of some random anime tucked away in the back corner of your local Blockbuster. You'd take it home and watch it, and it wasn't necessarily GOOD, and it might have been strange and cheesy, but it was anime and so you ate it up anyway. This anime has the same sort of vibes going on. As far as the story goes, it was pretty basic. The show didn't take itself too seriously or try to be more than it was, in my opinion. It was still a fun journey and I thoroughly enjoy…

Honestly, i discovered that people didn't like this series throught Ex-arm's reviews. Honestly, nothing really bother me that much, if not that the plot was predictable, as any shounen that we all know, and that the fights are meh, but not that bad as to be compare to ex-arm's ... Or maybe is it because that i listen way more than watch anime ? Anyways, my 6 is a 100% feeling about this show, meaning that, i didn't found any enjoyment in this, but is wasn't that bad all along. I still watch it from the beggining to the actual end. Worst part would be misused of the seiyuus for me, and cheap end story, but overall there was hope !

To be fair, i really don't know how it was possible to conceive such an aberration like this. The story is pathetic, and it doesn't make any sense at all! "Ok, in 2030 we have a virus that turns people into poorly made CGI monsters, and out of nowhere, a ninja and a samurai are transported from the XVI century to this future." What the hell? What genius had this idea? The characters are terrible, too. Sensui is so irritantly boring, that I could say that a stone has more personality than him. Oh, and Kathleen is annoying. The development of the story (which is horrible, remember?) is even worse. I've never seen such a boring anime in my life. At various times, I really felt like I was going to get sleepy and close my eyes right there. As for the soundtrack, it's weak. Most BGMs are pr…

Ok, so first a few warnings: 1.This is NOT a "so bad it's good" anime. It stops at the "so bad" part 2.If you absolutely HAVE to torture yourself, do watch it with people (or in cov times, stream it with people while calling on discord or something), so at least the collective complaining and schadenfreude of your fellow sufferers will offset your pain with a minuscule amount of positivity I would also like to mention, that my french speaking friend and I resorted to calling this anime Bibitte (Bih-bit), which is a french slang for creature thing You will understand the use of the term soon enough Feel free to use the term yourself Now onto the reviews CHARACTERS AND DESIGN Starting with the characters. Oh boy I am convinced that this anime was the brainchild of a 8 year old boy. I…

I wish I could say that Gibiate is so bad that it's good, but, it's just plain Bad. A samurai and a ninjai are transported from the year 1600 to the near future, and when people find out, their reaction is ho-hum. No big deal. As if the fact that there's a mutating disease that turns humans into terrible CGI monsters means that time travel is a given. As the the CGI...I Hate CGI, even if it's well done. And this is NOT. The CGI is out of place, awful, ugly, and unresponsive. There's no life to them whatsoever. All of the characters are boring stereotypes. It's monster Armageddon, but people have time to hair dye and makeup, fancy hairstyles etc. The fights are boring and uninteresting. Big man smash. Ninja throws strings. Zoop. Samurai go aaaa. Chop Chop. Swish. 80's "tough chick" fema…

Gibiate. When I saw your 4-point mean score, I got scared. I had hopes for the beginning of the season with this work, as it looked promising. However, after watching this work, I am increasingly convinced that this is the worst anime of the year. My Review may have some spoilers. Gibiate is a 12-episode anime and features a very relevant genre these days: end of humanity. Seven years ago we witnessed the biggest explosion of a work with this theme: Shingeki no Kyojin. With a more serious footprint, Shingeki promoted an increasingly intense transition from the genre, as he broke paradigms of expectation for the reader and the viewer. Although he is a Shounen on account of the magazine, I consider him a Seinen, for working with mature and human subjects very well. Anyway, Gibiate followed…

What do you get when you have game designers from the likes of Final Fantasy, Biohazard, and Resident Evil work on the same project along with a producer with no actual anime work to his name? You get Gibiate. As the saying goes of too many cooks spoil the broth, too many game designers and producers with no anime or manga work spoil the anime. It really felt like a mishmash of story elements that everyone envisioned of creating an anime for and they threw all the ideas into a soup pot and gave it a stir to see what came out. There are mutant monsters (which just screams of Resident Evil), we have time travel as three warriors of the past are transported to the near future. There is a pandemic - very apropos given the current situation of the reality we are in right now. There are alie…

Lmao The animation was a garbage fire that I died in. I am writing this as a very dissatisfied ghost I actively prayed for character death The protag is pure edge with some grade A eyeshadow The fights looked like they were chopped with a knife The monsters looked straight out of a shitty horror game from the early 2000's The voice actors didn't fit the characters at all (especially doc, he sounded like the helpful manager at my neighborhood supermarket) There were so many holes that the plot died from blood loss The female lead's personality was as compelling as an empty Capri Sun All in all, 10/10 would die again

I normally never write a review but for this i make an exception. This anime is heavily underrated. The story feels so real as it is basically happening right now to some degree. The ending is questionable and made it score lower then it could. after episode 10 the story became sloppy and it was predictable from the start how it would end. There are only a hand full anime (out of the 1k anime i watched) where i cared about characters and this is 1 of them. You should be asking yourself. - Do i like post apocalyptic anime? - Do i like horror anime? If both yes you SHOULD WATCH IT !!
